What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

As a Senior Instructional Designer, I was new to learning about Brainshark. I felt the information that was provided in regard to how the system functions and the new updates that have taken place within the Modern Authoring format were very easy to follow and understand. This is a great tool that anyone can learn to use to help create effective, engaging, and informative content. Whether it be a presentation or a training course, there are many features within the tool that can be utilized to create content and disburse to audiences quickly. It is very easy to implement and teach others, and for my role specifically I do envision I will be using this tool quite frequently. You can also export SCORM files to integrate in LMS' such as Workday Learning with ease. I do very much enjoy that when you edit the course or presentation in Brainshark, the SCORM file is updated in real time. Reducing the need to export a new SCORM file each time. What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

The only constructive piece of feedback I would provide would be to have more visibility into the more advanced functionalities, like adding closed captioning. Some of the functionalities canbe difficult to find for new users of the tool, but the training center has excellent resources available to help with this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

Transitioning from a manual onboarding process to Brainshark has been a total game-changer for me! This tool has saved me so much time and effort. I love how I can create a tailored curriculum for new hires, assign courses, and easily track their progress. One standout feature is the ability to add voiceovers to each slide. It means I don’t have to nail a perfect take in one go—what a relief! Plus, the ‘Request Audio’ feature is super handy for collaborating with team members who aren’t admins on the platform.

Having Brainshark at my fingertips has truly simplified my daily tasks. I can quickly put together tutorials for my team and direct them to existing resources without the hassle of hunting through endless files. It’s fantastic to have all our training materials consolidated in one place, and I’ve received great feedback from everyone!

On top of that, I can’t say enough about the customer service. They’ve been incredibly responsive, often getting back to me the same day. Our implementation took a bit longer because we had a lot of content to transition, but it was totally worth it. Our implementation manager was thoughtful and proactive, making sure we were well-prepared and even joining the rollout session to answer any questions we had. What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

There are a few areas for improvement. The user interface could use a refresh, especially when it comes to creating folders and groups; it feels a bit outdated and can be cumbersome to manage. Also, I’d love to see some basic video editing features added. Sometimes, there are awkward pauses at the start or end of a video that I can’t trim, which means I have to redo those clips. Lastly, the search functionality can be a bit finicky, and it takes some time for courses to load.

Overall, Brainshark has significantly improved my workflow, and I’m excited to see how it continues to evolve! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

BrainShark excels with its user-friendly interface, allowing easy design and launch of short courses. The drag-and-drop functionality and built-in templates make adding multimedia and quizzes a breeze, perfect for users with minimal tech experience. Guided tutorials further streamline course development, saving time and effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

BrainShark can feel repetitive at times. While the templates are convenient, they may limit variety in course design, making it tough to keep content fresh. Additionally, some users find the step-by-step prompts redundant, which can slow down the creative process for more experienced creators. Overall, while accessible, the software could benefit from more customization options. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

The platform allows for "glorified" PowerPoint PPTX presentations, Adobe Captivate ZIP file click throughs, and raw mp4 videos from Zoom or edited videos from TechSmith Camtasia. Whatever your software, it will most likely upload to their platform. With customizable URLs, recording of audio, and a library of background sounds, the presentation is easy to build. Sharing information is easy and reportable. And, they have amazingly responsive customer service! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

Presentations are a one-to-one match with the Author - meaning, there is no SHARED authorship and if someone is on vacation - we're either stuck until they come back or we have to go through the hassle to get the database administrator to change the author from person 1 to person 2 - which is a permanent change unless manually changed back at a later date. What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

Brainshark is great for taking PPTs and turning them into "training" and being flexible in how those materials are consumed internally or externally. The Scorecard functionality offers great data on usage/completion and the customization is fantastic! A major selling point for my company was also the integration between Brainshark and our Sales Enablement platform, Highspot. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

Brainshark straddles the line between several different platform types including LMS, Sales Enablement platform and maybe a few others. It does each aspect ok rather than any aspect really well. On the LMS side it is just a bit clunky with an outdated UI and a mix of admin activities that are self-service vs having to request service via the Brainshark service team. The parent company of Brainshark has grown in recent years via acquisition, so there is significant work to be done to really create a unified experience as they work to integrate elements of the purchased platforms. As a brainshark presentation owner, the expected functionalities do not work as compared to someone else who is not a presentation owner. For eg. the bookmarking functionality does not work for a presentation owner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

Internal setup of the tool is straightforward, and the support team is very responsive. The platform has been quite inuitive for a sales team that varies in adaptability of new technologies. Our team has been able to transform generic online training into immersive courses that provide our sales team with the visuals and interactivity that makes training a bit less of a chore. What do you dislike about Bigtincan Readiness (formerly Brainshark)?

The platform is only as good as the content your team can produce. It really comes down to how the administrators put the content together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
