I love how easy it is to organize information and improve the quality of our digital data, regardless of how well internal teams tag their campaigns. The ability to fix meta information after the fact is invaluable. I also love that the company is so open to feedback and getting suggestions on the roadmap. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have nothing I dislike about the tool or my experience working with the company. I continue to be grateful that my organization continues to provide the funding my team needs to have this tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Claravine is offers flexibility to manage marketing metadata all in one spot and inigrates easily with our marketing tech stack. The claravine team is very knowlegable and was able to help set us up very quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Overall we are very pleased with Claravine. There are a few minor feature requests our team has around searching for submissions. But so far its done everything we have asked of it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We use Claravine to create custom templates for campaign and content data standards. This saves our team a lot of time - and the fact that we can allow our marketing partners to "self-service" once we create the templates, is a real time-saver. The ability to track, view and edit submissions is also a real plus. Our marketing partners really like the abilith to measure compliance and enable audits, which used to take a lot longer to complete. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team has found the interface that helps us control metadata access by team and system, to be a bit clunky. And customer support has been "hit-or-miss." Some technical and sales turnover has also created a few support gaps but things have been improving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Claravine has allowed our company to manage taxonomy at scale across the globe. There are many tools out there to monitor and validate metadata but governing the implementation across different regions and systems was a challenge we struggled with for years.
It's an easy to use, intuitive interface with a lot of flexibility built in to allow for unique use cases. Implementation and administration is so easy and customer support is among the best I've ever experienced. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some limitations on out of the box integrations. The development work necessary on the client side to take advantage of manual data integration with S3 or Azure Blob, etc. is still a roadblock for our company to be able to take full advantage of the capabilities. If there were more integrations built out in a plug-and-play fashion on the Claravine side, the value add would be exponential.
I also wish I could interact with the full database using SQL and export the data a little more readily as well. Currently the ability to export your data is very tedious and disjointed, as it is template-based rather than account- or target-based. I have to rely on exports from the targets themselves to get an aggregate view easily, which also presents some challenges for monitoring. If I wanted to set up alerts to know where the data in the target had a mismatch on the data that was sent to the target from Claravine, this would be pretty difficult to maintain in its current state. Claravine was very easy to use and flexible enough to meet unique needs across our marketing tactics. It has provided a dependable platform for meta data continuity and tracking consistency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Aside from occasional bugs that have been quickly resolved, I have seen no downside over our old manual spreadsheet driven process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The flexibility and endless possibilities you can use claravine for. not only is it great to create UTMs but it allows us to use the platform to align on campaign name nomenclature for Paid and organic campaigns. This tool is so much more than just a UTM builder Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
some capabilities of the platform are still limited to certain formatting of the templates but overall the platform is always improving on these limitations Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Claravine enables us to have cohesive and valuable data on tracking links across hundreds of campaigns. The platform enforces our data taxonomies and naming conventions, so that we can look at performance across all channels and devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Until recently, Claravine was unable to do bulk uploading of tracking links. However, this is now a feature that Claravine offers! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The capabilities of the platform are very impressive, and the integration points make this very useful. Overall the tool can be managed by a savvy but not very technical business user. Once your organization gets their heads around the true value of metadata for driving reporting, analysis, segmentation, personalization...essentially everything, the more powerful the tool becomes.
Claravine is a very high touch organization and in general are both really capable on resolving problems and providing solutions to extend the product. They also have a large amount of organizational knowledge on how to approach the big, ugly, problems that surround metadata in large complex organizations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The cost is a bit high, but that is because it is almost a bit of an agency model vs. just a pure tech platform. Since the problems they solve are different, and complex, for each [larger] organization, the cost is justified, but be aware. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
