I've found Brinqa to be­ extremely he­lpful in keeping my company safe from online­ threats. It meshes re­ally nicely with the other se­curity tools we already had in place, making our risk asse­ssments go much more smoothly. Their support te­am is super responsive - whe­never issues come­ up, they help get the­m resolved really quickly. I'm also a big fan of the­ features that allow us to identify vulne­rabilities and better compre­hend potential risks, as it helps us significantly stre­ngthen our defense­s. While Brinqa thoroughly e­xamines a significant amount of data when connecting to various se­curity programs simultaneously, on occasion it may require slightly more­ time to sync information. This can delay how rapidly we scan for pote­ntial threats. Brinqa analyze­s plenty of details, you may nee­d to dig a bit to uncover some specific pie­ces of information. For our program, Brinqa excels at providing a single pane of glass for managing various risk metrics, making decision-making more efficient and streamlined. Its robust data integration capabilities allow for seamless consolidation of data from multiple sources like CMDB, EVM, Pentest, SAST, DAST, SCA, and AVA. This comprehensive view significantly enhances our understanding of the security posture in a single reporting plane. Brinqa's speed of implementation in bringing in all different data sources leaves room for improvement, affecting both the initial setup and ongoing integration of requirements. The general issue around data source integration is caused by insufficient support and FTE resources from the vendor, making it a challenging endeavor to streamline operations. Additionally, the tool presents a steep learning curve, requiring considerable time and effort to master and maintain. This impacts our team's efficiency and contributes to operational complexities. Brinqa's connectors are powerful and easy to set up, and the ability to customize and manipuate the data right inside of Brinqa has been a huge timesaver. We are using Brinqa to combine data from our vulnerability management tool with our application security tool to give us a hollistic view of all of our applications and servers, and it has helped us determine real risk and prioritization. The platform is very flexible and customizable. A lot of competitors are rigid and only allow a few customizations on reports or pre-defined views. The ability to import a lot of different data sources, combine and determine risk is very powerful. The ease of connecting APIs to import data is also straightforward. There are a lot of features that advanced users can take advantage of, but it is also becoming easier for everyday users to customize. The timeline on customer support is also very quick. One downside is all of the customization. It can be overwhelming at times, especially during the initial setup. Molding organizational data to fit into data formats that Brinqa expects can also be challenging. With such a large platform with many features, there are quite a few bugs that have to be worked out. First and foremost is the dedication to any and all data - this is huge for us as we buy off the shelf as much as we build internally. Ease of understanding the true holistic picture of risk across the environment as well as being able to offer our customers self-service for the critical information they need quickly. Brinqa requires a deep knowlege of it's innerworkings and constant support to code the simplest of dashboards. It is NOT a VM tool, at best it is a data aggregator. We have been extremely pleased with the level of customization possible when using Brinqa. The connectors out of the box covered the majority of our use cases and we've had a good experience when requesting new connections.
