Its intuitive interface and seamless navigation, make it user-friendly for both students and faculty. Its modern design enhances usability, while the Collaborate Ultra tool offers a robust virtual classroom experience with high-quality video, audio, and interactive tools like polls and breakout rooms. The product is in updating features so what were ok yesterday no longer valid today. It is better now but update the training materials frequently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Blackboard is a wonderful learning management system. It was one of the first platforms I had started with when I began in my teaching career. I am online instructor for various colleges and universities and appreciate the ease of use, ease of implementation, number of features, and the overall lay out. Publishing software integrates nicely within my courses. My students and I appreciate how the navigation tools are laid out in such a way that it is easy to know where to go for such things as announcements, discussions, assignments, and the like! One improvement that I think Blackboard could have is to more readily integrate audio and video in order to faciliate the use of a variety of multimedia-style discussions. There are tabs within the discussion board boxes. Still, it could be a bit more user-friendly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is very little I dislike! The recently added Design Assistant features put Blackboard on a different level to any other VLE.
The ability to quickly and safely generate new content such as quizzes, assignments, discussion boards, journals and images is a game changer for any academic who is wanting to enhance their teaching, learning and assessment workflows.
Every staff member that has attended one of our training sessions were I introduce Design Assistant has nothing but wonder, amazement and a "how do i get my hands on this!" attitude after the sessions.
All of the above, although my favourite part of BBU should distract from how every other aspect of the software is perfectly designed and balanced to produce unbelievably learning opportunities to provide students the best experiences while at our University. As mentioned above, there is very little I dislike about BBU. I would like to see blackboard thinking about introducing more of a Gamification style strategy to the formative test tool. Think about how successful Kahoot and Quizizz have been. Could we see a more gamified user interface with the new GenAI Design Assistant still working in the background? BlackBoard Ultra really helps keep our courses sleek looking, easy to move through, and build, as well as helps students with navigation. We have cut down our questions with students "lost in Bb space" down to almost nothing. On top of this, none of us (as instructors) had to compromise our materials in moving to Ultra. It really has been a win/win situation.
As we already used BlackBoard Legacy before moving to Ultra, we found that the migration over to ultra with the help of customer service, the videos provided, and training team, made for a very smooth transition. This eas of integration was an important factor in our move to Ultra as BlackBoard Ultra is part of our every day work load as instructors, and important that our students (who also use it every day) were able to access it easily as well. Initially my only issue was how the gradebook (full gradebook) looked. I was used to the old one, and used it to do a lot of my double checking.
However, some of this is my own issue as I am visually impaired, and have to have all of my screens and fonts absolutely giangantic, so that also interfered with the interface of the newer gradebook (because of all the scrolling). Had it been on a normal font size, I don't think it would have been that big of a change. As it was, I simply worked through the other avenues of grading which have been just as good (if not better), and shown me just how flexible Ultra can be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The recent development to redesign and recreate the content on Enhanced Ultra Document is truly a game changer for us. With the AI capability from building the course structure right to the building of assessment had played a significant role in shapping our institution brand value among our students. What's more interesting though is the upcoming feature which is of our great interest like AI powered chat bots to include it in the Discussions where student will be geatly involved interacting with it. All in all, according to me, this is the Go To product if you are looking for a LMS for your institution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, the Courses under UBN fails to load due to high number of course access but otherwise I haven't come across any such big issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Easy management and has a intuitive GUI that is easy to use for both teachers and students. The assignment and assessement tools are really developing in a positive way.
We use a lot of LTI-tools and it integrates fine with Blackboard Learn.
The Ultra version of Blackbord Learn is very intuitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The messaging system could be more advanced and the portfolio tool could be updated to a more modern design.
The portfolio tool is working fine but it needs an update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Blackboad allows you to present course content in a way that is effective especially for distance learning. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As with any LMS some applications may not be compatible internally or as an LTI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface is user-friendly. It has that many built-in tools that suits a lot of courses in different specialization. It allows the users to make use of content outside the LMS. It has a wonderful tool for grading and reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has a lot of controls and there is little space for changing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how the Grade Center can easily be cotumized. It is also very handy to be able to work offline on grades then upload them back onto BB. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The fact that I can't send one announcement to all the groups I teach. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
