I love the data governance that Claravine provides. Like most companies, we started out with our UTM generation in a spreadsheet that was shared across subject matter experts, agencies, and anyone else creating UTM links. Because we had so many "cooks in the kitchen," users would often go rogue in what they inputted into different fields. Since even a simple capitalization difference, like "facebook" vs "Facebook" can create two different records in your source/medium reports in GA, we needed to find a different solution. Claravine helped to resolve that problem and so much more. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The user interface isn't very Google Analytics friendly. The tool was mainly built for Adobe users and although we've been able to use it just fine, we wish the verbiage on the UI was a little more intuitive and applicable to the way we use it. Along those lines, we also wish there was just a tad bit more GA integration, maybe pulling in GTM authorization. Despite that, we still absolutely love the tool. I like how easy it is to build a template and to test everything out. It is pretty intuitive and user friendly. Stakeholders very rarely have questions on how to use the tool. ALso, I like working with Roger Kirkman, our technical account representative - he is knowledgeable, helpful and responsive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I would like our account to have more active users under the existing contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's customisable. It's easy to find what you're looking for in previous submissions. Multiple parts of the process help guide the user on what information is needed in their submission. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Claravine is often very slow to load, and is prone to bugs. One of the main reasons a client uses Claravine was to ensure that randomly generated codes were unique, however a bug meant that duplicate codes were being produced. Because of this, we need to QA all submissions from Claravine, and it feels like we can't necessarily trust the output. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Claravine provides us with the flexibility to set channel/platform specific taxonomy along with the much needed granularity and metadata governance.
Leveraging the OOB integrations that Claravine provides us with, we are also able to integrate with Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics and ensure data quality for reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Up until recently, we were not able to bulk-upload entries to Claravine. But this feature was provided in the latest release. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

GA integration is a bit limited and as a large company with multiple domains we can't take full advantage of all link validations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The ability to customize the tool to your needs is unrivaled, along with their current integrations with marketing technology and tools. As custom use cases have arisen, the Claravine team has also leaned in, partnering with clients on solutions and using that input develop their capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
From a usability standpoint, the platform introduces an additional step to an already complicated publishing process. This adds additional steps for stakeholders and to establish more custom logic (in order to streamline this process) requires hands-on involvement from the client. The biggest area of opportunity for the Claravine team is merging the worlds of UX and governance/taxonomy so that using the tool is not as time intensive as it currently is. This could involve simplifying the steps needed to implement custom logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since onboarding Claravine into Rogers, the process has been very agile and smooth. Any changes and adjustments that need to be made to fit Rogers needs were automatically addressed and we kept improving best practices. This is what I love about Claravine the ability to adapt to client needs, the ability provide value added advice to improve organizational behaviour. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There isn't much downsides to using Claravine within your digital marketing ecosystem, one downside could be the vast technologies and/or marketing tools used within the Claravine platform that is not necessary understood by the organization and how it can be ultimately utilized correctly. It makes it easy for us to standardize values across teams. Our tracking codes were a hodgepodge and often had errors that caused reporting issues downstream in Adobe Analytics. Our reporting capabilities and URL cleanlieness have improved significantly! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the interface can be a bit buggy. Most of the problems we face with Claravine are more to do with internal politics than the tool itself. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Claravine tool is very user friendly and easy to integrate with the Adobe platform. Personally, I love that we can customize each template that we create in order to meet the users needs. Additionally, the validating process is a huge reassurance to the analytics side of the house because we can ensure that campaigns are properly tagged and will make it into Adobe without user error. Additionally, the new features (like the bulk upload) are only helping the usability of the platform. We are starting to use Claravine more by onboarding more internal teams onto the platform with all of the new enhancements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Creating templates can be a little troubling at times as there are so many steps and places we have to check and set up in order for the template to work as expected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
