It is easy to get started with Cake Equity. The platform is intuitive with all the features needed to support an equity program. The best part for me is the support. We began using CAKE in 2022 when our startup needed to bring in its first external fundraising and shareholders. We were looking for a solution to assist with tracking / maintaining a share register and also provide visuals of the cap table, company valuations over time, share prices, etc.. We were thrilled to find that CAKE provided all of it and more. We then watched as the CAKE team continued to build new features which we made use of. We've never needed to reach out to customer support in this time as we have found the portal quite intuitive. We also find that we access CAKE and manage the portfolio at least once per week especially the "communications" module to send shareholder updates.

The platform overall is great, and if we were to comment on negatives they would be mostly in the User Experience/graphical design and not the features themselves.

We find the Dashboard to be quite busy and we dont really use it.

Some of the pages are so busy that the choice of boxes/cards to display info can make the portal look overwhelming at times and requires digging around to find "where" to access certain features such as share transfers, etc.

Over the years there has been some limitations in the platform, such as search functionality and reporting, but Cake are always looking at ways of improving and so much work has gone into the platform to make it super user friendly and all feedback is listened to and actioned whereever possible. It is constantly evolving and improving.
