Top Rated ConvertFlow Alternatives

Convertflow is a solid advanced tool for lead generation and capturing email subscriptions. We use it as an all-in-one platform for all of our inbound email lead generation efforts. We were considering between Conertflow, OptinMonster, the native Elementor WP capabilities, RightMessage, and a couple of other tools. None of them are geared towards advanced marketers, so we decided to go with ConvertFlow.
The key features that sealed the deal for us are:
- On-site surveys. We have one main survey that we display across the whole website. Essentially, we ask our website visitors what is their biggest marketing challenge and then offer a relevant lead magnet. This helps us understand more about our audience but most importantly allow us to send personalized lead nurturing sequences based on their response.
- Advanced lead magnet flows. A powerful feature that allows us to orchestrate different lead magnet flows - e.g., if a visitor clicks on this button show them this lead magnet.
- Powerful segmentation. The segmentation is as powerful as our own marketing automation tool, which we are used to.
- Native Segment.com integration. Probably the most critical feature that made us go with Convertflow. We can easily integrate with Covertflow and Encharge through Segment and see Conertflow activity in our product analytics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish the landing page and lead builder was more intuitive. Yes, it's fairly powerful but I find it quite hard to use compared to other landing page builders and platforms in the space like Elementor and LeadPages.
The other feature I want to see is progressive enrichment of lead information. What do I mean? When a person answers Survey 1, Question 1 on their first visit, then visit the website again and see the same survey or another survey that contains the same question - do not show this question (question 1) but instead show question 2 (or any other unanswered questions). This is currently possible but very hard to execute as you have to manually set up all of the relationships between surveys and it's almost impossible if you have dozens of lead magnets. So some sort of relationship/sharing of questions between CTAs with the option of "Skip this question if it was answered" would be great. I believe RIghtMessage has a similar function. Convert Flow is one of the most powerful and capable pop-ups, surveys, and landing page tools out there. It provides a lot of customizations, which is hugely helpful in tailoring it to the way you want it to behave. We use it for our Shopify stores for different counties and in different languages. It can always provide us the flexibility to customize it based on what we need. And the built-in A/B test capability just makes running tests so much easier and enables the marketing team to make changes on the fly based on real-time metrics without creating a workload for the web developers.
I also really like that it gives you all the customizations in designing each campaign, so I can make it align with our brand standard doesn't matter where I display it. But customizations also mean time-consuming. To make a campaign look exactly the way you want it, you have to be willing to spend the time to customize each component. The templates it provides are good, but you always need to make them fit your brand standard can be time-consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are a few small quirks that can be annoying when creating a lot of similar campaigns, such as when duplicating an existing campaign, the display conditions in the Launch stage are not carried over to the new campaign, which is not very helpful cause a lot of our campaigns have a big list of conditions and we will have to re-add all of them one at a time. There are other small things, but none of them are deal breakers. Things like when creating a big list of drop-down questions, you have to add each option one at a time; you can't paste the whole list in one go. All of them are just a bit time-consuming, that's it. Its quick and easy to create new components for you website. You can learn a lot about the lead funnel of your business by quickly creating simple A/B test and opmisations. One of the main benefits is the ease of integration to your site. The customer support is great and the dev team are extremely fast are finding solutions to technical issues. The backend CMS (convertflow dahsboard) is painfully slow and seems to have gotten worse with th enew UI updates. The reporting is not very accurate and you need to keep a track of key dates for a campaign in order to get precise data. It would be nice to be able to either annotate the campaign with key dates and changes, see a change log or have a way to reset views/conversion/completion reporting without losing historical data. Depending on where you want the lead info to end up, you may need to create some connections via Zapier. This is probably also true for being notified when the lead comes in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
