What do you like best about AuthN by IDEE?

As a IT service provider for SMEs, I saw that traditional MFA, although important, didn't remove the risk of account take over (ATO) for our clients.

After researching various solutions, to meet budget requirements, and in order to minimise dependence on hardware security keys (and the associated risks) while providing proven security, we were very happy to find the solution IDEE offer.

It's straight forward to implement and their support are on hand for any specific requests (if you ever need them).

We are even considering bundling this product in with our standard service offerings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?

IDEE are a smaller team, which could be seen as a risk. However, it can also be a benefit - they're agile. As they are addressing a serious gap in the market and offer methods to provide resilience , I'm not too worried (their use of Blockchain to remove dependency on their infrastructure in one example).

It would be great to see them build traction and scale up to keep improving their products and resilience Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AuthN by IDEE solving and how is that benefiting you?

Much more effective security and protection against phishing attacks, other forms of account take over, and Adversary in The Middle (AiTM) attacks.

Doesn't require other devices to achieve the same level of security. Your team don't need to use their smartphones or be given hardware key(s), which gets very expensive very quickly!

Accessible price point. Other large and widely recognised vendors have a minimum commitment, and remain costly, making them too expensive for many SME's budget requirements.

Simple to implement/integrate. It's easy to set up and integrate to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace or Okta, as well as other applications using well supported protocols or standards. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AuthN by IDEE?

As we all know user credentials and accounts are the main focus of cyber attacks. Everyone is talking about MFA, but it is often forgotten that the classic MFA solutions using push, OTP, SMS, etc. are not phishing-proof. AuhtN by IDEE has solved this issue perfectly and provides a phishing-proof MFA solution.

In addition to the pure MFA function, it is also easy for the user, because the introduction of AuthN by IDEE also eliminates the annoying work with long passwords that must be constantly changed.

All in all, a clear recommendation if you are serious about protecting your users' accounts against phishing and password hashing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?

In special situations, I miss some features. But most of the time the user's voice gets heard and the features are added continuously. So I'm pretty sure that the very young product will get better and better over the time from a feature perspective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AuthN by IDEE?

What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?

You sometimes have to work with the access key for new users when they register with Outlook for the first time (e.g.). Unfortunately, it does not work without the administrator if the user does not have a mobile device. But there is a balancing act between security and user-friendliness. Of course, safety comes first here.

Recent experience: If you have to re-register in GeTIDEE, it is often difficult for the user to understand why. It is also difficult to understand why there have to be several runs. You need a lot of patience to get to your goal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

No more passwords are needed for all applications accessing office.com. This also reduces the risk of phishing emails that spy on the access data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One more tip, Thomas. If the user already has access to their mailbox, they can setup Web-AuthN or AuthN (app) without any help from the admin. Or the other option is to use the certificate on the device that also does not require any help from the admin and is self-service. Here is the link too certificate based enrollment or CBE.

What do you like best about AuthN by IDEE?

I found it very easy to deploy the solution, love the fact that the product doesn't hold any PII data, and the most amazing is I don't need to worry about passwords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about AuthN by IDEE?

The implementation and the following processes are quick and easy to understand. Very easy setup for the end user or admin on the devices. After that, the end user will not notice that they are using MFA.

What do you like best about AuthN by IDEE?

IDEE is easy and quick to set up. Easy for everyone to use. Setting up for Microsoft Online didn't even take me 15 minutes. Prepare everything as an admin and then let the users go through the 8 steps and everyone is happy.

Further setup for VPN and EAP is still to come. But it looks just as simple as the first integration.

Additional devices are easy to integrate. Go to log in with the first notebook and then when the IDEE prompt comes up, simply select the "additional devices" option at the bottom. Scan the QR code with the other device and security check and off you go.

What do you dislike about AuthN by IDEE?

I haven't been able to find anything so far and I don't think I will find anything else. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is AuthN by IDEE solving and how is that benefiting you?

Secure authentication and consistent login. If after logging in, the IDEA and the biometric/PIN prompt do not appear, then something is wrong :) That is then simple for every user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
