What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

I like that C&P directly integrates into Salesforce. I like that their forms include everything we need them to include. I am not using C&P in my new role, but I have been searching for this type of service at my new job. I cannot find another group that offers what C&P offers without it costing a lot more. I will admit that it is "clunky" and a bit hard to learn, but once you get it, it's not so hard. I like their C&P Support Group in Trailblazer where you can get live help at 3:30 pm M - T on Zoom. That was helpful to me. I like that Events are included in the monthly cost. Do I think C&P is perfect? No, but for the price, it's definitely worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

From what I can tell (and this might have changed), the forms don't have the pop-out boxes that you can fill as you go. I think some of the "behind the scenes" stuff is hard to easily understand...but it can usually be figured out. The Event sign-up pages could be a little bit better, but once again, for the cost of C&P, they're great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

Affordable credit card processor; integrates into Salesforce; allows many donation pages; has Event management (not Auction items - that I know of); has almost daily support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

Their new Salesforce Click & Pay is amazing! It integrates natively with Salesforce so all our donor data lives in one place and we love the event management tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

Nothing yet - great support and onboarding! The only downside is the learning curve, but that's expected with a more robust product... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

Event Management, fundraising, peer-to-peer, engagement and automations, since it's native to Salesforce we no longer have to use API apps to connect data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

It's cheap

i'm honestly just writing more to get to the minimum word count because I literally cannot think of anything else Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

- Forms are ugly and customization is limited, fundraising pages have almost no customization

- Confusing to use & terrible documentation

- Support takes weeks to answer basic questions

- Sync to Salesforce is very limited and hard to set up, sometimes just doesn't work at all and creates tons of Temporary Contacts instead of syncing to existing contacts Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

Integration with Salesforce. I got it to work after a lot of trial and error, but it was very difficult and still unreliable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

Very little, honestly. The best features I'd argue is either the holding tank or the ability to store credit card information securely and then access later with future transactions. However, both of these features have HUGE issues. The holding tank (temporary contacts) forces you to either send the most boring, generic email receipt instantly OR your donors are waiting for their receipt until a user goes into your CRM and merges the temporary contact, which leads to confusion for donors, unsure if their gift went through. Also, the stored CC feature works great for one-time situation but can be flagged as fraudulent when doing recurring transactions so not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

Support, installation, and integrations are all very weak. When starting, we used Premier Support and every ticket or issue posted took forever to get help with and is expensive. They also helped import our recurring tokens when we transitioned from eTapestry to Salesforce, but did so incorrectly, which cost us dozens of our ~250 monthly donors. We used support to help understand the number of donors that were impacted by the issue and how we can get their giving back on track. Support's response was unhelpful, slow, and they didn't take ownership of their mistake. Also, you should use their standard donate forms for best integration and functionality but their forms are awful. If you use your own custom donate forms and expect to continue doing so, expect a painful and confusing integration process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

Processing credit card transactions. The only benefit has been their ultra-high fraud setting (which is a pro and con, as it has avoided almost all fraud attack attempts on our donation forms but also slows down real donors from giving online). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

The Salesforce sync remains one of the best out of all the donation processors that are affordable for most nonprofits. It allows you to pass mapped data to account, contact, opportunity, and custom questions based on SKUs (which can be unique per page, donation amount, question, etc). The recurring gift model is solid in Salesforce and you can do a decent amount of recurring gift management without ever leaving Salesforce. There are *great* features for reposting and troubleshooting if something breaks along the way from C&P to Salesforce.

The new Connect form builder is easy to use, offers decent customization features for most users' needs. If it isn't enough, a FaaS API gives developers the ability to create fancier forms. There are also integrations for Gravity Forms, Form Assembly, WooCommerce, Auctions for Salesforce, CiviCRM, and more. I haven't used enough of the crowdsource features to comment.

It has a basic virtual terminal and bulk upload features (I look forward to improvements here, but it's ok out of the box).

Support is usually responsive and helpful via several platforms (Power of Us Hub and C&P forums) and they are constantly developing new features. They have built out several things I've requested over the years, especially to improve recurring gift management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

It suffers a bit from having been around a long time with a lot of development. It's architecture, especially in Salesforce, is sprawling and it can take a while to learn it. They are working to improve documentation, but it's not always easy to find what you need. Newbies are often a bit frustrated getting up to speed. The autoresponder setup in Salesforce suffers from this problem especially and the Connect receipting isn't quite ready for all my clients have needed it to do, but it is improving!

The ability to change the recurring amount or related Salesforce campaign without cancelling and restarting a subscription would be a massive improvement for how most nonprofits manage recurring donor programs. Of the 10 or so setups I have done in C&P, this is always a wish!

The newer Connect interface looks and operates *much* nicer than the portal but often is a bit clunky for doing a lot of data work (You can't click back in most windows, update a bunch of transactions at once, etc). If you can do most of it in Salesforce, you will be better off.

Several clients have had less than stellar response rates from Sales (getting accounts set up, quotes for importing recurring gifts, etc), which is surprising given how responsive the tech support can be.

Finally, I rarely use C&P Events in Salesforce because the setup and learning curve is really large for nonprofits. It suffers from being too powerful for most of them. Staff can't easily setup events without admin help and it isn't easy to customize the experience for things like free events or addon donations. It is pretty powerful though, just more than our clients have needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Click & Pledge:

Take full advantage of their webinars and office hours to get help and get up to speed. Work with a Partner to avoid monthly fees (transaction fees still apply). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

All of my clients use it for most of their donation processing, online and offline. Small nonprofits are able to affordably collect donations online for the first time and larger nonprofits are getting good Salesforce integration.

(We are a partner, but the partner program only offers discounts to our customers, no kickbacks to us.) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

From what I have experienced thus far, there is a lot of functionality that is flexible with Click and Pledge. It also talks to our Salesforce instance which is very helpful and finally streamlining our processes. I believe there is a way to do events on there, but I have not found out how to use it yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

There seems to be a heavy learning curve, as several of the features are not very user friendly. Something as simple as pressing the "back" button will make you start completely over when going through a list of transactions. Also, while this donation management, we use it for tickets for events. Often I have to alter much of the language so it is more of a "purchase" rather than a donation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Click & Pledge:

Find resources that will help you understand how to best leverage the product. Going through it on my own has proven to be challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

Getting all of our payments on one platform, and then integrating those payment records with our Salesforce instance. While it does create a duplicate record in our Salesforce instance for their donation, it is helpful to see what level of giving has been done by a volunteer to our organization. What do you like best about Click & Pledge?

Sophisticated integration with Salesforce; automated communications; significant flexibility in designating and processing gifts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

Creating donation pages is done through VisualForce pages and requires an expert to set up. It also means that every time you need to make a change to a C&P donation page, you're going to need help unless you know at least basic coding.

The online interface is poorly designed and often slow.

The "Swiper1" mobile transaction processor, like C&P in general, is powerful, but complicated and slow. We had to stop using it because it was too slow to keep up with traffic and fundraising events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Click & Pledge solving and how is that benefiting you?

C&P was our main credit card donation processor for years. We still use it, but in a more limited way, because of the reasons listed above. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Click & Pledge?

Click and Pledge has some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Whenever we had a problem with anything it was nearly impossible to get a response. We were at one point working with Click and pledge for months trying to solve a problem related to recurring donations and eventually we were told that they knew there was no solution to the problem - but it took ages for us to get a straight answer.
