I like how organized my classes are through blackboard. I can view all of classes and their syllabi, assignments, grades, and other content posted from professors. I can also submit assignments and post comments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I have not had any issues with blackboard. Your courses and their content disappear after they end, but this I think can be changed so that they do not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked the organization of different courses I am enrolled in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I disliked plethora of information provided and it can be abstracted in a nice way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like being able to see my grades from the app and being able to see any discussions, assignments, or work any teachers from my classes post. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't like that the app and website are very cluttered. It takes a while to find what I'm looking for which is why I keep my use at a minimum. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is a useful app for students and teachers. Teachers can share everything such as lecture notes, grades with their students and also students can discuss a topic by using Blackboard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Mobile app works a bit slower and there is a problem with interface it is not attractive enough. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I liked that I was able to easily access Blackboard on my computer as well as my phone if I was on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I didn’t like that there were so many maintenance alerts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- The website itself is fairly simple and straight forward to use, with many different functionalities and tool for both teachers and students to use.
- Clean and simple user interface with clearly labeled functions and elements.
- Available on different platform such as PC, Mac, Android and iOS for better switching between devices.
- Include a lot of great learning functionalities such as discussion boards, notification center, calendars, its own test and exam platform...
- The ability to integrate with different APIs from different companies to extend its functionalities even further.
- Great team working functions such as video call, team board, contacts... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
- Annoying lockdown function that automatically logs out user after 30 minute of inactivity. Please at least give me the option to change the amount of time before logging me out or prompt a check box to confirm if I want to log out or not.
- Does not have an autosave feature. I have many time lost my work in the process either because of network error or the site automatically log me out without saving my work first. Major annoyance.
- Notification should be organized by subject first, then chronological order to make it easier to keep track of and find. Also new notifications sometimes doesn’t show up in the control panel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Blackboard is a nice learning software to have all your classes in one location. I like how you can provide links in it and each class is customized to the professor's liking. There seem to be many features on this software that professors like to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It could look better and be organized in a more concise fashion. The look is outdated and it seems as if everything is in the same font/style which is hard on the eyes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Blackboard to facilitate training for our student workers. There are different modules based on how long they've been with us and their status, as well as areas we use to tell them how they're doing on attendance. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Accessibility can be an issue. I have trouble using it and making sure I have all the documents up in the right area. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Blackboard does have some great features. It is a great content management platform where it is very easy to manage course materials, manage full-time positions, and manage both your courses (from a student's end), and grade submissions (from an instructor's point of view). It is easy to access through both Windows and MacOS, and is good to have all things in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
First, the blackboard app is horrible. It freezes, logs out when you don't want it to, and does not even support simple file formats. It is also impossible to access the side-tabs of the desktop mode to the app mode. In the Desktop mode, the layout is still very messed up with characters and tabs overlapping each other. BlackBoard is constantly being worked on. Every once in a while they'll send me an email and make sure I'm aware that BlackBoard is shut down for a certain amount of time (usually a few hours during the night), so that they can do updates. Because of this, BlackBoard has never glitched for me and is always easy to use. I have been using BlackBoard for my entire college career and it has never been a hassle. I think the only part of BlackBoard I dislike is the fact that you can't customize it too much. I'm on the page several hours most days and I would like if I had the option to choose more than just a few boring colors as my background. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
