Top Rated Church Community Builder Alternatives
Very User Friendly. The system is intuitive.
The check in system .
Everything you need in one place.
It is web based so it can be accented anywhere/anytime.
Inside of scheduling, I do like that volunteers can log in and block out their own dates. It helps us keep all 200 of the volunteers we oversee (just in children's ministry) straight and connected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like that the scheduling cannot be changed without totally removing a person. I just want to drag and drop people from different positions.
I would love to see an app developed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It was easy to use for the functions needed at the time we used this. We didn't use every feature, but there are many. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It did not integrate well with some of the other software being used. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

CCB's Advanced and Saved Search Functions make it easy for church administrators to track demographic data for their congregations.
For example, if members have filled out their profiles, you can run and save searches filtering them by age range, location (zip code), gender, marital status, and more. This simplifies targeted outreach (whether by email or snail mail), since you can export these contacts to CSV/Excel, pull them into a mail merge within CCB, or print their addresses onto standard mailing labels. CCB needs improvement with automation and integration. Everything is manual: you cannot set up recurring emails or schedule mail merges within the software. CCB has integration options with other services (i.e., MailChimp), but the integrations can be finicky to configure and don't always sync smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
CCB is a great tool. So many features. The LEAD app is super helpful for me to empower my youth volunteer team in doing the work of the ministry. CCB also has some great integrations with other platforms to take it even further. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are times were the UI feels a bit dated or clunky. Thats the only complaint that i would have. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use for sure! We use CCB as our database for volunteer tracking, reports, scheduling, calendaring and all events, childrens check in, event and class check in, financial ... you name it, it does it and we use it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Honey we've been using it for a long time now and while we find quirks here and there, we always can find a work around or make suggestions and it gets improved to do what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love its easy-to-use software and integration with giving. It truly helps a church staff connect with members and is versatile enough to meet almost any church's needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is pricy and the integrated giving company costs a lot as well. We recently shifted to securegive which is saving the church 1000s of dollars in tithe and offerings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Church Community Builder is a very user-friendly platform for church database management. We had a relatively easy time getting our old information migrated over to CCB and implementation coaching was great. I definitely recommend that extra expense to learn how to best use the platform. Because the system is so intuitive, our staff has been able to use the software with minimal hand-holding. At first, the integration with Pushpay was great - though it has been more problematic lately. Some of the changes that have been made to the platform recently have improved the user experience, like updated people search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer support is awful. It wasn't that bad when we first got started on CCB and while we had implementation coaching, we were able to get all of our questions answered. However, once we were finished with that, we've been floating without much support. I've asked multiple times to upgrade to Premier Support but have had trouble getting my emails answered. Why does it take so long to get an answer to my questions when I'm asking to give them more money!? If you want any kind of customer support, you'll want to buy the Premier Support package. I love that Church Community Builder helps me as a pastor connect with the people in our church. It provides me with contact information and an easy way to get in touch quickly. I also love the accompanying app that is part of Church Community Builder - the Lead App. It is incredbily helpful! Lastly, I greatly appreciate the security features - not just anyone is able to access our church members' data, which is quite comforting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using Church Community Builder for several months now and I can honestly say that, as of right now, there is NOTHING that I particularly dislike about this prodcut! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
CCB is a comprehensive church management system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer service has gone drastically downhill since Pushpay took it over, as has all of the updates. I used to get a 24 hour response to a question, and it is now taking weeks to get a response--and when there is one it is clear they haven't fully read and understood the question. At one point during an urgent need at vbs, I never did get a response.
It is a dinosaur of a system--like we're trying to operate in DOS and make it look like Windows. When they do updates, they often remove functionality. Latest updates are done without advance notice. They used to have webinars to discuss updates, but those have stopped since Pushpay took over.
Help articles seldom have the information I'm looking for, as they only cover the very basic, top-level issues.
We have to purchase add-on api's to text, send stylish mail merges (via Mailchimp), and integrate to our web calendar. Mail merges only handle very basic style functions.
Two-way texting is not an option--only "twexting" via a twitter account (so anything you send out is going to show up on your twitter account).
The app is very expensive, only a template system, and customer service on it is horrible.
I would not recommend CCB to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the many features and how it 'connects' with other programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer Service is extremely slow and hard to connect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
