The dashboard is customizable, ensuring relevant information and resources are readily accessible. The integrated Cloud Shell within the portal simplifies management tasks and encourages a more streamlined workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Portal?

Despite its strengths, Azure Portal can be somewhat overwhelming for beginners due to its extensive array of features. The learning curve can be steep, and the navigation can sometimes feel complex and non-intuitive. Also, the portal can occasionally feel slow, particularly when managing a large number of resources. What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Resource Management: The Azure Portal is my primary tool for managing and configuring all the resources in my Azure environment. This includes creating and managing virtual machines, databases, web apps, and network configurations.

Monitoring and Diagnostics: Azure Portal provides comprehensive tools for monitoring resource performance and usage. This allows me to track application health, analyze operational data, and troubleshoot issues effectively.

Access Control: I use Azure Portal to manage our Azure resources' access control and security policies. It allows me to define roles and permissions, ensuring that team members have appropriate access to resources.

Cost Management and Billing: The Azure Portal provides tools to track and manage cloud spending. I use it to monitor resource usage, set budgets, and optimize costs.

Development and Testing: Azure Portal allows me to set up and tear down development and testing environments quickly. This ability to create isolated environments helps to ensure that application changes do not impact production workloads. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Portal?

It took no time for my IT department to set up a new, secure FTP-like transfer system. Now our clients didn't need usernames or passwords. A simple online form was created to 'upload' files to Azure. Much easier for me to retrieve (only 1 location) and clients alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Portal?

Anytime there is an issue, I need IT. It's not intuitive to troubleshoot, so support is always required beyond normal user-type questions. That said, it makes me feel more secure knowing it's not easily circumvented. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Portal:

If you have strong IT support it is a great solution for secure file sharing. It has a lot of web-enabled capabilities so that landing pages can be customized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

I think Azure has many use-cases, but we use it as a storage/transfer for client files in a much more user-friendly web interface than the more traditional FTP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
