Since 2012, Apteryx has been providing customers with a solution that allows for image storage in the cloud and on office servers. Product Description

Apteryx Imaging is an unmodifiable, secure, imaging format that exports image file formats including TIFF and JPEG for for universal viewing.

How do you position yourself against your competitors?

Our hybrid model allows dental practices of all sizes, from private practices to large DSOs, to have the best of both worlds. Not only can they store images in the cloud, but they can also store images on their own servers.

Apteryx is one of the few open-architecture imaging software solutions on the market, which means that it can work with almost any major sensor brand that the dental practice already has at their office.

For private practices, this means that there isn’t a huge expense when switching to Apteryx XVWeb. For DSOs, this means that when acquiring new locations, whatever sensors are already at those locations are fine to stay and will most likely work with XVWeb.

In addition, Apteryx XVWeb has the rare claims of being built on the DICOM standard, has an optional 3D viewer and the ability to upload and manipulate CBCT files.

What do you like best about Apteryx Imaging?

mistake, i wish i never got involved with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apteryx Imaging?

Advertised a single solution for imaging and then "sunsetted" their imaging software. Advertised hardware to support sensors and software, which were not appropriate and had to be repurchased. This company is a joke, don't trust your patients with them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apteryx Imaging solving and how is that benefiting you?

They offered to charge me for a new software to replace the one they just sold me. Thanks, for screwing me and then asking for more money. Avoid these jokers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Sherwin Querubin of Apteryx Imaging

Peter, we understand the frustration that comes with having to update software. I believe you are speaking about our on-premise solution you purchased 4 years ago. As we continue to improve and enhance our offering, cloud-based software is the most secure, efficient, and cost-saving solution, and therefore we are focusing our efforts on our cloud-based solution, Apteryx XVWeb Cloud Imaging, and moving away from the on-premise solutions.

What do you like best about Apteryx Imaging?

That it is compatible with most dental software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Apteryx Imaging?

Contacting for help is very time-consuming, especially when you have a patient in the chair and your software isn't working. Also, when purchasing updated software it doesn't work correctly so they postpone GO LIVE's until a fix can be in place and it takes 8 months to GO LIVE and you already paid them the fee for the new software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Apteryx Imaging solving and how is that benefiting you?

We went throught our 2nd training session for XV web and the trainer suggested us to postpone final conversion because the software was not allowing us to retake images. This is our 2nd reschedule of conversion. So we were just rescheduling again. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
