I do like the ability to have your own Default Screen look the same when you login. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
E-mail does not have options like Outlook. If you are going to connect Caret Legal to Outlook you should at least give the user an option as to how you want your outlook to run. We all use Outlook and the e-mail option in Caret is terrible. There are other items but I do keep an ongoing list. Perhaps, I should start doing that. However, there are a lot of billing options I do not like and some cannot be changed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Timers are very helpful. The time tab and calendar summary tool are also very useful. Text messaging feature is convenient (once you get through the set up). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Logging you out of all tabs when your computer restarts requires re-opening or logging in to each matter/tab. Setting up the text messaging feature was difficult for administrators, and the texting notifications are still not quite ironed out here (aka complicated and not user-friendly). The tasks tab could be easier to use and more efficient.
The referral program used to be amazing and is now subpar at best. You won't get exposure if you're only willing to give out more than $100 per demo (hint: a lawyer's time is worth much more than $100/hr, and that is what you're providing for a 1hr demo). It's frankly not worth it anymore and you're only hurting yourselves with this change. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are many aspects of CARET that I have found to be very beneficial. I like the ability to have different folders within a case to organize all of our firm's documents. I like being able to link Outlook email and calendar to CARET. I like the ability to just drag documents into a folder. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I do not like the fact that we can't change the name of an email once it's saved. It would be so nice if we could change the title (ex: Email to Adjuster re: Settlement). Instead, we have to click through each email or search for key words. I also wish we could choose the time for the all-day reminders, instead of having them sent at midnight. Caret has a very intuitive interface that can be learned quickly and efficiently. The entire interface is appealing and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In document templates you have to fool the system if you will on certain things. Caret lacks the ability to define template fields such as making a name or address capital or bold, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It can be integrated into Box. The time keeping aspect is easy & convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Junk/Spam leads, in CRM, have to be deleted individually, and you can't delete the contact card without first deleting each junk/spam lead entry. And again, not able to do mass/bulk deletions. The CRM is just not very good at all compared to other software out there.
Calendar entries are super irritating if you need to correct/update/delete a recurring one. And it's very easy to accidentally move an entry on the calendar just by hovering over it. again, like with the CRM, the calendar's just not the greatest and as easy to use/convenient compared to other software out there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Using APX when it works correctly is nice Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When Making deposits, why do you have to keep typing the same date and type of payment for each check of a deposit Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very straight-forward, moving from screen-to-screen logically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It lacks 'shortcuts,' that is, short acronyms or abbreviations that, when typed, automatically expand to full words or sentences and that make entering the same kind of entry across multiple matters easier and faster. Examples: 'hrg' for 'Hearing,' 'ts' for 'Timesharing,' 'MSA' for "Marital Settlement Agreement," etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Caret Legal casts it's net wide in so much as the program is very comprehensive. This is the best feature as it is an "all in one" platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Customer Service is HORRIBLE! The program is CONSTANTLY glitching causing a lot of down time. You are connected with foreigners who take down information with the promise that someone will call back (which does not happen). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Caret/Zola is very easy and intuitive to use. I like that it integrates my team's calendar, email, and tasks. The timekeeping /billing program also makes it simple to track each attorney's time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The contact management system is a bit disorganized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
