Casemap is a great preparation tool. It is highly digital and efficient if used as such, and manages data for litigation. It visualizes the chronology of cases, depositions, sanctions, and helps as a visual tool. It helps seamlessly organize all the pieces into a clean set up so you don’t always have to comb for a piece used in litigation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This is a highly digital piece and not all people are accustomed to using it. As a student, this has given mixed results, though having used it in a work setting, it can be a great tool if everyone is on board with it. So much of litigation preparation comes down to preference - so if everyone is on the same page, this is a great tool for educational and actual litigation purposes. You can manage your cases easier and have all information in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes it can be hard to organize files. It would be more useful if it intergrated with other software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The UI looks a lot like Outlook and it makes navigation through the system very easy. Once you are able to get the Linked fields setup you can see real time information about facts, users, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of features and the necessary steps in order to load data or do custom manipulation. The fact that there is no web version and this needs to sit on a server with access to a share that everyone has permission to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Casemap is great. It makes any legal issue easied to understand and "map" out. Lexis has really improved this program since I first used it as a law student in 2009. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like some of the clunkiness of the product. It isn't as nimble as other programs, but that's because of the breadth of information it incorporates I assume. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very advanced tool for organizing your data. Create issues and match with production documents. Keep track of who is who; experts, custodians, defendants, plaintiff, court officers, etc... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not very user intuitive. System has many different options for adding and organizing your case. unfortunatley because there are so many options the tool becomes great for expert users but creates a headache for others attempting to help out with a matter. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It can be difficult to get used to the product's features and learning what features are available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I appreciate that the back-end of CaseMap is Access which makes it easily customizable for different types of cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Adobe Acrobat is the only pdf editor that works with the bulk actions in CaseMap. Many firms use Nuance's PDF Pro Office as their pdf editor because of price and ease of installation across a network of user's. We have to spend a considerable amount of money to upgrade user's machines to Acrobat Pro in order to use CaseMap. Very irritating to our user's and our finance committee. The ability to retain facts and timelines easily, and link to relevant documents Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The biggest problem I had was getting the attorneys to get on board with the product. There was a lot of information there (that took a long time to input), but they didn't want to take the time to become familiar enough with it to make use of it. I eventually quit using it because the attorneys weren't using it, and it wasn't cost effective for only me to use it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use in loading, limited training is necessary and suitable for cases without intensive document review that need shared accessibility for all users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its not as much of a database format similar to tools like Relativity, Cicayda, Concordance Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Casemap allows you to make a timeline or chart that is particularly helpful when wanted to tell a story with visual aids. Great for using during opening statements and closing arguments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I was not able to customize the size of the blocks as easily as I would have preferred. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
