## Automate® Reviews
 ### 1. Simplifyig Routine Tasks with easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mayur T. | Technical Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I really like how structured everything is with Automate®. It's easy to understand what each task is doing, which helps both me and management track progress. I appreciate that processes run automatically and are fully visible, making it easier to identify issues compared to traditional scheduled tasks. The support and training are really valuable, being very helpful whenever guidance is needed. I also like that Automate® keeps adding more integrations, which makes it easier to connect with the tools we already use. The main difference I noticed moving from UiPath to Automate® was ease of use, as it's easier to build workflows using the available actions without getting too deep into coding, making everyday work quicker.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

One area that could be better is that it is not always easy to learn everything on your own. The manual is a bit complex and while there are free resources they do not cover advanced use cases. Another thing is that once automations are already built it is difficult to go back and improve them, especially when it comes to better error handling.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Automate® to reduce manual work and simplify repetitive tasks. It helps monitor and track processes, making operations more smooth and reliable with self-correcting capabilities that reduce errors.

**Official Response from Katie Wheelock:**

> Hi Mayur, thanks for your feedback. We really appreciate it. Love to hear that Automate is making it easier to monitor your workload.

 ### 2. Efficient Automation with Minor Challenges

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karsh T. | SOC Engineer, Consulting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I really like Automate® for its 0 to low code approach for automation, which makes it easier for me to handle automation without deep coding knowledge. It offers multiple actions, with hundreds to choose from, allowing me to easily automate tasks like API connections, UI interactions, and file transfers. This is a feature I love because it streamlines my workflow and processes efficiently.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

Automate is full of IT robotic task automator, which means it can automate normal IT tasks that need regular execution, but it is not a SOC native approach like SOAR or XSOAR They could improve in this area. Debugging can be complex with a larger workforce. Also, if the UI of a tool changes, the whole automation breaks because it is a UI-level automator, not a code-level automator. If that can be solved, it would be a better tool.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate® simplifies my manual tasks like report generation and data gathering. It automates alert enrichment, reduces stress for SOC analysts, and allows us to focus on critical incidents, improving our workflow efficiency.

**Official Response from Morgan Celley:**

> Hi Karsh, Thanks so much for your honest feedback. I’m really happy to hear the low-code flexibility and the wide range of actions are making a difference for you. I get the frustration with UI changes breaking automations and the challenges of debugging at scale. We’re working on improving those pain points, and your input is super valuable as we do.

 ### 3. Effortlessly Automates Workflows for Maximum Efficiency

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikash L. | Design Application Engineer, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I like most about Automate® is the ability to schedule tasks to run at a specific time, which makes things very convenient because we do not have to remember to start the process manually every time. Once it is set up, it runs exactly when it is needed. I also like how easily it integrated with our existing systems like CRM and ERP. The platform works smoothly with other tools, which makes it very useful for syncing data and keeping everything updated without extra effort. Another great aspect is the large library of options available on the platform, which makes building automation workflows smooth and user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The interface is good and the features are powerful, but having more beginner friendly guides or training resources could make it easier for new users to get comfortable with the platform more quickly. Also, for people who are new to automation or RPA tools, the initial setup and workflow creation can feel a bit complex.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Automate® to handle repetitive tasks, which solves time-consuming manual work and reduces human error. It automates syncing data, updates spreadsheets, and schedules emails, allowing my team to focus on important work. The easy integration with CRM and ERP systems improves workflow efficiency.

**Official Response from Morgan Celley:**

> Hi Vikash, thank you for sharing your experience! I’m glad the scheduling and integration with your systems have been so helpful for you. It’s great to hear that the platform is making your workflows smoother. We appreciate your feedback on guides for beginners, making onboarding easier is definitely something we’re looking to improve.

 ### 4. Effortlessly Simplifies Repetitive Tasks

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vishal P. | Account Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I mainly use Automate® to handle repetitive tasks that used to take up too much of my time, like automating file transfers, scheduling reports, and moving data between systems. It saves me so much time, and I appreciate how tasks that used to take hours now run automatically in the background. I find the software really powerful yet easy to use. When I first started, I didn't feel overwhelmed; the layout was clear, and building tasks just feels logical. Once a workflow is set up, it runs consistently every time, so I don't have to worry about missing steps or incorrect data. I also like how the interface feels more intuitive compared to what I used before, and monitoring and tracking tasks is simpler with features that make it easier to catch and fix issues quickly. The initial setup was pretty easy too; the clean interface and step-by-step setup guides made it easy to get a workflow running quickly, and I didn't need a programming background, which made the process feel accessible from day one.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

One thing I have noticed is that some advanced features are not always as straightforward as the basic ones. While the platform is easy to start with, once you get into more complex workflows, it can take extra time to fully understand all the options and best practices. I sometimes wish there were deeper, more advanced training resources to help bridge that gap.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Automate® to eliminate repetitive tasks like file transfers and report generation, which saves me a lot of time and effort. It ensures consistency and accuracy in workflows, allowing me to focus on strategic tasks instead.

**Official Response from Katie Wheelock:**

> We're thrilled to hear that Automate® has been able to simplify your repetitive tasks and save you time. Our goal is to provide a powerful yet user-friendly platform, and we're glad to hear that you find it intuitive and easy to use. We appreciate your feedback about the advanced features, and we're constantly working to improve our resources and support for more complex workflows. Thank you for sharing your experience with us!

**Reviewed by:** Vijaysing P. | Test Engineer, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

What I like best about Automate is how easy it is to set up and manage workflows. The drag-and-drop functionality and actions make it easy to automate repetitive tasks, while still having the flexibility to use scripts or integrations if needed. It saves time, effort, and keeps processes consistent and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

One of the cons of using Automate® is that the setup process can sometimes be a bit clunky, especially when integrating different applications. Another con is that when dealing with larger workflows, there can be performance issues or lag when using the software. Another con is that the advanced features of the software require a learning curve.

Such cons as setup issues, performance issues with large workflows, bugs/updates, and complexity are typically found in the summary of reviews.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate® assists in resolving the issue of repetitive manual tasks and inefficient workflows by automating manual tasks and integrations. This increases the time saved on manual data entry or scheduling and makes it easier to create complex workflows without requiring extensive coding. Therefore, I get to enjoy increased speed of task execution, accuracy, and more time to focus on high-value tasks rather than manual ones.

**Official Response from Morgan Celley:**

> Hi Vijaysing, thank you for your thoughtful feedback! ### 6. Streamlined Our Automation, Boosted Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vikesh G. | Business Development Executive

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I use Automate to automate our business processes and reduce manual work, which helps manage files, store data, and keep everything organized in one place, making our work faster. I appreciate how quickly I can create and deploy processes, improving business processes very fast. Even my manager was amazed at how quickly I could build a solution. It saves us a lot of time, reduces small errors, and keeps our files and data well organized. I really enjoy that most of our processes are monitored and self-correcting based on logic, giving us confidence that the system can handle problems automatically. After switching from Rocket Bot, we found that Automate offers faster development speed and a wider range of built-in actions, making it easier to integrate with other software and create processes quickly, which has significantly improved productivity and reduced manual effort.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

One area where Automate could be improved is in reporting and documentation. I feel it is missing some proper reporting features that would allow users to easily see metadata about the tasks. For example, I had to manually go from folder to folder to get the complete list of tasks in Automate for my manager. If there was a built-in report for this, it would save time. Also, if the interface could be made slightly more user friendly for new users, it would help reduce the time required to learn all the features.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Automate® to automate business processes, reducing manual work and minimizing errors. It speeds up tasks like downloading spreadsheets, improves accuracy, and keeps our data organized efficiently.

**Official Response from Katie Wheelock:**

> Awesome to hear that Automate has saved you time and improved productivity. Your feedback about reporting will be taken back to our team and considered as we work on enhancing the platform. We strive to provide a solution that meets the needs of our users, and we appreciate your input.

I wish it could do a little more on the excel side. The interaction recording does help with that
They have listened and have added more functions in the area

**Recommendations to others considering Automate®:**

I would try it out and you will be amazed at how much time it will save you!!!!

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we automated running reports
extracting excel data for importing to SQL database

 ### 11. Simple and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matvey O. | Business Systems Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I like how Automate is simple to setup and migrate but also how simple it is to develop automation with it. You can use the built in features/steps but you can also call your own custom stuff (eg. sql jobs, powershell/bat scripts, APIs) and make it integrate seamlessly with your Automate task you are building.

Training portal and help is pretty good. The ability to edit the task file in your editor of choice is pretty powerfull as well and comes in handy for tedious stuff. Haven't had any issues whatsoever!

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I wish there was a visual way to build tasks. Like a flow chart that you can build and within each flowchart item, the actual steps are there. The bigger the task is, the more cumbersome it is to read through in Automate Task builder. Outside of comments, there isn't a good way to put in documentation or notes with each step.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly getting data from A to B, calling various tasks mid process, verifying everything happened as it should've via logging and flags within the data. The main benefit of is reliability of what you built will run forever as long as the infrastructure side of things is up!

 ### 12. Effortlessly Automates IT Workflows

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Archana S.

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I like the drag-and-drop options and the ability to build complex IT workflows without coding or manual intervention. Automate® makes it easy to automate our day-to-day IT operations quickly and accurately. Its strong third-party integration is a plus, and the visual workflow debugger is an interesting feature that many of our users appreciate as it simplifies troubleshooting. The initial setup was easy, and we didn't have to make any changes to our existing network, allowing for smooth implementation without any disturbance.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

UI performance lags when large workflows are created or run. The UI could be more optimized for complex workflows, and better navigation tools could be added.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate® helps us solve repetitive IT tasks like ticket handling and user management with RPA and workflow automation, making operations faster and more accurate.

**Official Response from Morgan Celley:**

> Hi Archana, thank you for the feedback! I’m glad you’re finding the drag-and-drop options, integrations, and visual debugger so useful in your IT operations. We hear your concerns about UI performance on larger workflows, and we’re always working on optimizations to improve navigation and overall experience.

 ### 13. Automate: The Quiet Time-Saver You Didn’t Know You Needed

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas S. | Conference & Event Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I’ve been using Automate for a while now and it’s quickly become one of those “how did I live without this?” tools. It’s super intuitive, you don’t need to be a tech wizard to set up workflows, and it actually delivers on its promise to save time. I’ve used it to handle everything from repetitive email tasks to scheduling triggers, and it just works without fuss. The interface feels clean and modern, and I appreciate that it doesn’t bombard me with unnecessary features. It’s not flashy, but that’s what makes it great; it quietly runs in the background making life easier. If your day involves juggling lots of small tasks, Automate is worth checking out.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

Sometimes the setup process can feel a bit clunky, especially when trying to connect different apps because it doesn’t always play nice right away. A few times I’ve had automations randomly stop working for no clear reason, which can be frustrating when you’re relying on them. The support articles help, but I wish the troubleshooting was a little more beginner friendly. Still, once things are running, it’s super convenient. It just takes a little patience to get everything dialed in.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It saves me so much time by taking care of those repetitive tasks I used to do over and over every day. Instead of constantly recreating the same steps or double-checking small things, Automate just handles it in the background so I can focus on the stuff that actually needs my attention. It’s like having a quiet assistant that keeps things moving without needing reminders. Honestly, it’s made my workflow smoother and my days a lot less stressful,

 ### 14. Simplifying Complex Tasks with Powerful Workflow Control

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tarun S. | Software QA Engineer, Computer Software, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

It has lot of amazing features but I like the most is it helping us to streamline repetitive task without writing the code as it drag and drop interface with lot of built in action make it simple to create workflow quickly and saves our lot of time and the automate recorder feature is just amazing as they record user activities like mouse click and keystrokes that is helping us to building the accurate automation. It support both ui and api level automation along with that Its credential vault and audit logs ensure workflows are secure and well-tracked. With built-in triggers and error handling, tasks run smoothly even if something goes wrong.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

It's a well design and secure platform nothing to dislike with using this software.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving our major problem of time consuming and error prone manual tasks in our business process also It uses task builders with drag and drop actions to automate things like file transfers, report generation, data entry, and user account setup along with that it's automate recorder feature helping us to capture user actions helping replicate repetitive action also Its load balancing feature ensures workflows run efficiently across multiple machines, even during high usage along with that it's scheduling feature allowing tasks to run at its specified time. Overall it reduces manual work, increases speed, and keeps processes consistent.

 ### 15. Used Automate for 12 Years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Margaret T. | IT Business Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Automate makes it easy to create scheduled jobs that can pull data from disparate systems. It can do basic programming for you without much understanding of code but also can be used more advanced coding skills to more in depth programming.

Customer service is excellent and they will always try to assist in whatever goal you are working towards.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

When you query a data source it creates a data set in the job. I would like to be able to create multiple datasets from different sources and being to query against both data sets in the system. Instead I need to loop through the first data set and query the second source to get all the information.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have multiple sources of data that for security reason must remain separated. It allows me to audit both sides of the integration to ensure data integrity is maintained.

 ### 16. Automate has been incredibly useful to my organization.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer T. | Senior Director of Data Processing., Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I haven't found a process I couldn't improve. It has the ability to run scripts, so if I do not have an automate action to use, I can just implement a script. I appreciate that I can standardize my processes through workflow, so my people do not have to look up the details....the workflow can handle it.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I wish the Microsoft functionality was expanded to Word and PowerPoint. I have a lot of reports and mail merges....That we execute and I had to write scripts. It is easier for my staff to understand the automate actions, versus scripts.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I haven't had to add an employee in 10 years. I started with three, was able to re purpose one for a couple of years....Still only have three.
I have branched out to other departments as well.

**Official Response from Katie Thompson:**

> Thanks for the awesome review! We appreciate your feedback. We’re glad our solution is helping your organization to better improve your automation needs. - Some of the modules in Automate like FTP doesn't get security updates which are essential for developers to keep using these features in older versions of Automate.
- Ignoring backward compatibility of the product when AUtoamte vendor developed new versions, this force us to stuck in the sane version and not able to upgrade without significant man hours.
- Even after paying for product and support for older versions, the only support we get is customer support answering and suggesting us to follow work arounds, as this is not significant enough for their dev team to provide a fix on investigate for.
- Inconsistency of auto login between versions of windows always puzzled us.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Automate is used for solving some ftp file upload automations
- Interacting with legacy thick clients on VM's.

 ### 19. Automate RPA really saved us hours by handling all those mind-numbing data entries

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rolando M. | Site reliability engineer, Industrial Automation, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I also like the ease of usage of the drag and drop interface of Automate Robotic Process Automation. It enabled us to develop elaborate workflows that are much easier even to our non technical employees. As an example, in a matter of seconds, we could extract data out of the legacy systems, without any coding. Another huge plus on our part is its ability to handle errors. Our bots could now graciously handle an undesirable pop up or slowness of systems. This implies less manual operation and this is excellent.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The first thing that can be improved is the steep learning curve of more advanced functionality. Some time is required to learn all the complex settings. In some cases, it can be also a bit difficult to fix difficult problems. Good documentation but the debugger would use a bit of interaction. Small organizations that need to expand rapidly in terms of prices, may also meet some form of a challenge.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Robotic Process Automation is largely answering our huge issue of tediousness of repetitive manual data input. We used to spend countless hours every week transferring data between different systems and before finding ourselves using it. This was so dragging, prone to errors and to be honest a very demoralizing process to everyone involved. The software now automatically can do all that grunt work overnight. We no longer have our staff doing repetitive tasks which numbing their brains. They will be able to devote time on more strategic and interesting activities. This has enhanced productivity as well as general job liking to a great extent.

 ### 20. Data entry automated, big relief

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jonathan C. | Business Transformation Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

What I personally like about Automate is that, despite being basically a drag-and-drop graphical program in which you write automation flows, somehow, it is extremely developer-friendly, non-developer-friendly, as well. It means that any person within my team will be able to create a new bot and release it within a jiffy without possessing much expertise in coding. In addition, the library of actions (ready-made modules) is very voluminous and it will be possible to reduce the problem of automation of complex Excel report generation or data search on web pages to the process of assemblies of those that are. The fact that it does not need monitoring of activities to carry out the duties and activities that have been assigned on time is also an added advantage.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I will be honest and say that the only thing that I dislike about it is that even though simple automation is easy to do, a little more complex and unique application integrations do still require some learning process to be posed to blend well. Tracing complex workflows can be more taxing than many may expect especially when the unexpected pop-ups or web dynamic elements are involved.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation of Robotic Process Automation eliminates the issue of tedious tasks such as data processing and making reports, which took several days or even months. My department was wasting a lot of time gathering financial reports across disparate systems which caused human errors and made it time-consuming to analyse. Automate has now automated this work and does it overnight without human involvement. We are supplied with the correct reports every morning which enables us to concentrate on decision making and analysis and not on the slow process of data typing. This shift has enhanced our productivity and job satisfaction in a significant manner.

 ### 21. Intuitive Low-Code Platform That Streamlines Workflow Automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Drishti C. | Senior data Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

This platform offers an intuitive, low-code interface that simplifies the process of building, modifying, and deploying workflows efficiently. Its dependable performance and smooth integration with existing systems greatly minimize the need for manual work.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I dislike that Automate can feel rigid at times, certain customizations require workarounds, and advanced configurations aren’t always intuitive.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate® centralizes and standardizes our workflows, which helps reduce inconsistencies between teams and tools. The resulting clarity and automation have improved productivity and ensured smoother cross-functional operations.

**Official Response from Morgan Celley:**

> Hi Drishti, thank you for sharing your experience! I’m glad to hear the low-code interface and integrations have simplified your workflows and reduced manual work. We hear you on the rigidity and customizations, and we’re continuously working to make advanced configurations more intuitive. Your feedback is truly appreciated!

 ### 22. Fortra Automate - I like the concept, but each new release brings new problems

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edward C. | RPA (Robotic Process Automation) Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

It is easy to learn and begin to use. However with the later updates, it becomes increasingly more difficult to use because you have to work around issues with the web browser actions.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I do not like that it does not have a cloud hosting option. It would be fantastic to give people that option if they were to want that. Also, cloud hosting makes it really easy to test out all the features. Having self-service trials on a cloud hosted version would be a lot easier for people to try it out and see how it works.

The big thing lately for us is that Automate is constantly breaking current functionality when it comes to the web browser actions. If you are not using these, you will likely love the product.. But web browser actions doing what you tell them to do is critical for our business use case

Support seemed great at first, but that was due to working with some bad vendors in the past. Now that I have taken a deep dive into support, I've learned that the customer facing support team is fantastic, but nothing seems to happen once things get escalated in terms of the bugs I'm finding. They'll make a hotfix that fixes the one singular issue that I point out, however it may or may not make it into the next release. At one point they made a hotfix and said that it was just for our company's use with the way we use Automate, even though this was in fact was a change they made that broke existing functionality of the web browser actions..

I've also accidentally been tagged in email threads for similar escalated support issues with other companies by senior staff.

Again, first line support has been great, but once a ticket gets escalated and deep in the weeds, there's not been much help other than hotfixes that do not resolve the root issue of releasing changes without properly testing that they do not break existing functionality.

Because of these issues, we have attempted to upgrade from 11.6 to 11.7 (which horribly failed and 11.7 subsequently got pulled and re-released). Then we were testing 22.1 which also got re-released as 22.1.1. Initially we could not upgrade to 22.1.1, but after rebuilding one of our big processes entirely, we were able to get it to work with 22.1.1 and work around the issues that this update has with performance on the execution server.

23.1 was a dumpster fire of broken web browser actions that I very quickly identified bugs on using public-facing websites. 24.1 fixed a few of those, but left some bugs still standing, and broke some new things with web browser actions.

In short, I've been working with Autoamte on escalated tickets for a couple years now. Half of our environment is on 22.1.1 and the other half is on 11.6

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate is cheap and allows us to build automation pretty quick. However long-term we are seeing massive issues with scalability as our execution server can not handle the amount of automation we need to run.

 ### 23. No-Code Automation Scripts Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

The ability to create automated scripts without the need to understand how to write code

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

How many times it has been sold since I first began using it while it was version 3

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was able to automate over 2,500 nightly reports my company used on a daily basis.

**Official Response from Morgan Celley:**

> Hi, thank you for sharing! I’m glad the no-code scripting has been so helpful, and it’s impressive that you’ve automated thousands of reports! I hear your frustration with the ownership changes, and I appreciate you sticking with us through all those versions!

 ### 24. We finally have the opportunity to focus on what truly matters

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matteo B. | Senior RPA Developer, Printing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

What I like best about Automate Robotic Process Automation is how easy it is to build workflows without needing to code. I’ve used it to automate repetitive tasks like report generation and data entry between Excel and our ERP system. It integrates smoothly with Outlook too, so we’ve got bots pulling attachments and filing them correctly without lifting a finger. It’s saved us a lot of manual work and reduced small errors that used to slip through.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I would say what I dislike about Automate RPA is that it does not always do system updates well. Our bots stopped working a few times after an OS or app update then reconfigured parts of the workflow. Additionally, some deeper integration options between those platforms we use in the web and how far we can go with automation are also missing. At times it’s created extra work, because we wanted the bot to do the job in its entirety.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automate RPA is solving the problem of wasted time on low-value, repetitive tasks. It’s freed up a lot of time for our finance and admin teams by automating things like invoice sorting, report scheduling, and data syncing. It’s helped us become more consistent and reduced the number of human errors. Colleagues are definitely happier not having to do the same tasks over and over again. Overall, it’s improved both our speed and accuracy across departments.

 ### 25. Our team's efficiency has really taken off, and it's amazing to see

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rosina B. | RPA Developer, Renewables & Environment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

The ability of Automate to execute repetitive tasks makes the solution highly advantageous. The automation system saves time for essential tasks because it performs data entry work automatically. The system links effortlessly with various programs so users experience uninterrupted information exchange. The system features a simple drag-and-drop interface that makes it usable by users with minimal technical experience. Each team member can handle automation workflows on their own through this capability which enhances operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

Novice users will encounter a challenging level of difficulty during their learning process. Learning all available features of the interface and becoming accustomed to it requires some time. The pricing system is difficult to understand because costs rise along with the number of bots or increased usage. Troubleshooting problems becomes challenging because the provided support documentation does not provide enough detailed information.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The software addresses the performance problems that result from manual repetition in tasks. The majority of our team time used to be dedicated to manual data entry combined with general administrative tasks. These manual tasks have become automated which enables our team to concentrate on advanced and important work. The change has led to higher productivity together with decreased errors. The invoice processing system that used to take days now completes each task in fewer hours which speeds up payment cycles and improves financial cash flow. Automated processes in the system result in enhanced accuracy because they contain fewer mistakes made by human operators.

 ### 26. Automate will automate your business needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lance A. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I like the fact that you are able to automate ev erything from invoices to more complicated workloads

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

No problems as of yet, have not run into any recurring issues

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We generate and process dozens of invoices a day and this simple platform enables automatic ease with this situation, saving hours of work.

 ### 27. A solid solution for task automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary M. | Business systems analyst, Logistics and Supply Chain, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I am happy Automate Robotic Process Automation is taking care of repetitive work and freeing us of that. We’ve automated the data transfer across teams in the way that won’t need extra efforts to make sure it’s accurate. What sets it apart from other GPS and GLONASS automotive solutions is its capability to respond to specific triggers and not require constant over site. On the contrary, error detection keeps us ahead of the game: from detecting and preventing problems before they cause any significant problems.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The only disadvantage of Automate Robotic Process Automation is that some tasks consume more system resources than expected so it affects performance now and then. One case of bailing out is running multiple workflows at the same time which may slow down other operations. Some processes are not always restarted after interruptions and require manual resets. Due to these challenges, we have to make sure that we are handling our schedules dexterously and avaricious in order not to have unexpected delays of the execution of a task.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problem of repetitive, slow down the productivity tasks has been solved by Automate the Robotic Process Automation. Instead of doing this manually we now have processes for us to be able to do this quickly and accurately. It also reduces the likelihood of failing to turn off or forgotten tasks which would occur if we did not have a repetition. Thus, by offloading routine work to automation, the team has more time to work on the problems and decisions the projects require.

 ### 28. Our data entry errors have dropped significantly and it's a huge weight off our shoulders

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberto M. | Automation specialist, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

The bot builder component of Automate provides an intuitive interface that enables people without technical background to implement complex workflow solutions. The integration capabilities between Automate and CRM and ERP applications represent a fundamental business advancement. The implementation of automation eliminated our data entry process duration from extended hours into short minutes. The analytics features enable us to find operational obstacles while we also enhance productivity through their analysis capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The overwhelming number of customization options makes starting the application feel complex. The software would benefit users if more basic-level tutorial videos were added to the system. The response time of customer support can become lengthy during busy periods which creates inconvenience for users trying to solve problems. The software requires significant computer resources so users need to verify their system meets the requirements.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The team operated with excessive manual labor on uninteresting operations such as data entry and report generation before implementing Automate. The process used to run slowly while also being vulnerable to mistakes during execution. Automate now manages our processes that used to consume resources but allows our team members to work on critical activities. The sales team now dedicates more time to client interactions because Automate eliminates the need for manual customer record updates. The system update delivered better productivity rates and decreased mistakes to boost organization efficiency and customer contentment.

 ### 29. Reliable task automation that reduces manual workload

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ada H. | Supply Chain Analyst, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

One that I really like about Automate Robotic Process Automation is that it runs unattended tasks reliably. And it has made it possible for us to dispose of repetitive manual work such as processing invoices and scheduling data transfers. According to me because we can schedule tasks run at some time without fear. Additionally, it has made things more consistent along workflows, so that mistakes occur less as tasks are done manually. It’s been all around an easy way to optimize the day to day processes.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The main problem I face with Automate Robotic Process Automation is that error resolution becomes hard to handle. The system logs do not show complete details so we must guess what failed. Our workflow accuracy depends on fixing errors which takes longer than expected. New updates sometimes contain bugs that make us change our working processes that used to work without problems. Our work progress slows down when we need fast outcomes because of these problems.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our team saves time from performing manual tasks that bring no value because of Automate Robotic Process Automation. The system performs regular tasks such as document handling and data input which frees up our time by several hours per week. Now our team can dedicate itself to important work because Automate Robotic Process Automation handles administrative tasks. Automate has made tasks take less human work while producing fewer errors in a more efficient workplace. Our team performs better daily tasks thanks to this system.

 ### 30. A reliable way to reduce manual workload

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beata A. | Finance operations manager, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

What I like about Automate Robotic Process Automation is that it is dependable enough to do routine tasks without constant supervision. We have used it extensively to process invoices and update the records, thus reducing the chances of mistakes. The system is also responsive on specific triggers providing it with more of a workflow. It helps my team to focus on major chunks, by having less manual steps in the process happening on a day to day basis.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The problem with Automate Robotic Process Automation is that it can be a time consuming process to troubleshoot errors. The system is not always clear what went wrong when an execution of a workflow fails. Additionally, some processes use more system resources than expected, slowing down other applications that are running along side it. On occasion this has led to delays in task execution, and thus extra attention to prevent an interruption of our automated workflows.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As we were able to cut down on tedious manual work that slowed us down, we chose Automate Robotic Process Automation. Entry of customer orders or records maintaining has been made into completely automated tasks so that mistakes are avoided and time saved. This has helped overall accuracy and consistency a lot. Since these tasks are now run without human involvement, our team can now focus on more important tasks rather than repetitive data entry.

 ### 31. No more losing client info halfway through projects

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin B. | Workflow Automation Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Automate Robotic provides automation for our data entry responsibilities which I really enjoy. The reporting feature enables us to save three hours of work each week. The system generates excellent reports which clients receive without hassle. Software works smoothly with all our current tools without any problems. It runs all tasks without causing any trouble. The automation system works well for maintaining recurring operations including spreadsheet updates and email distribution. It functions like an additional set of hands which maintains unlimited energy.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The occasional time lag in data synchronization proves to be annoying to users. During the same period as last week our sales data required excessive time for synchronization and we had to perform manual verification of each entry. Such situations create an annoying experience for users. Our app sometimes fails unexpectedly while requiring us to start the operation from scratch. Being in an important task causes frustration when your system freezes in the middle of your work.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before the approval process took up extensive time dedicated to sending email requests. Now, it’s instant. The workflow system requires basic setup and afterward the entire process operates automatically. This platform brings substantial improvements to our team operations. Data inconsistencies served as one large organizational issue within our operation. A single data set was used by multiple departments through different versions thus creating significant misunderstandings. Automate provides the ability for our organization to see everything from a united perspective. Using Automate as our central data hub made our workflow operations streamlined while serving as a main center for all our information.

 ### 32. Achieve consistent output with every process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nawel A. | Data entry automation analyst, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Automate RPA provides excellent service for completing tasks effectively. The software transforms our data entry operations by freeing up at least five hours of work each week. Automate RPA offers impressive automation features that prove especially useful when we process data during month-end closing. The software provides an advanced reporting system which enables us to monitor automated process performance effectively.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The real-time data synchronization in Automate RPA creates occasional frustration because it does not function smoothly. Temporary confusion occurred because the software failed to immediately update task statuses. The app occasionally freezes when users switch tabs rapidly but users need to perform a manual refresh to fix the problem.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The implementation of RPA Automate has substantially reduced our employee workload through its capability to execute repetitive time-consuming procedures. The team spent numerous hours on manual data entry before software implementation because human errors frequently occurred during this process. The implementation of RPA software results in faster task completion while simultaneously reducing errors to a minimum level. Automate RPA delivers instant approval processes that save our team time for strategic work. The software plays a key role in improving both our productivity levels and operational efficiency.

 ### 36. Excellent Automation Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Honestly, there is no limit to how much processes you can automate using this software. Once you have your logic clear, you can reduce so many of the monotonous task and even automate the most complex of tasks.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I believe there is a learning curve, and the resources to understand the AML language is sparse. I would recommend the manual to be improved, for there to be maybe workshops and possible use case tutorials to help new comers.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We automate a lot of our most repetitive task like file sharing, bulk encrypting, bulk decrypting etc.

 ### 37. An awesome RPA Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Edson O. | Development Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I had been develop RPA bots using Automate for the last 17 years (since 2007). I developed literally more than 1k RPA Bots with Automate for banks companies (dozens), pharma companies, etc.I started using Automate6 and with the time I migrated to BPA 7, 8.. and now is Automate 2023.

Many things have changed and believe me a lot for better since Automate6. It´s awesome RPA tool and I'm grate of the work that I made with our customers with this software and my customers are happy with what we did and the capacities of Automate.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

But, it´s sad to say that have some critical points that affect negatively the presentation of Automate. It´s practically impossible for potential customers get a trial version of this tool, and because that other tools (and believe me I needed to test a lot of RPA tools UiPath, AutomationAnywhere, Britty, Kofax, Power Automate, Blue Prism, Python, etc) are more accessible for tests and for consequence it´s eligible as main choice of the customers.Everybody in this market that I talk have the impression that Fortra keep all the focus on their Security Tools and Automate is only one more accessory to make volume to show for the companies.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Problem: Create bots for the customers.
Benefit: The learning curve it´s nice (ease to use), have a lot of actions and it´s ease to reuse code.

 ### 38. Automate by Fortra is outstanding!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jerry A. | Owner, Independent Contractor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 19, 2020

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I read a lot about the "big three" in the RPA space. I just want everyone one to know, that there is actually the "big four" - and Automate by Fortra is in that category.

Automate is extremely easy to use. The interface is very intuitive and the software has so many actions. It really is: drag, drop, configure, automate! It also provide the ability to use custom code if needed.

The support is by far, the best I have dealt with and the price point beats its competition by a lot.

I've used Automate in 2 different hospitals now. In both cases, it handled all of our automation needs.

I highly recommend Automate by Fortra for enterprise RPA.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I have no dislikes. Any issues are resolved.

**Recommendations to others considering Automate®:**

I recommend giving this product a good look and compare pricing and features. If support is important to you, then Automate is the right choice.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We do all of our ELT (extract, load, transform) work and file delivery through Automate now. We also do a fair share of interacting with our financial system in the way of posting charges, etc. We also use it to send SMS messages based on specific database values/scenarios. We currently have close to 300 automated processes in production.

The ability to acquire data, wherever it is and however it is stored, allows us to leverage data for strategic initiatives and actionable, secure browser-based reporting tools, dashboards and workflows.

 ### 39. Flexible and Reliable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrius S. | IT Processes and IT Support specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

We been running our server automations with Automate solution for more than 10 years and it's been very stable all this time. Easy to use and build simple scheduled tasks, automations of much higher complexity are possible to set up but there is a learning curve. Very responsive and helpful Customer support.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

Not much to dislike, maybe just a learning curve for building more elaborate setups.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stable scheduled tasks that requires higher degree of functionality than is offered by MS Task Scheduler.

 ### 40. Automate - Employee of the Year

Ability to print and run reports without the need of staff to do so. Saves lots of time.

 ### 41. Migration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2024

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

We have been using Automate for many years and it was time to upgrade due to server upgrade. It was a simple process to migrate from Automate BPA10 to Automate Plus 2023. We got very good help from Fortra's technical consultant. I would certainly recommend drawing up an agreement on technical support when doing a migration of this magnitude. It will make migration faster and significantly easier. After migration, Automate 2023 has behaved both better and more stable than the previous version. We have significantly fewer incidents after upgrading, which means less monitoring and more efficiency in the organization.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

We have not experienced anything particularly negative about Automate Plus

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Billy V. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Automate handles our workload with ease. It is loaded with features, and what it does it does well. It is able to meet the majority of our automation needs. The learning curve for the task builder is not so steep that new users are intimated by the automation process. That being said, there are enough features that it will take a considerable amount of time for an experienced user to master the application.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

The issues that I have with Automate are mostly with the UI. The workflow designer can be buggy. For example, if you have multiple displays and any one of them is set to scale differently than the others then the designer doesn't work (where an object icon appears on your screen and where you have to click to select it are not the same). Not being able to manually adjust the elbows in the arrows is super frustrating.
Other features don't work as you might intuitively expect them too (e.g. if a task in a workflow is set to end and mark as aborted when a certain condition is not met the workflow treats that as the task completing successfully, which fires the next task in the workflow). You learn the quirks, and you can — for the most part — make adjustments to account for them.
The most impactful issues are few and far between, but can have big consequences when they don't work properly. The big one that comes to mind is when the file monitor gets hung up and doesn't recognize when a trigger file is created. This can throw off a number of processes, and is more difficult to implement error handling in the tasks and workflows to account for it.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have over 300 tasks running with Automate. Most of what we use it for is file management. Files that are generated by our core system are processed instantly, throughout the day, every day. This saves thousands of employee hours every year.

 ### 47. Our key to unlocking RPA efficiencies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

HelpSystems provides great support and great training to ensure you can hit the ground running and meet all of your RPA goals. Automate is a very easy to use, low-code/no-code solution for RPA. The user interface is laid out very well and in such a way that finding the actions that you need, in order to complete an automation, is a very easy process. Automate also provides you with a large catalog of actions. The actions are the tools you need in order to get a job done. Having a large selection of actions (tools) makes getting the job done that much easier and efficient.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

HelpSystems is constantly working to better their products, specifically Automate. Being said, there are a few instances where you may find yourself automating a process in 100 steps that could have really been accomplished in 50 steps. The fluidity, maturity, and integrations of some of the "actions", within Automate, are a bit lacking. Within an action, you can configure mutiple settings, manipulate data, etc. Within a lot of these actions, HelpSystems uses names, terms, and phrases that are specific to the product. Finding information on these settings, within an action, can sometimes be difficult. In most cases, you may end up having to test out each setting to truly figure out what it does and how it works.

**Recommendations to others considering Automate®:**

As with any product you or your company are looking to purchase, demoing the product is critical. I definitely reccomend downloadind the demo version of Automate and getting your hands dirty, before you purchase. Doing so will ensure Automate is going to meet all of your needs and that you are going to be comfortable with the product. Additionally, I highly suggesting purchasing one of the training packages, through HelpSystems. You are able to purchase a set of hours, specifically dedicated to one-on-one training with a certified HelpSystems Automate expert. The training hours we purchased have proven to be incredibly valuable and have helped us to ensure a successful rollout of Automate RPA. The training hours have also been useful for any questions and/or issues we've had while building RPA workflows.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our industry, we have end-users performing repetative tasks 9-5, Monday through Friday. RPA, specifically Automate, has allowed us to be able to automate many of these repetative tasks. This has allowed our end users to place their focus elsewhere and accomplish more in the day-to-day. Our time to delivery has also greatly decreased. Where a process may have taken one week to accomplish manually, Automate is able to accomplish the same task in a matter of minutes.

**Official Response from Ravi Dirckze:**

 ### 48. Automate away the Manual tasks between cloud and on-premises

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2020

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Very user friendly; using it for a long time, never or very little tweaks to the earlier tasks to maintain. Automation makes their product also automatically compatible with the new updates and fixes. What more we can ask. Once the templates are created, they can be used for similar tasks at ease.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

Very hard to dislike, if you see what I like the best, as most of the software fails because of so many external factors, but this product nailed it.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently we are using cloud and on-premises applications ; in a hybrid world we need to transfer data both ways. This tools covers both secured and un-secured processes seamlessly. File transfer between our remote offices and internal servers are a big plus. Emails for process validation is very vital and helping us for the manual actions if needed.

 ### 49. RPA without Code

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason C. | RPA Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 18, 2021

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

I love that you can build complex RPA tasks without having to have coding experience. We've built simple email processing tasks to more complex interactive tasks that use multiple legacy applications and input data into each saving us Hours per day.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

Forums have gotten a lot better in the last couple of years but could still use some better search funcionality. Search bar covers every product then you choose yours.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're doing quite a bit with Automate...
-Email Processing for AP Invoices
-Editing data files received and updating SQL match and merge tables
-Uploading, downloading files to SFTP sites.
-Generating reports for in house use and external customer use
-General IT functions monitorning machines, reading error logs and emailing appropriate persons, cleaning old files/folders from servers.
-Scraping data from websites and emailing appropriate people.
-Decoding JSon Files

We're saving Hundreds of hours per day by having Automate do these things instead of several employees

 ### 50. Automate is your best Automation Friend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Larry M. | Network Administrator, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Automate®?**

Simply the BEST automated process software on the market, The absolute ease in creatine automated processes; from Email lists to complicated project steps it's all easy to do. The Support team is phenomenal, and friendly, and takes ownership of any issues you may have. Response time is virtually instant.

**What do you dislike about Automate®?**

I wish I knew about Automate sooner, it certainly would have saved me hundreds of hours of time. I use to do complex processes manually before I learned how to Automate them.

**What problems is Automate® solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an extremely complicated Pricing Matrix that utilizes steps in Excel, Access, and SQL plus uploading the final pricing results for each customer to our Epicor ERP system. These steps use to take about two hours with the aid of many macros. Now the process runs in a seamless process that requires a minimum of manual inputs and completes the process in around 15 minutes, including sending the customer emails.

**Official Response from Katie Thompson:**

> Thanks for the 5-star review of Automate! It’s great to see you're enjoying the ease of creating automated processes. We're also ecstatic to hear you've had a lovely experience with our support team thus far. If you ever need additional assistance you know where to find us!
