What do you like best about CLO 3D Fashion?

Clo3D is very intuitive software to use for 3D garment design. The interace feels familar like other design programs and the tools are straight forward and easy to understand. Clo3D produces some of the most realistic renders out there. Clo3D also is easier to use with other 3D software, where you need to import custom avatars or export the garment to complete in third party software.

The new addtion of easier import of Daz 3D avatars is a huge plus. I can now easily import a custom Daz avatar and have the hair and shoe seperate so they can be used interchangably with other daz avatars. Some improvements are needed but it's going in the right direction.

As a company Clo listens to the users. When we have technical issues or features requests, they respond quite quickly. Often the features we request will be in the next big update, if there is enough interest. The recent updates with AI studio has been a big improvement. Instead of swaping the avatar face, just the final image replaces the avatar with a human.

With Clo3D there is a freedom in designing. While having a background or knowledge in pattern making and garment construction produces the best results, you can use the software and produce convincing garments without such experience and with some practice.

Since Clo3D is very accessible to anyone, from large companies to indivdual freelancers, there is a wealth of tutorials available on the internet. This makes it easy to find instructions for any technique or garment type.

One of the best things about Clo3D is that the license structure is more transparent than any other out there. The pricing for students and indivdual freelancers is a reasonable price and stated clearly on the website. As a subsriber you have full control on managing your account, payment method. You can do a monthly or yearly subscription and you can cancel or re-subscribe anytime on your own. Larger companies need to inquire for pricing, but this is expected. What do you dislike about CLO 3D Fashion?

Simulation in Clo3D is faster than others but it could be improved. Once you have lowered particle distance and have many layers, complex fabric physics and fitting simulation it slows down greatly.

I also wish it was a bit easier to convert custom avatars into Clo avatars. There is a tool today but these converted avatars get their shape changed if you want to keep size editing and no version of a converted avatar is compatible with Clo avatar shoes, hair and other smart accessories. This limits how these converted avatars can be rendered and usually they are only useful for fitting and then exporting the garment into other software for rendering.

Though it is easier to import Daz avatars into Clo, there are still some issues with the shoes. If you changed the avatars pose the shoes become distrorted and this is also the case if you import the avatar and make it size editable.

The new AI studi for final renders is an improvement but still needs some work. It needs more training with darker skintones and to make weird changes with the hair styles. The AI seems to get confused between the avatars hair and hte reference photo's hair style and tries to unsuccessfully blend the two.

Another feature we are missing is AI enhancement to the garment. Style3D iWish does this to add more realism to the garment but adding more random wrinkles and small imperfections you would find in rea life. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is CLO 3D Fashion solving and how is that benefiting you?

Clo3D provides a 3D clothing software for a good price to individuals. All of the other 3D clothing software out there only focus on enterprise licensing and do not have transparent pricing. This allows someone like me to be able to freelance in this industry. Clo3D also solves the problem of over sampling. Many companies are on boarding Clo3D to use for design ideation, checking fit, recoloring repete styles and more. With the AI tools that have become available, the renders can be made to look photorealistic and used instead of photography. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
