"Rapid development of a configurable product checkout"

What do you like best about commercetools?

This product provides the core toolset required for a digital commerce site so you don't have to build the basics. At the same time, there are very clean ways to extend and customize it. We were able to quickly build a product configuration and checkout flow for one of our clients. The speed of development and ability for business users to manage it blew them away. What do you dislike about commercetools?

There were some limits on how many prices you can have for a given item, but I think you can request an increase. As a SaaS platform, it makes sense that you can't allow unlimited data without eventually running into a noisy neighbor problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The ultimate extendable ecommerce platform"

What do you like best about commercetools?

As a headless ecommerce platform, it offers the ultimate flexibility to meet business requirements. In some cases we use only parts of the API, in other cases it supports an entire ecommerce site. We've integrated commercetools with a custom androids app, a MS PowerApps, and B2B site (C# and .net core) and a B2C site (vue.js). I also like their support and documentation. What do you dislike about commercetools?

It's definitely not a turnkey ecommerce platform. Since it's headless it requires a separate front end. They do have some starter templates and we've used Vue Storefront as a starting point to further customize. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The MACH ( microservices, API based, Cloud ready, headless commerce) provides greater flexibility in designing and implementing custom solutions. It helps in building omnichannel experience using the API first approach. It gives flexibility in developing and deploying new features. The scalability of the platfom to effortlessly handle peak volumes. Recommendations to others considering commercetools:

Implementing a SaaS eCommerce system requires a knowledge of cloud architecture to fully take advantage of all the feature. The big advantage, no version upgrades, does add layer of continuous testing and or monitoring to ensure platform changes do not effect custom code, extensions, or the microservices integrations to up and downstream applications.
