What do you like best about Azure Portal?

The Azure Portal is a great place to get your feet wet with Azure. If you're not a big fan of the command line you can use it to deploy Azure products and services with ease. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Portal?

There is a lot going on with the UI on the Azure Portal. There are also things which are difficult to locate, such as where your subscription is and when it's going to renew. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Portal:

It has a sharp learning curve to pair the Azure Portal with your favorite learning resources to get the most out of it. There are books, forums, docs, and videos to get you on your feet and live with small projects in the portal. My favorite way to learn the product has been through Microsoft's learn labs which allow you to go step by step through the various use cases all without using any of your subscription credit to practice various deployments. They provide a sandbox environment so you can't break anything and the results are real so you can check on them with a live URL and even share that with a friend or colleague to show off your work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are in the process of migrating to Azure's platform and so for now we are just using Azure Portal to get our feet wet with the system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Portal?

Azure portal provides all your resources under one roof.

The default dashboard is very useful when you want to see what work you did in the past as it will the last created/modified resources.

The portal has every object in place with options to customize as per your need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Portal:

It is easy and actually free to take a trial of Azure Portal by creating a trial account. It is highly recommended to check all the benefits and then decide to go with the product.(However, the portal is way better than its competitors). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

We moved from legacy Hyper-V virtualized platform to Azure Cloud.

Earlier, in order to modify the Virtual Machine, it was required to login to the particular host and make the changes there. Now, Azure portal is a single platform to access all the hosted VMs which has made our life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Portal?

the Dashboards are brilliant, we've got loads of instances running in azure and other services like active directory, Kubernetes and App Services, it's nice to be able to see all the services in ones place Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Portal?

being able to managed office 365 from the azure portal, it'd make it easier being able to manage my licences from one portal instead of having to load up another tab with that information Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

we are able to manage the instances easier from the dashboard, we are able to see what is offline without having to search around and can create email notifications if anything was to fail it's been a complete turn around for us Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Azure Portal?

I think Azure Portal is quite clean UI/UX and shows what you need to use to create and a VM or a storage account. The dashboard is helpful to let the user customize all the alerts, information and news however you want it. The panels when you create the VMs in portal is nice and neatly label. Some of the settings could have a bit more information including the "Learn more" hyperlink then just a tiny description. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Portal?

I think sometimes hiding a lot of the classic Azure stuff is kind of wrong for the user especially if the user needs classic products like VMs. A lot of companies and users will use classic VM because that's how they function, so you'll have to search for the classic VM in the search bar to find it. Another thing I dislike is that there's only a few themes for the user to use, it's either bright, mid bright, dark or bright again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Azure Portal:

Azure Portal should have more themes for users to choose from kind of like their Outlook. As long as it's not cluttering. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Azure portal helps with creating VMs to run certain software as a testing the certain product before actually using it. In addition, creating a file share through Azure Portal is also nice, a lot of things that could be done in Powershell is quite well done in this version of portal. The benefit of having the portal is using it instead of Powershell (a lot people use Powershell, I'm just not a fan of it.). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

microsoft Azure is extremely flexible and supports almost all operating systems. It is very reliable and offers tech support 24/7. It is global and data is housed in geo-synchronous data centers. What do you like best about Azure Portal?

Azure Portal is really easy to use, and is a nice place to store all the apps that my organization uses in one place. It also makes collaboration really easy if you are using the rest of the Microsoft line of products, like Exchange, Sharepoint, and O365. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Azure Portal?

There's not a lot to dislike about Azure Portal. It might be a bit pricey for some smaller companies, but for larger organizations, its well worth the price for the performance and utility it offers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Azure Portal solving and how is that benefiting you?

Azure Portal has helped my colleagues manage applications and MFA easily and with minimal hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
