Automate is very easy to use. I manage to simplify our very messy automation process structure in no time. This is coming from someone who has not use an RPA tool before. It was just handed down to me to review and see how we can use it. Now our processes are monitored and most are self-correcting base on logic. My manager was amazed at how fast I can create processes that help us improve the business process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is slightly buggy. When testing, I can run a script with an ODBC connection it works...run it again, it does not work.
We have the same issue with some variables.
Creating folders.....sometimes it kicks me out.
I had a problem when I updated an ODBC connection, it disconnected all of my odbc connections stopping my whole environement. I had to reinitialize all of them, put in ticket...no reason found. The helpdesk basically relied on me to investigate and provide feedback....They didn't really do anything....
I also hate how long the logo hangs on the screen, I realize this is not impactful in relation to the software....when you open it multiple times a day.....it gets annoying. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I’ve been using Automate since around 2003 or so – love it!
Automate is a superlative product. I’ve tried many other RPA’s and for the types of automation I do none can match it.
My main group of tasks is a small set – a half dozen tasks. My main task has 496 steps. I started this group of tasks in 2013, and they perform over 2,000 staff hours of work each year. We value that staff work at $50/hr.
Automate Desktop cost around $2,000 in2013. So this $2,000 product performs well over $100,000 per year in staff work. Totaling it up this $2,000 investment has done well over $1,000,000 in staff work since 2013.
It would be very tough indeed to find a product with a better cost/benefit ratio!
I have about 30 other Automate tasks currently in my setup.

Automate has been a clutch tool for our organization. At it's peak utilization, our organization has roughly 5-600 RPA processes scheduled and running each day. The tool is fairly easy to use and reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At times, it is hard to distinguish the RPA processes that failed. The built-in failure mechanic is non-functional for us with how we authored our RPA jobs. Now that we have a full suite of RPA processes, it is not feasible for us to return to each and construct them differently to include better failure recordation. Ease of use. It does not require programming experience to begin automating repetitive tasks. It allows for saving money since it can be used instead of some expensive SaaS solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think it is missing some reporting (documentation), which would allow the user to see metadata about the tasks.
For instance, I had to manually go from folder to folder to get the complete list of tasks in Automate for my manager.
Another example would be to go to central database connections and get the list of tasks that use this connection. Why would it be helpful? It would be helpful during connection string changes to know which tasks would be affected. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Automate is an RPA platform, which has all the necessary resources for automations, being attended or not, or even running in the background. Easy to understand for the consultant who has knowledge of logic and notion of programming. Evolution is easily measurable by management. Great cost benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The community is not that vast. Some corrections take time to perform. Courses should be deeper. Migration between versions is very costly, even lowering the cost-benefit ratio and opening up room for competition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Automate RPA is a potent tool. It's incredibly versatile and easy to use, with the only limit being your imagination. The best thing about RPA would have to be all the prebuilt actions you can choose from. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
