What do you like best about Blender?

Blender takes its strength from the large community constantly sharing and developing the code. It has incredibly changed and grown since the first versions and this was possible thanks to the Community. Furthermore, you can use Blender to do any kind of 3d and its basic and integrated render engine is powerful. The possibility to do 2d animations starting from a 3d model is extraordinary! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

The interface is really complex and could generate anxiety for a newbie. On the other hand, Blender has an option and a command for almost everything, so it is quite impossible to design an easy and friendly-lòooking interface. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

I am able to create everything I need in my job, especially strange and organic shapes, like human bodies and monsters. The fact that this program is open-sourced and costs 0€ is incredibly important for a small design studio like mine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blender?

It is simple to produce any shape or pattern thanks to the modelling tools strength. Characters can be animated to move and look like actual people and the physics engine enables accurate simulation of materials like liquids and clothing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

For new users the UI might be confusing and time-consuming to understand. because it could have performance issues, working with huge or complicated models or sceneries might be challenging. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

We utilise Blender to make both straightforward and intricate sceneries for our customers. We are able to create 3D models of objects, texture them, and even rig them if necessary. We can create scenarios and animate the objects once they are ready. Blender also provides good post-processing features, which we use to improve the output. What do you like best about Blender?

One of the best things about blender is how many things it is capable of doing on its own; it supports multiple types of files (almost all), and not only that, but you can use python programs to get the things you want to work, you will really enjoy it once you find out it can do almost everything in 3D Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

Blender is so giant and has so much functionality in it that sometimes you might feel overwhelmed, and it's not something that you'll pick up and start working on it; one must have good knowledge of not only 3D but also shortcuts of it because as work gets time-consuming if you don't use shortcut Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

Blender is handy for all 3D solutions, but primary I use it for 3D modeling and making the new animated objects and sometime I also use it for uv correction of object, I sometime use it for giving texture property or applying texture to the object Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blender?

Its vast number of features, agility to render many different models, built-in video editor is an excellent tool for any fast video editing etc., and great features for animation and 3D model designing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

The slow learning curve is not so easy, help or support, a bit confusing for newbies, hogs lot of hardware resources on most of the PCs, some parts are buggy and basic, which can be improved, and it's still not accepted as the industry standard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

Free tools to start of 3D modelling, easy to handle the vast number of options if you have used other tools, helping in creating the next generation medical devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blender?

One feature that sets Blender apart from other tools is that it is an open-source project and has profoundly transformed the fields of animation, visual effects, and digital art. Due to Blender's open-source nature, it is fully free to use, allowing artists on a tight budget to have unrestricted access to high-end software. The community of blender is something that helps the beginners most. The real-time rendering engine in Blender is revolutionary. It makes it simpler for artists to iterate and make changes immediately because they can instantly watch their scenes come to life. Also, the documentation, tutorials, and learning resources are making it easier for users to get started and learn new techniques Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

The interface that Blender provides may be confusing for users who are using it for the first time. Because of the complexity of software and all the renders it has to do, it requires specific hardware requirements so the performance can sometimes be a concern Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

Blender is saving the High cost of 3D software designed for professionals. The members of my team work on different operating systems such as ubuntu, Windows, and macOS. We all can use Blender to get things done without worrying much. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blender?

Blender lowers the price barrier for entry to zero while offering a package that is as capable as most other solutions that cost thousands of dollars on the low end. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

It's not a fault with Blender, per se. However, the primary reason that Blender has not taken over the CG space is that proprietary solutions have a stranglehold, and this will be the biggest factor in deciding if Blender is right for you and your company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed a robust 3D software package to produce detailed CG animations on a budget. We also didn't require interoperability with any other studios or contractors, so not using an industry standard tool like Maya was not an issue--Blender solved the problem perfectly for us. What do you like best about Blender?

Blender is one of the powerful 3D modelling tool That I have used which helps build the environment for my unity apps faster , moreover the keyboard shortcuts makes 3D modeling a lot challenging but at the same time fun Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

there is nothing much of downside , since it provides almost every tool for 3D modelling the Interface looks a lot clumsy and makes first time users definitely overwhelming Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used to use blender when I was working for AR/VR domain , where I have to create a lot of 3D models or assets and even sometimes even the entire environment for the app . It does contains every tool to create everything in your mind Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blender?

Blender is a relatively easy-to-learn modeling tool. I love that it is free to use and has a lot of functionality with a comfortable user interface. It's not the end all, especially for professional developers, but it is a fantastic app for certain functions, great for learning, and great for school use. It can be used for 3d modeling, animations and even work presentations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

Sometimes manipulating objects can be a little clunky. It has some limitations, especially with video editing and game design. Cloud storage requires a paid subscription. It is user-friendly and not difficult to learn, but learning through a tutorial or class is really needed to get the maximum use of this program (as with most similar programs). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

I used this program in a children's technology school where we taught 3d modeling using Blender to children aged 6 and up. You can find pre-made shapes and designs that kids can start with while they learn the real basics. The older kids and adults we taught were able to utilize more of the functions. This is a great program for teaching since it is free, and you can use it at different learning levels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Blender?

Blender is a robust opensource 3D beast. I love how customizable the interface is. I love the workflow. It is incredible and the fact that it is open source makes it so cool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Blender?

The render times are incredibly long out of the box. There is so much packed into the program that it can appear to be a little cluttered at times. This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Blender solving and how is that benefiting you?

I need educational 3D renders that people can include in their slide shows or I need hero images that don't exist yet. This is typically used when there is no physical producted designed yet. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
