Review Summary

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users consistently praise Canva for its ease of use and massive template library, which allows even non-designers to create professional-quality graphics quickly. The intuitive drag-and-drop interface and variety of options make it a favorite for both personal and professional projects. However, many reviews note that advanced features are often locked behind a paid subscription, limiting customization for more experienced users.

"Canva Makes Polished Content Fast—Easy, All-in-One Visual Suite"
What do you like best about Canva?

Canva makes it easier for any non-design person to create good designs, edits, websites, and banner posters without needing to understand the deeper details of design. I’ve mainly used its website feature since I’m a developer, but it also comes in handy when I need to put together promotional content. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

The main downside is that some of the more advanced brand, AI, and team features are locked behind paid plans, so the free experience can start to feel a bit limited as your needs grow. I’m part of an organisation, so I don’t really run into that issue myself, but for individual users it could become a problem over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Beginner-Friendly Design with Plenty of Templates and Easy Branding"
What do you like best about Canva?

What I love most about Canva is how beginner-friendly it is. As someone who has used Adobe Photoshop for years, I still find Canva great for anyone just getting started with creating graphics and social media templates, especially people who aren’t very tech-savvy. I also like how many templates they offer for free, along with the premium templates available if you’re paying for Canva. Another thing I find really helpful is how easy it is to set up your branding. It makes it simple to use the templates in their library and edit them so they match your brand style. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

I think one downside of using Canva is that you can almost always tell when the template you’re using was made in Canva, if that makes sense. It can feel like it lacks a certain quality or uniqueness. I also dislike how busy the main screen is. I wish there were an option to customize it more to fit how I work, especially since there are so many options, templates, and different ways you can use Canva. "Amazing Free Templates and Effortless Usability"
What do you like best about Canva?

I appreciate the wide range of free templates in Canva for resumes, videos, invitations, and presentations. It's particularly helpful for someone like me who isn't skilled in video editing or design. I love using the latest trend designs available as free templates and the corporate standard resume formats that help me create standout resumes. The interface is smooth and user-friendly, making it accessible even without prior experience. I also find it convenient to easily download creations in high-quality PDF or MP4 formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

As nowadays AI is in so much demand, Canva could add AI features to automate input as per the chosen template, eliminating the need to fill manually. Currently, I need to select text boxes and adjust the page size manually to see properly. Also, for resume creation and spelling correction, I need to use external AI platforms like ChatGPT because Canva lacks these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Canva Speeds Up High-Quality, On-Brand Designs with Easy Templates and Collaboration"
What do you like best about Canva?

What I like most about Canva is how much it speeds up my workflow without sacrificing quality. The drag-and-drop interface makes it simple to create professional-looking designs in minutes, even for more involved projects like social media content and presentations.

The template library is one of the features I rely on most. It gives me a strong starting point and helps me produce content at scale quickly, without having to build everything from scratch each time. The Brand Kit is another major time-saver, keeping fonts, colors, and assets organized so my designs stay consistent and on-brand. Another standout is the built-in AI features (like background removal and AI-generated content), which automate repetitive tasks and speed up the creative process even further.

Collaboration is also a big advantage. Being able to share designs and collect feedback directly within the platform has made approvals faster and the whole process more efficient.

Overall, Canva helps me create high-quality, consistent, on-brand content quickly and with less effort, all with and affordable price. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

What I dislike about Canva is that, while it’s very powerful for quick and scalable design, it can feel limiting for more advanced or highly customized work. Some features lack the level of control you’d get in more professional design tools, especially when it comes to precise layout adjustments or complex editing.

Performance can also occasionally be an issue, larger files or designs with many elements tend to lag, which slows down the workflow.

In terms of integrations, while the basics are covered, some connections with external tools feel a bit limited or not as seamless as they could be.

Lastly, certain useful features (like advanced assets, premium templates, and some AI tools) are locked behind paid plans.

Overall, these aren’t deal-breakers, but they can be frustrating in more demanding or high-volume projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Efficient, But Lacks Bulk Image Features."
What do you like best about Canva?

I use Canva to remove backgrounds and create images in PNG format, which saves me a lot of time. The clean appearance of images I get from Canva is something I really like because it makes the product look clear, professional, and easy to understand. This is particularly important in my work with product listings, as clean images help showcase the products correctly and make them more attractive to customers. The initial setup of Canva was very easy and quick, and I could start right away because it's simple to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

I'm not able to clean bulk images at once. It would be much better if Canva could support bulk image cleaning features, like removing backgrounds or adjusting brightness on multiple images in one go. That kind of bulk editing capability would make the process much faster and more efficient, especially when handling a large volume of product images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, All-in-One Tool for Beautiful PPTs and Content"
What do you like best about Canva?

It helps me easily with my PPTs and documents, and it makes my content more attractive and beautiful without needing any design knowledge. It also provides many features in one place, like editing photos and videos, website design, and creating or improving PPTs. It is very easy to understand and now AI feature provides more better results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

When I create PPTs, it inserts some premium photos that I then have to replace, or I have to download the file without photos. Also, for small details it doesn’t provide the expected results, and sometimes it gives repeated results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Helps us to Turn Ideas into Clear Visuals Without Spending Too Much Time"
What do you like best about Canva?

In my day-to-day work, I usually turn to Canva when I need to create quick visuals, simple presentations, or supporting content for discussions. What I genuinely like is how it lets me focus more on the content rather than worrying about design complexity. For example, when I need to explain a concept or share an idea with my team, I can quickly arrange text, visuals, and layouts in a way that looks clear and presentable without starting from scratch.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that it reduces the effort required to make something look organized. Even if I’m working under time pressure, I can still create materials that are structured and easy to understand. This has been especially useful during internal discussions where visual clarity matters more than detailed design work. Overall, it fits well into my workflow because it saves time while still helping me communicate ideas effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

While Canva works well for most of my regular needs, I have felt that it can be slightly limiting when trying to make very specific adjustments. For example, when I want to fine-tune alignment or maintain exact consistency across multiple pages, it sometimes takes extra effort to get everything perfectly placed. It’s not a major issue, but it becomes noticeable when working on slightly more detailed content.

Also, since it offers many templates and elements, it can take a bit of time initially to choose the right structure instead of directly starting the work. Once familiar, it becomes easier, but for new users, this might feel slightly overwhelming at first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Canva’s AI Workspace Shines—Magic Layers Makes AI Images Truly Editable"
What do you like best about Canva?

This is a massive shift. Canva introduced Canva Sheets, which isn't just a static table. It's a visual spreadsheet where you can use Magic Formulas (AI-assisted data processing) and then instantly turn that data into Magic Charts.

Why it's cool: You can drag a live-updating chart directly into a presentation or a social post. If the data in your sheet changes, the design updates automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

For a tool that now offers AI video and image generation, the output is often surprisingly low-res.

The Issue: AI-generated videos are often capped at 1366 x 768, which isn't high enough for professional 4K workflows.

The Fix: Canva needs to allow for higher-resolution upscaling upon export, especially for their "Magic Media" tools, so the content is actually usable for billboard-sized prints or high-end TV ads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Graphic Design with Professional Results"
What do you like best about Canva?

I love how Canva allows me to create graphics quickly and easily, with a large variety of assets and fonts. The ease of creating graphics and websites is a major plus for me, and the background remover is awesome because it seamlessly removes background on most photos and saves me time from using another program and doing it manually in Photoshop. The initial setup of Canva was very easy, and it was super easy to set up templates and branding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

I wish the website editor allowed me to edit both a mobile and web versions instead of automatically making a mobile version. I wish there were more options for hover effects etc on buttons. It also looks weird when images go to the edge on the screen in design but when converted to web they don't stretch all the way to the edge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Smooth, Cost-Effective Design Tool with Awesome UI/UX and AI Features"
What do you like best about Canva?

Canva is very helpful for creating presentations, posters, and other designs. The UI/UX is super awesome, and it works very well with background remover integrations. Overall, it feels fast, smooth, and reliable to use. The price is very cost-effective compared to others, and the support system is quick and smooth as well. Its AI presentation creation and text generation features are super cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Canva?

While working on a presentation in Canva, it shows a much smaller working area compared with MS PowerPoint, where the page view is wider. Because of this, it sometimes feels difficult to create PPTs in such a small workspace, even though the PPT page size is the same as the MS PowerPoint page size after downloading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
