The great thing about this particular app was the ability to connect with/message the parents quickly through text in the app! Also, parents were able to view when their student was rewarded or reprimanded for their behavior using a point system within the app. When students did well in class, the teacher could choose what they were being rewarded for and when students needed redirection, the reason was indicated and points were taken accordingly. In addition, you could display student points on the projector so the students could see and even hear when they received points or heard of points being taken away. It made rewarding and giving consequences very interactive! I genuinely believe that this app helped my students perform better in class! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only issue that I had with using Class Dojo was that the school district eventually told staff that we could no longer use it since it was not district-approved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like ClassDojo because it is a great way for parents, teachers, and school staff to communicate easily and parents can see how my child is doing through the school day. The reward/point system is especially motivating for so many students because it encourages positive behavior and they know they get rewards for more points. I also love the ability to see updates, photos, and videos from teacher to parents, which helps parents feel like they are not missing anything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that you have to pay to see read receipts. Sometimes it's helpful to know when a teacher or parent has read something to make sure they didn't miss a message. I also don't like how sometimes it doesn't notify me of a new message. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that you can reach teachers at almost anytime. Staying informed on my child's schooling is very important. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing that could be fixed is the customer service on technical issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love many things about Class Dojo, but what I like best is the customizability it offers to those on all levels of its platform, whether you're the teacher, child, or guardian. Everyone is able to custom fit their experience to what they seek to get out of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is truly difficult to think of any negative feedback for the platform. I would like to see more monsters added, but only because I think they're adorable and the minds behind Class Dojo have spectacular creativity! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ClassDojo is a very powerfull classroom management platform that allows teachers, students and parents to communicate, share information and track progress in a very easy and attractive interface. Its very easy to integrate with Google Classroom. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no complaints about classdojo features or any other aspect Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ClassDojo is most helpful for communication with parents! It is like a Facebook for the classroom. I can post messages and pictures for everyone to see or send individual parent messages. The other tools on ClassDojo are also quite helpful. I use the group maker often because the students can see that the groups are "fair" due to their being chosen randomly. The points tracker is a fantastic behavior management tool. We do not use it as much in 5th grade, but when I taught 1st grade, the students worked hard to receive points. There is also an option to take away points. However, I do not use that feature. Lastly, parents can access a behavior report based on the issues you give and take away. One thing I do not like about ClassDojo is that parents can not post on the main feed. It would be beneficial if I could give my room parents privileges to post information about parties and events because they do a lot of planning and organizing for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that I can message my daughters teacher any time dirtying the school day and get a response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The pay to use feature. It should all be accessible if schools are using it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It allows me to track student behavior througout the day, and keep parents updated as our day is happening! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have no complaints with ClassDojo at this time! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ClassDojo was a great way for teachers to monitor behavior and for students to track their behavior over the course of the day. It also allowed parents to see how their children were doing and to connect with teachers if they had questions. It also had other tools like a randomizer and group maker that I used for lessons. I don't remember many downsides, to be honest. I *think* it had a message translator, but I don't remember. (We last used ClassDojo three years ago, and we've had some things happen since then) ;) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Classdojo makes it easy to provide access to parents and students to your classroom. Reaching out to them is easy as all messages go to their phones and it also allows parents to see how their children are doing behaviorally and academically. That accountability piece is important in making sure students stay engaged. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish there were a way to link Classdojo to my grading tool. This way, parents can be updated on how their children are doing.
Also, I wish there was a feature that allowed us to video conference through Classdojo. This would be great for parent/teacher nights, and Zoom isn't always reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
