## Buildr Reviews
  ### 1. Buildr... Closeout as you go!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike J. | Construction Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 10, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The ability to be compiling an active closeout documentation package for our teams using Buildr has been absolutely stellar. Each team is blown away by the ease of use, but mostly the countless hours reduced for creating project closeouts. Typically, it can take anywhere from a week to a few months of hunting down information and formatting it into an easily consumable format for the customer, but with Buildr, that process is down to a matter of hours. The end product is a beautifully linked document that takes no training for our clients to use. We are now using Buildr on all of our projects moving forward and we thank Caleb and his team for the continued direct support!

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

We had wished there was a way to segment out certain modules for export (in case a client only wanted to see RFIs. etc). The team over at Buildr heard our wish, and the techno-genies over there granted it within a week of discussion! The communication with their team has been absolutely stellar and their customer service is second to none.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently, we are using Buildr mainly for project closeout and submittal collection, though we are now testing the warranty function with great results. Having an online portal for the client to submit warranty claims for review and for us to keep them updated is a much more streamlined direction that keeping a local database per project.

  ### 2. Very easy to use and makes the closeout process much easier.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kameron H. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Buildr notifies the subcontractors that they have documents they need to submit.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

I would like to be able to send out multiple requirements to multiple subcontractors at once rather than individually.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of having people email multiple documents, Buildr allows all of the information to be stored in one location. This takes the stress of compiling all the information off of you.

  ### 3. Buildr organizes Closeout and delivers value to our clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kitty L. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The way Buildr syncs with Procore to pull documents, vendors, and submittals in an organized way and then uses all of the information to create a completely offline, deep-hyperlinked PDF that is an all encompassing closeout package for our clients. It saves our people time and lessens the administrative burden. It's helpful to be able to track the status of document requests, see the conversations and feedback from our vendors within the platform, and have an overall view of where closeout stands for each project. Starting closeout at the beginning of the project, using Buildr, demonstrates the importance of setting of Procore correctly at the beginning to have a better closeout at the end, and project organization throughout.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Document request feature is helpful when collecting documents outside of or in addition to Procore. It could be improved by allowing the sender (us) the option to be cc'd on the e-mail as proof of delivery/sending. Sometimes vendors said they never received the requests from Buildr and we would like to be able to have the ability to see that we were on the e-mail and that it was sent to the right person and point them to the time it should have been received so we can tell them to check their spam and be confident that it was delivered.

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Look at and measure the time your closeout process is taking now and the attitude towards closeout as a baseline. Then see how much time it takes after one projects and how the attitude changes.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Closeout administrative burden and closeout progress tracking. We've realized the benefits of saved time, a streamlined system, and an easy way to transition if a team member (or intern) leaves the project before closeout finishes and needs to hand off responsibilities. Having all the documents in one place, ready for combination/organization, frees our staff of the burden of making sure they're organized withing folders in our own systems/folders/inboxes and shifts that task to Buildr.

  ### 4. Prioritizing Efficiency Above Everything

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Merissa F. | Project Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The collaboration efforts and efficiency of this software helps to create a seamless closeout package for our clients. Buildr has taken a very cumbersome task in Construction and streamlined the process. The connectivity between closeout and the warranty period creates an interactive one-stop shop for Clients and internal personal. We had been searching for a solution for a long time, and Buildr checks every box. All of our subcontractor partners have provided positive feedback as well. Turn around time on closeout packages have been greatly shortened which in turn helps us close out a project faster. We are saving time and efforts in this area of Construction and are now able to redirect our hard-work elsewhere.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

The warranty template that we upload should attached to each document request email.

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Try it. Look at your current system for closeout, and write down your needs and wants. Take a call with Caleb and his team and find out of this is a good solution for your team. Even through COVID we have successfully created a partnership with Buildr.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Efficiency. Our subcontractors are turning around paperwork at lighting speed.

  ### 5. Stellar Service Professional Closeout Manuals

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wendy L. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The team at BuildR is easy to get a hold of and takes the time to understand how you need things to work, what your team is asking for, and that you don't have unlimited time to make things happen. They will meet or exceed your expectations in terms, professionally sharing their timelines for improvements and taking your improvement suggestions into consideration and constantly moving forward. We have had very positive feedback from our owners who have received their closeout packets. This is the way to go!

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

With all tools, there is an upfront learning curve to use things to the highest level of success. The one tricky thing in BuildR is communicating the need for 7Zip (or a similar unzipper) to unzip the files. This is standard on most computer setups, but it is hard to explain to those users without a default program for this function. The BuildR team was available within an hour to meet and walk our owner through this on our behalf, and that was INCREDIBLE!

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Discuss your needs with the BuildR team and review samples of their closeout material.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used to have owners request paper copy closeout. This still happens on occasion, but we have moved away from the older methods and are able to provide an easily navigable digital closeout.

  ### 6. Nothing But Excellence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan B. | P, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Set-up and Delivery from a GC side is perfect. Subcontractors understand the system and know how to upload documents with ease.

Saves weeks;months of preparing and setting up closeout process

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Viewing is different from GC to Ownership & Subcontractors.

We have been having issues walking the Owners through the exported files understanding how to locate files.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

TIME,TIME,TIME

  ### 7. Great closeout/warranty software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

It helps streamline the closeout documents into one easy portal. It helps track the warranty process of a project with a much simpler process than sending spreadsheets back and forth.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

I have seen some push back from architects/engineers that it doesn't break the O&M down to specification sections.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have streamlined our O&M Building process. It allows the entire team to see how we are doing on the closeout phase of the projects. I found that subcontractors really like only having to go to one place to submit information.

  ### 8. Buildr has saved me countless hours and created a standard our clients appreciate.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

I like how the PDF is generated with hyperlinks that can be emailed to the property manager at any time. I used to have to build this page by page. I also like the app that's an easy reference.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

What I don't like is the inability for the client to take photos of issues from the app. Also, it' a little unintuitive to send issues to subcontractors.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we faced was a major workload on the project engineers or project managers to create this whole closeout package right at the end of the project when things are busy. With Buildr it still takes time to input the O&M's and Warranties, but it is so much easier using the cloud based website. The other issue we faced was the inconsistency with the closeout package - depending on who built it the package would look and function completely differently. The benefit realized is ease of creating the closeout package, a real-time sync of procore tools, and a standard closeout package and warranty protocol. These were major steps in standardizing our company and making it easier for everyone.

  ### 9. Makes collecting closeouts easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The team at Buildr has been incredible to work with from rollout to continued support after over a year of using the software. The software is user-friendly, the screens are laid out well, and allows our team to collect closeout materials in an effective and efficient manner. It also allows us to now turnover complete closeout packages in a streamlined, consistent method to our clients. Our team also appreciates the app integration with Procore as this allows us to automatically sync various tools, import the project directory, and the specifications, if applicable.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

It is difficult for me identify dislikes with Buildr. If I have to choose, though, it is that if one of my teammates sets up the project, and ask for assistance, the emails via the system still send from the individual that set the project up. We are not able to switch that as of right now, so that can be confusing to our external partners we are trying to collect data from.
We also find that it would be helpful to have a direct upload of the final turnover package to Procore for our own Procore project completion records versus a large file download / upload.

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

This is the platinum of closeout software and warranty management. You will not be disappointed.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are plenty with using Buildr for our team. Time-saving. Consistent request messaging for collecting closeout materials. Tracking and reporting is now available to us as we progress with each closeout project. And the final turnover package to our client is easy to navigate and electronic. We are now able to store the same clients multiple project closeouts on a single platform.

  ### 10. Wonderful Program to use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Becky K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The ease of use. Easy to organize the Subcontractors. Like the way we can email the subs direct. The download at the end of a project works gret.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

When you are emailing subs there is not a date so that when you go back to see when you sent out an email you have an idea of when it went out.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the nice benefits is that the subs can upload their close out documents direct.

  ### 11. Buildr if very intuitive and user friendly

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The links within Buildr make it easy to navigate and find documents. Especially for non tech savvy users.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

I'd like to be able to combine all PDFs into one final PDF deliverable. I like the way it is now but some end users still desire PDF's.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The deliverable it produces is top notch. No major problems at the current time.

  ### 12. Awesome product. Awesome people.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John A. | Operations Technology Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Buildr gives us a system/process where a system/process didn’t exist before. It is helping us to standardize our turnover process across all of our projects. This is so important for repeat clients with multiple project teams.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

That everyone lives in California. So far

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Highly suggest Buildr, not only because it is a great product that solves such a difficult pain point, but because the people that work at Buildr make the implementation so seamless.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem of everyone trying to figure out how to organize and collect close out docs at the end of a project. Benefit that it is standard across all our projects now so close out is done with consistency for our clients.

  ### 13. The learning curve is worth the final product.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

I love how the closeout package is formatted and how easy it is to use and give to owners. We could never format on our own and create something as usable as the report we pull off Buildr. Our ownwers have been really pleased with how it looks. I think it saves a lot of time versus pulling things off Procore and into files on our computer. The process for closeout used to be much more time consuming.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Buildr seems to be consistently underdevelopment, so there are a lot of things that they are fixing and need to improve to make it easier to use on our end. It just seems new, like every detail has not been worked out yet. The download process can be difficult and usually requires a 7zip system to do it.

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Don't be afraid to ask for help. The support staff are wonderful to work with and make using Buildr so much better. The end product is the goal and decide if the final report is what you want and does everything you need it to before making your final decision to use Buildr.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buildr solves the long and messing closeout manual process; allowing us to create a better product faster.

  ### 14. Incredibly Helpful Program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin G. | Office Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Not having to request documentation separately.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Syncing with Procore left out documents.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being efficient in closeout process.

  ### 15. Perfect Solution to the Close Out Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley T. | Project Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

I like the ease of use and user friendliness of the software

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Just started using the program and so far it’s awesome, can’t think of anything I dislike.

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Highly consider it, you won’t be disappointed

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Collecting documents from subs and great way to organize and keep track

  ### 16. Product Implementation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Reseena C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The programs ability to interface with Procore and ease of use as well as quick the responses to inquiries and suggestions.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

The biggest feedback I have received is regarding the multiple documents for the package turnover. Our PE's would are the owners of this task prefer the option of having a single PDF document. Other than that, I haven't heard any other negative feedback.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our surveys showed that we were lacking in our closeout and warranty follow through for our customers. We wanted an easier and more efficient method of working on these tasks.
Benefits - easy project implementation and simple task management.

  ### 17. No Longer Dreading Close-Outs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Don't know if I have a favorite, since the entire process of setting up the close-out process has been streamlined, and is quick and easy. Being able to view all the trades on the same screen without having to search sections is great. Completion status is useful.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

At this point, I don't have any dislikes, but it would be helpful if items uploaded into Buildr in lieu of Procore would sync back to Procore.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having the close out documents in one easy access location and the reduction in time gathering all needed requirements. Saves time, easy to use.

  ### 18. So far, so good!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsey K. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Buildr has organized and streamlined our processes! I like that it integrates so deeply with Procore and eliminates a lot of double work for our employees.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

I wish there were more mobile capabilities on the warranty reporting side.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buildr has helped solved a lot of inconsistent deliverables and has provided visibility to our project teams on status of items without having to ask others questions or rummage through email chains.

  ### 19. Project Engineer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

It provides an easy tracking tool for General Contractor's with an interface for Sub's that seamlessly transitions into a comprehensive close-out package for the Owner.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

There are duplicate steps involved when submittals need to be submitted through Buildr and Procore. It would be helpful if there was an easy transition between the two systems for approvals.

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Consider the tool as being extremely helpful during close-out, but also note how much value it will provide to the Owner after the project is complete.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time savings on collecting close-out documents. Bluebeam close-out packages are time consuming and user errors are common, Buildr eliminates all of these concerns.

  ### 20. Look no further for compiling your close out and warranty packages!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frank C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Automated process for soliciting documentation from subcontractors, integration with Procore and the ability to extract and sync documents, and the ability to compile into a presentable close out package.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

This isn't a standard feature in Procore!

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to allocate and dedicate staff towards the end of the project to chase close out documentation.

  ### 21. Minimal experience operating the software. However, I have received positive feedback from colleges.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

The team at Buildr has been easy to work work. Always available and willing to do ample trainings for staff new to the software.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

The business model was a hurdle we had to get over in the beginning. Our business is structured as each individual project operates separately where Buildr is looking for a BU level deal. We were able to reach mutually agreeable terms for the deal.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is my understanding Buildr has greatly improved our turnover time and quality for the projects. Saving our owners costs.

  ### 22. Warranty Manager dealing with Closeout Document Collections

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

Percentage complete on the overall collection

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Search capabilities. Capability to locate by the Trade

**Recommendations to others considering Buildr:**

Understand how Bldr syncs from ProCore .. So you can manage the upload sources better on your end.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Knowledge of exactly what is missing and at a glance confirmation of completion by trade

  ### 23. Buildr has made the Close out Process much more streamlined.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

I really like the seemless Procore Integration. I also really like the multiple ways the finished manual is presented to the Owner.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

The one downside is that it doesn't loop back into Procore for those jobs where the closeout started in Procore.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Buildr has saved a good amount of time in the close out process. It has given us a great platform to manage warranty tickets as well.

  ### 24. Making closeouts easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2020

**What do you like best about Buildr?**

How everything is linked and bundled. Linked with ProCore.

**What do you dislike about Buildr?**

Owners should be able to add users. All is fine.

**What problems is Buildr solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am saving time. Giving owners a complete package with one email.
