The collaboration efforts and efficiency of this software helps to create a seamless closeout package for our clients. Buildr has taken a very cumbersome task in Construction and streamlined the process. The connectivity between closeout and the warranty period creates an interactive one-stop shop for Clients and internal personal. We had been searching for a solution for a long time, and Buildr checks every box. All of our subcontractor partners have provided positive feedback as well. Turn around time on closeout packages have been greatly shortened which in turn helps us close out a project faster. We are saving time and efforts in this area of Construction and are now able to redirect our hard-work elsewhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The warranty template that we upload should attached to each document request email. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team at BuildR is easy to get a hold of and takes the time to understand how you need things to work, what your team is asking for, and that you don't have unlimited time to make things happen. They will meet or exceed your expectations in terms, professionally sharing their timelines for improvements and taking your improvement suggestions into consideration and constantly moving forward. We have had very positive feedback from our owners who have received their closeout packets. This is the way to go! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With all tools, there is an upfront learning curve to use things to the highest level of success. The one tricky thing in BuildR is communicating the need for 7Zip (or a similar unzipper) to unzip the files. This is standard on most computer setups, but it is hard to explain to those users without a default program for this function. The BuildR team was available within an hour to meet and walk our owner through this on our behalf, and that was INCREDIBLE! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Set-up and Delivery from a GC side is perfect. Subcontractors understand the system and know how to upload documents with ease.
Saves weeks;months of preparing and setting up closeout process Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Viewing is different from GC to Ownership & Subcontractors.
We have been having issues walking the Owners through the exported files understanding how to locate files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It helps streamline the closeout documents into one easy portal. It helps track the warranty process of a project with a much simpler process than sending spreadsheets back and forth. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have seen some push back from architects/engineers that it doesn't break the O&M down to specification sections. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how the PDF is generated with hyperlinks that can be emailed to the property manager at any time. I used to have to build this page by page. I also like the app that's an easy reference. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I don't like is the inability for the client to take photos of issues from the app. Also, it' a little unintuitive to send issues to subcontractors. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The team at Buildr has been incredible to work with from rollout to continued support after over a year of using the software. The software is user-friendly, the screens are laid out well, and allows our team to collect closeout materials in an effective and efficient manner. It also allows us to now turnover complete closeout packages in a streamlined, consistent method to our clients. Our team also appreciates the app integration with Procore as this allows us to automatically sync various tools, import the project directory, and the specifications, if applicable. It is difficult for me identify dislikes with Buildr. If I have to choose, though, it is that if one of my teammates sets up the project, and ask for assistance, the emails via the system still send from the individual that set the project up. We are not able to switch that as of right now, so that can be confusing to our external partners we are trying to collect data from.
We also find that it would be helpful to have a direct upload of the final turnover package to Procore for our own Procore project completion records versus a large file download / upload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use. Easy to organize the Subcontractors. Like the way we can email the subs direct. The download at the end of a project works gret. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
When you are emailing subs there is not a date so that when you go back to see when you sent out an email you have an idea of when it went out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The links within Buildr make it easy to navigate and find documents. Especially for non tech savvy users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I'd like to be able to combine all PDFs into one final PDF deliverable. I like the way it is now but some end users still desire PDF's. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Buildr gives us a system/process where a system/process didn’t exist before. It is helping us to standardize our turnover process across all of our projects. This is so important for repeat clients with multiple project teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love how the closeout package is formatted and how easy it is to use and give to owners. We could never format on our own and create something as usable as the report we pull off Buildr. Our ownwers have been really pleased with how it looks. I think it saves a lot of time versus pulling things off Procore and into files on our computer. The process for closeout used to be much more time consuming. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Buildr seems to be consistently underdevelopment, so there are a lot of things that they are fixing and need to improve to make it easier to use on our end. It just seems new, like every detail has not been worked out yet. The download process can be difficult and usually requires a 7zip system to do it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
