What do you like best about Bitwarden?

We use Bitwarden daily to login securely, without having the same passwords everywhere. Getting started is very easy, to onboard a new employee in our plan takes just a few minutes. Bitwarden helps us to not just manage our private passwords but also share business-sensitive data. The organization features support us greatly in quickly giving the right people access to the right collections of secrets. The additional supporting features like sending secret data through protected and expiring links are great, and the integration as a secrets manager in our infrastructure sounds promising (did not yet apply it in practice though).

The integration with multiple platform (mobile/browser/native desktop) are easy to use. The emergency access feature gives peace of mind too (however I do not plan to actually use that feature of course :) ) I did not need to contact support yet, but the documentation we have consulted are clear and succinct. What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

There are little downsides, only some minor annoyances which are fixed over time. There was quite a difference between the UI in the browser extension and my desktop app, where also my biometrics login did not work properly in the browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sharing passwords and business-sensitive data with teams made very easy and secure. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden is super easy to use and does exactly what I need—a secure place to store my passwords. It syncs across devices smoothly, and the autofill feature works well without being annoying. I also like that it's open-source, so there’s more transparency compared to other password managers. The free version is surprisingly good, and the premium plan is super affordable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

Not a huge deal, but the UI feels a bit outdated compared to some competitors. It’s functional, but it could use a bit of a facelift. Also, the browser extension sometimes needs a refresh to recognize new logins, but that’s rare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitwarden makes it easy to manage and securely store passwords across all my devices without hassle. No more struggling with lost or forgotten passwords, and I don’t have to rely on weak, easy-to-guess ones. It also helps share credentials securely within my team, which saves a ton of time and reduces security risks. The autofill and cross-platform sync make everything smooth and efficient.

a password manager NEEDS to be trustworthy, for bitwarden I don't know of any leaks - so feels very safe Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

I think Bitwarden is an excellent password manager. It is secure, easy of use and cross-platform . In my opinion, setting up and managing passwords is very straightforward, making it a great option for my company empoloyers. One of its best features, I believe, is the ability to securely share passwords with colleagues, which is particularly useful for businesses and collaborative projects. Additionally having Bitwarden available on the web, desktop, and mobile makes accessing passwords effortles., I find that Bitwarden provides a seamless and reliable experience. I highly recommend it. What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

There are no downsides it is, efficient, and well-designed password manager. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

I've contacted Bitwarden support twice since we have had an enterprise version of Bitwarden. Both times, they have responded within the hour and resolved my issue. Bitwarden itself is easy to use as should all password managers be. I have been able to import passwords from an old KeePass instance quite easily and onboard colleagues. We have 50 members of staff constantly using Bitwarden and they have found it easy to follow the sign up process and navigate through to the passwords they require. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

It would be great if you could drag and drop passwords from one collection to another, this would have made sorting through my initial import much easier as my old Keepass instance wasn't supported so had to bring via a csv file and then sort through them. This wasn't a limitation of Bitwarden, more our outdated software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our IT department is able to easily access Bitwarden to retrieve passwords from any device, we previously had an old internally hosted password solution which was difficult to access. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

I used many password managers, from passpack to keepass to lastpass to finally end to bitwarden.

And with bitwarden I found all that I need in a modern password manager.

Logins, secure notes, identity filler, credit card, TOTP, passkeys all together in a multi platform app.

The password fill is incredibly easy, also thanks to keyboard shortcuts.

With enterprise plan I can have shared vaults for convenient passwords share.

Secure send is loved by me, my colleagues and my customers.

It's definitely the app that I use most on my devices.

Customer care is Ok, I had the need to contact support for some billing issues, ticket solving with ease of communication and good response time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

In later months, Bitwarden team rushed to renovate the app look, that lead to some hickups and performance regressions.

Fortunately the dev team is very sensitive to community feedback and correction are quick and smooth.

Also i don't get the release of smartphone's app Bitwarden Authenticator, since main Bitwarden app has TOTP embedded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's impossible to live without a password manager. Bitwarden is the best in the market, in my opinion Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Bitwarden Reviews of Bitwarden

Thanks for the review. Hope the UI performance is now up to expectations. The Integrated Authenticator for TOTP codes within Bitwarden is part of any paid plan.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

You are in control of the security of your vault (encryption method) as well as the security of your use case with features such as autofil methods and options available for you to customise. Initial setup is easy, accessing settings is trivial as well.

Good support for hardware keys for 2FA for additional security, other 2FA methods are available as well.

Easy to use once you have setup the browser extension, autofill is fast and significantly easier than manually typing. Using Bitwarden daily becomes second nature.

Using Bitwarden for TOTP codes makes 2FA easier to manage on various websites.

Good customer support the few times I've had to contact them.

Easy to use across multiple devices due to the vault syncing and good support for multiple platforms.

Solid recovery options such as an emergency contact option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

There is not anything major which is a hard downside. The most painful part is the initial migration from no password migration to Bitwarden as that is manual work.

Due to the security of Bitwarden (which is required feature for me) you are out of luck if you forget your master password and recovery key. This can be a downside if you introduce Bitwarden to family members who might not be familiar with a password manager. It is important to consider how you can recover your or their vaults should something happen.

UI/UX changes like any modern applicaton which sometimes "ruin" your previous workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing unique passwords across multiple products.

TOTP code generation and management for various products. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Quite intuitive and friendly interface, easy to use, lots of features Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

NO VAT refund in UE - invoiced from US so it might be slippery from a tax perspective...

There should be an office (with 1 person!) somwhere in UE.

Rather not meant for bigger organisations.

I miss reporting, simple data extractions (e.g. active users), simple data sorting, grouping , filtering - you need to waste a time to copy it page by page to excel.

Too basic rights management - no service accounts for technicians and administrators, business owners etc - just regular users with a regular fee just with admin rights - it is too litle...

Very strange subscription management and you need to book accounts in advance - no real pay per use, you pay for reservation and (AFIK) then they return for not used accounts... strange.

And another small annoyance: the necessity of switching between eu and us site is confusing and unjustified - when user logs into you know where to redirect them... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden is an open-source password manager featuring very good security and usability. It has applications on several platforms, including an interface in the browser for seamlessly managing passwords across devices and platforms. From secure password sharing to zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption, this is indeed a very powerful solution for both individual and team use. Its free plan is generous, and its premium version is also affordably priced with useful extras. Great for those power users seeking security and transparency in their password management solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

I would like the application to be prettier aesthetically Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Bitwarden solves one of the major problems in security: password and sensitive data management. You will no longer have to remember all those complicated passwords, which reduces the chances of weak or reused credentials. It keeps everything in an encrypted vault so that your information is really protected. Bitwarden seamlessly syncs across devices, allowing you to access your data anytime, anywhere. This saves time but at the same time gives peace of mind, knowing that digital security is in good hands. It's simple but a powerful solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

Bitwarden is a simple, easy to use solution that I utilize in both my work and personal life many, many times per day. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it for password management and as an excellent replacement to LastPass.

Some things liked:

- Light weight

- Able to generate strong passwords and passphrases for you.

- MFA security and multiple MFA options

- Free family accounts with business accounts

- Onboarding new users is a reasonably simple process

- Can utilize the desktop vault, the mobile app, and website for free accounts (with LastPass you have to pick one or the other and can only switch between so many times) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

Overall, little complaints, but there are some minor inconveniences that happen sometimes.

Some dislikes:

- Auto-fill doesn't always work consistently

- Save credentials prompt doesn't always catch on when it should

- Searching your vault doesn't always yield results even though you know it should.

- Browser add-ins/extensions are sometimes sluggish

- Bitwarden user accounts created before their corporate email account is created get added to a no-send list at Bitwarden because Bitwarden receives and NDR from the automatic welcome email it sends on user creation. Subsequent resends of invitation emails from the admin portal do not send because of that. Have to reach out to Bitwarden support to get the user email taken off their no-send list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

Centralizing the keeping and sharing of business sensitive passwords. Bitwarden makes the management of password security easier for end users and between departments like finance and sales where the use of a shared login for things like tax reporting, website marketing, customer campaigns needs to be communicated between multiple people. Helps with holding important notes of information in a central location and not needing to do password recovery on websites when a user leaves the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bitwarden?

I really love how Bitwarden keeps your passwords super secure - it's like having a magic box that only you can open. When you save a password, it gets scrambled into unreadable code right on your device before it ever touches the internet. Even if someone managed to break into Bitwarden's servers, all they'd find is jumbled nonsense because only your device has the key to unscramble it. It's like sending a locked diary through the mail - the postal service can handle your diary, but they can never read what's inside. As someone who builds software, this clever approach gives me real peace of mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bitwarden?

You know how when you're trying to organize your physical stuff, sometimes you want to put something in multiple places at once? Like maybe you have a document that's both "work-related" AND "tax-related" - you kind of wish you could put it in both folders! That's how I feel about Bitwarden's organization system. Don't get me wrong, it works great as is, but sometimes I wish I could tag my passwords like we tag photos on social media. Like, maybe my Netflix password could be tagged both as "entertainment" and "shared with family" without having to pick just one category. It's not really a complaint - more like wishful thinking for a feature that would match how my brain likes to organize things! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Bitwarden solving and how is that benefiting you?

The problem of keeping your power of data to yourself, is what attracted me when my coworker should me that, and that is very complelling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
