BrightEdge does a great job providing clear, concise data in an easy to understand UI. Like many SEOs, content creators and owners are not within the same team, so ensuring that these users can understand and prioritize content creation with SEO best practices in mind is critical, and I think that BrightEdge has always done a good job elevating these metrics making them actionable for the greater content teams. An area where BrightEdge can improve is through buyer journeys. I'd like to see content and corresponding KPIs visually structured in a way that lets users prioritize based on user experience on and off my website - focusing less on specific keywords but more on the entire thought process and potential searches that take plan to reach content- especially with voice search now bringing more long-tail keywords with low search volume, than less keywords with high search volume. The only think I dislike about BrightEdge is how frequently it logs me out if I move away from the window I’m working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like that the data and what I need to do to improve are all right there. This tool has so many great features to it I'm still learning new things and ways to increase our rankings and organic SEO. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Because of all the great information, it can be overwhelming to learn and understand. I often need a reminder from my Success Manager of where/how to look at things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have been using BrightEdge for about 8 years now and take it wherever I go. It is now integral to what I do as an SEO, what I can do for a company and it makes me a better SEO practitioner. I still enjoy their standard reports such as Data Cube and Content IQ but I'm now fully invested in their newer features such as Data Cube X, CoPilot, Instant, and Autopilot. Their Data Cube X is now a necessity to how I look at competitor websites, content gap analysis, and how I construct a lot of my content planning. Their Content IQ is how I look for site issues and measure the health of my site. Their dashboards are how I report back to the business. With their newer features, I have AI-enabled abilitites to interlink using Autopilot and a better way to optimize my pages with Copilot. Their recommendations, now AI-driven, are ones you can pull directly from their system. These features are now ones I could not live without. They've come a long way. For an experienced SEO like me, their page suggestions often don't make sense or hold water. The suggestions are automated and based on elements of SEO that I don't find helpful or useful. Might be fine for someone newer to SEO, but I usually skip over these. Same could be said for their Home screen data points. Nice, but not essential to what I need to do my job. BrightEdge does not do everything I want or need. I still have to use an alternate tool every now and again to cross-check crawl issues or to pull URL's more quickly but BrightEdge has way more and way better tools for what I need than missing any of the tools that I need to use occassionally. There is so much that BrightEdge offers, it can be difficult to do everything you can do and should do to optimize your website. I could spend half my week every week using the BrightEdge platform to improve my website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The specific recommendations provided on each page provide guidance on where to invest time on improving search performance. With a small team we can quickly focus on areas that can have a quick impact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a digital marketer, I use BrightEdge daily to track keyword performance, optimize content, and uncover new SEO opportunities. While it’s easy to use, some functionalities aren’t always the most intuitive. That said, the BrightEdge team is fantastic—providing frequent product knowledge sessions that keeps me, and my team informed about new features and best practices. This is especially useful given the evolving SEO landscape, especially with the rise of AI-driven search. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some features are not intuitive and while data cubex has powerful capabilities, I don't like that performance comparisons are limited to month over month. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The Brightedge platform has given our company valuable insight into what our competitors are focusing on content wise, while also pointing out technical aspects that we need address with our development team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with most enterprise solutions - cost is high compared to platforms like SEMrush. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The great point about BE is their Customer Success team, who can understand a bit of technicalities and guide users on our own pace. It gives me understanding on a hollistic view on SEO and understanding to use BrightEdge according to our needs (for example: analysis, content briefing, etc.)
I like the new Data Cube X - and have been using that most of the time to do keyword or page analysis. It gives me a high level overview on keyword to be tackled, and how to win the game realistically. Been using this in at least 5 different languagages as I handled different markets. The overall user interface and experience can be improved - but still can be navigated properly at the moment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a Swiss army knife of SEO tools. Research, deep dives, technical seo, reporting and AI content generation as well as managed services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price is a bit high, the learning curve is a few months, and data cube x only displays paid search KD Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
