Top Rated Cacoo - Diagramming & Real-Time Collaboration for G Suite Alternatives
As a software engineering student, I had the opportunity to use Cacoo for creating diagrams, and it proved to be an invaluable tool for my projects. The diagramming features offered by Cacoo were exceptional, allowing me to easily visualize complex software architectures, system designs, and data flows. The extensive library of templates and intuitive interface made it effortless to bring my ideas to life. What truly impressed me was the real-time collaboration functionality, which enabled me to work seamlessly with my peers on group projects. We could simultaneously edit and discuss diagrams, ensuring efficient teamwork even when we were not physically present together. The integration with G Suite made it convenient to store and share our diagrams through Google Drive. The version history feature was particularly useful, allowing us to track changes and revert back if needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There were a few aspects that I found slightly challenging. While the platform offered a free version, I encountered limitations that required a paid subscription for advanced features, which posed a hurdle for students on a tight budget. Additionally, mastering the more intricate features demanded some learning curve and effort, especially for beginners in diagramming software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
2 out of 3 Total Reviews for Cacoo - Diagramming & Real-Time Collaboration for G Suite
At first it took me a bit to understand how each of the options worked, but in a few minutes I managed to understand and I was able to quickly generate workflows.
Although the design options are similar to those of other tools. What I like the most is that in addition to being easy to use, it maintains a clean structure and design in each graph or diagram.
Another thing I like is that it's easy to share with other team members with edit or view permissions, which makes collaborative work much easier. The download of the diagram also has a very good view (something that is not easy to find) since it is downloaded as an image and the visualization is very good. It also has other download options that can be very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far I have not found anything that I disliked too much about the tool. The only thing I would highlight is the difficulty at first to use it, I could not quickly find or understand the editing functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The first and most valuable of Cacoo is the FREE option, We started to use this due is free, and we were able to operate from different locations. We used at the beginning for making several flow charts; then we also made a data model. All of these tasks were extremely simple and quick. In the end, we also used to create a UML diagram. This is not a real complaint, but I would prefer more "FREE" Sheets included on the free edition; 6 sheets is a little; I think they can add 20 free sheets so the people work enough and then pay for the pro version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
