Top Rated Condens Alternatives

The application is very fast when moving between sessions, tags, and conclusions. The user experience is enjoyable and breezy. Other similar products I've used are slower and more cumbersome.
The conclusion sidebar is also brilliant. During the analysis phase, I can now quickly drop tags into a research report. My process has now become free-flowing and intuitive. Beforehand I was constrained to strictly work through the different stages one at a time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Please allow Tag Groups to be listed horizontally... otherwise it's a dream to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Condens is amazing for managing qualitative, discourse-based research projecrs across faculty, students, and collaborating organizations. It is amazingly intuitive but for those who may need more support, it offers a ton of videos and support content to get you up to speed. The trascription and translation tools are beyond amazing and certainly beat out platforms like Otter.ai which I have used in the past for accuracy and fit for purpose. The AI support of insights from the transcriptions is also very powerful and maybe the best part of the whole platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish it had a few more tools for co-managing quantitive data derived from the qualitative inputs. I'm now managing that for our research projects outside of Condens but would love to have it all in one spot for my projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best thing is that we can quickly get a transcript from interview recordings and highlight the key parts to share with the team. The video clipping feature is just great as it transmits the interviewee’s emotions to our coworkers – that makes it so much more authentic.
Overall the tool is just neatly designed and provides a superior user experience.
The team at Condens is very quick in introducing improvements but always keeps product quality and usability high. The tool is very easy to learn and everyone gets it after just a few minutes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There’s nothing we dislike really. A nice feature would be the ability to create personas or user journeys directly in Condens. Maybe that’s something they will add in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Condens has so far been the best tool I have used to organise and analyse my research, I have used it for 2-3 projects and all of them I got exactly what I expected from condens,
The tool seamlessly allows me to import my recordings or notes and also transcribes it for me, thats a huge one because I dont have to spend time transcribing a recording or a video to start analysing it and marking it.
The tags feature works very intuitively when it comes to the analysis and synthesis phase of research.
Another interesting feature that really works great is the split screen feature where i can seamlessly interact with my artifacts, findings or notes while going through my main research sessions or notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Condens is acloud based platform and some times its a worry abotu how my data is being handled, its would be great to know that none of the data being uploaded is accessed by third parties. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Condens is intuitive, fast and easy to use. We had been looking for the right qualitative tool for a while, and nothing was checking all the boxes. We tried Condens and kept getting pleasantly surprised on the first project we went through. The taggins system makes codification simple and enjoyable but being able to quickly pull clips from video interviews has probably saved us the most time, where we used to use complex editing tools to find the right clip. Also, being able to search all interviews easily has been a dream in finding specific insights and recurring themes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be great if there were US-based servers, it's an odd request but some of our clients require that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Condens is by far the most competent all-in-one transcriptions and annotation tool for research, that I've found so far.
The transcription service alone is worth the subscription cost -- it automatically detects different speakers, and the ability to live edit the transcript while listening (and it highlighting the words being said live) are killer features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have two wishes for features in Condens, both have to do with flexibility.
The first is that I think project management is a little unwieldy for research products. I would love to have slightly more granular control over what a project is, who is participating as researchers and who the participants are.
Next, I would prefer a few more simple options for data collection. I appreciate the collaboration features, but something I would just like to put everything in a spreadsheet and automatically count how many times a word was mentioned (this feature might exist, but I haven't found it). I use Condens almost every day. I like the fact that we can create tags so the user research repository brings value to the whole organisation. A PO, a fellow researcher or anybody can search through past and ongoing research.
It allows for atomic research; a very efficient way of analysing user research: importing the Teams video after each session, reveiwing the transcript, creating highlights, grouping highlights from the various sessions to create findings, and then very quickly creating a report by drag and dropping the findings, et voilà :)
Condens make it also easier to share insights with my team. My PO or anybody with access to a project can add comments, which makes it very collaborative when drafting the project guide or the report. I also like to share findings in the form of video extracts just after the session to my core team via Teams. Very impactful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I still need to get acquaintened to some templates like the user journey map which does not fit perfectly my need and takes a lot of clicks to be adjusted.
Also adding new users from outside my researcher team can be a husle. But Condens Customer Support is always very reactive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The features are very helpful and easy to use, the performance of the software is very good. We use the software every day. What was most important for us: they are GDPR compliant and host their servers in the EU which only very few tools offer. In addition, export of a lot of data is possible. We discovered an issue and this problem was handled very fast. Furthermore, if there are any (feature) requests, you can always reach Condens via email and they take customer requests very seriously. No real downsides, there are some features we are waiting for but they are already in development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how organized Condens is, it really helps me to be organized myself. And besides that, the transcript function works incredibly good and saves me lots of time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue I had was sometimes during a transcrip it was a bit harder to add another speaker because it wouldn't always automatically select the right speaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Transcripts of videos, with automatic bookmarks, the way you can higlight pieces of text, add tags and then use those highlights to build your report is so much easier with Condens than before. I also really like the charts feature, which allows me to filter and easily see common themes etc. I also like that you can anonomize and share your report throughout the org. I like all of it really. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
You put more time in tagging the raw data, but it's a win in the end when building the report. Dutch transcripts could be a bit better, often have to correct quite a bit, also in the punctuation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The transcription is very accurate in English and in Italian!
I love the highlights feature, with a little organization it makes your analysis super easy and helps creating clips and powerful video insights Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think the usability of the highlights feature can be a little smoother - for example creating folders or categorize hightlights for each study / project
Not a fan of the home screen, can be more user friendly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
