Celtx is super fun and easy to use! A lot can be done on this very efficient software. One can write scripts for films, television, music videos, or even short format scripts. It comes packed with ready-to-use templates for all sorts of writing projects - film, theatre, audio-visual, audio play, comic books, and novels. It is also great for storyboarding. When writing, it offers a great advantage by automatically identifying whether it is an action, a dialogue, a parenthetical, or anything else. It really makes writing scripts fun and organized. I love everything about the software. Although I still have a functional desktop version with myself, I think they have transferred everything online now. While that is better for a lot of reasons, I personally prefer the desktop version, and I'm not sure if it is still easily available online. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Celtx is arguably the best *free* choice for screenwriting and project management. It formats scripts intuitively and allows you to use the index cards and storyboard features for free as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simply put: the paywall. All the best features, like offline use, are blocked beyond the expensive paywall that forces you to pay annually for a whole bunch of other features you don't actually need. Have more than 3 scripts you'd like to work on? Paywall. It's an annoying hindrance to really making use of the platform even as a beginner. Also, the free apps you can download for iOS suck, there's a separate one for each section of a project (Script, Index Cards, Storyboard) and they all glitch, constantly. Celtx is a great and consistent screenwriting software. Even the shift to the online-based Celtx from the previous hard drive program isn't too different. Users can easily save their scripts in progress and share and save them to their computer. The yearly membership prices aren't too expensive and they vary based on the user needs. The specificities of having to save files as .celtx files can be a bit annoying, and the interface can occasionally be clunky. The free trial can be a bit short, and only gives a limited scope of all of the Celtx capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It’s best for the first-timers. That's how it helped me. There is a lot of learning. It covers the standard format,
e.g.:
1. Character Names
2. Scene Headings
3. Action Lines
4. Dialog
5. Transitions (Wherever required)
It saves the time of the screenwriter as well as the reviewer. It gives you a smooth flow when you’re writing.
Few features like,
1. Watermark
2. Highlighting words
3. Story to Screenplay and Storyboard
4. Share options,

I think, when you writing on celtx you feel like you are flying with your word. Feel like very smooth and best thing is when you stop writing celtx save your words automatically. Highlights words, story to Screenplay, props list, storyboard, convert into PDF format, add your comments, share with your friends, add your name and also watamark, lots of things I love. I'm using Celtx last two years and still I love this and I recommend to my friends they are using Celtx and they are so happy. So thanks celtx for your support.
