I find Brightpearl to be really quick for getting an overview of orders, which is really helpful. There's some good dashboard features that make data visible the moment you log in. The API is really extensible, making it easy for us to poll data and do additional manipulation that isn't necessarily possible directly on the platform. There's also a great deal of automation that we can do, especially around how orders are routed to different warehouses and stock is allocated. Being able to use the API for routing orders effectively has taken a lot of manual work out of the equation for our team, and the system's ability to centralize data from multiple sources like Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy is a big plus. There's two things I think that could be improved. One is there are a few pieces within the API that aren't available. Being able to manipulate delivery addresses on orders isn't a feature you can currently do via the API. With Shopify adding order edit features recently, it would be helpful to match those in Brightpearl. I know it's possible because the order edit feature works with Brightpearl for address adjustments, but that feature is unavailable on the API. The other is automation around purchase orders. There's automation for sales orders, but none for purchase orders. This means we have to run some processes manually that we would like to automate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
