As a subscription business, we are always looking to improve our retention metrics, like cancel rate and pause rate. We were able to create pages with chargebee retention to lower those rates, and we're constantly testing and iterating on them. Their support team is pretty good, and the analytics platform is helpful. We've also had some helpful meetings with customer representatives to help us strategize, which is cool. The interface for creating offers isn't my favorite. Sometimes it can be trick to copy them or organize them for specific tests. But if you keep it simple, it's manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love that clients can easily modify their subscriptions at renewal as opposed to reaching out to support. It creates a better user experience and allows them immediate offers to keep them. Often, by the time a client emails us for cancellation, we have already lost them and they do not respond, even if we were to offer a discount. Relatively easy to install and get set up being an out-the-box solution rather than building something in-house.
User-friendly to configure without having a technical coding background.

Find the flow of information between Chargebee Billing and Chargebee Revenue a little limited considering the two products are purchased from the same company.
Very limited amount of different landing pages/segmentation that can be done unless a much higher subscription is purchased which our volume of revenue doesn't justify (essentaily the pricing structure isn't great for us).
I don't particularly like the reporting, tend to take exports and do outside of the system.

The ability to quickly and easily set up different scenarios to target different cohorts just can't be beat. We also had a really great implementation specialist, Kyle, who was with us every step of the way and was quick to point out ways to better our strategy within Retention to get the data we need. Some of the reporting is a bit difficult to drill into - in one screen you can only go 1 layer deep, but running the same report from a different screen gets you multiple layers to drill into. So the data is there, Chargebee just needs to provide access throughout the different presentations...which I'm sure is probably already on their roadmap! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
