We've been working with Applitools for over 5 years and honestly, it's been a complete joy. Their tools are easy to use and easy to implement into the existing automation flow.
The best thing about Applitools is that they are here to help You - not just sell You a product or upsell You or whatever. Everything they do is with the customer (being You) in mind - and help You in any way possible to achieve your testing needs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's really hard to point out some negatives but I'd mention two.
The site can sometimes be a bit sluggish, especially on a slower connection and/or a slower computer. But that's rarely an issue.
Also, maintenance can take some time until you get into the flow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The shallow learning curve for initially implementing it.
Typically QAs have less experience working with code and less time to learn. this can make starting a proof of concept or just integrating a plugin into an existinging framework prohibitively expensive in terms of time.
With Applitools we've found that its been easy to integrate with our automation framework. The majority of the work was very straightforward and required little more than than the read me that comes with the package. Where we got stuck the online documentation and helpful engineers helped us get back on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The way errors are returned in hooks can be troublesome when creating automated reports. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We setup Applitools using the Cypress SDK, and the best part about Applitools is getting confidence that if we introduce unintended changes, those are found right away. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There have been a few times that we've seen an issue with snapshot quality (these were already fixed in a newer update of the SDK). The only other thing we disliked is there wasn't built in support for Azure DevOps Server on the pipelines, but this feature is now available and getting updates. I found people keep using this tool the wrong way. This is a powerful collaboration tool for Engineers, designers and product people to understand how customers experience their applications and product.
Personally, I find the best way to leverage this tool is by using it as a conversation icebreaker to explore the various challenges different customers may encounter, particularly when using different browsers and mobile devices.
I absolutely love this tool!
It allows me to manage the precision required for validation, and I'm also thrilled about its new self-healing capability for cloud runners. This feature takes the user experience to a whole new level, ensuring smooth operations and minimising disruptions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I find the branch and baseline functionality can be a bit confusing, especially for non-technical people in the organisation.
I do not have a solution and recommendation, but it might be a good idea to review again with the UX teams and get feedback from different customers if this is helping them or not. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Applitools is a very mature, widely comprehensive tool. It is very powerful and at the same time very easy to use for everyone via the GUI. So even QA engineers with less programming knowledge can easily work with it. The given functionalities are very well thought out and easy to use.
In addition, there is an excellent, fast support. One has a dedicated contact person who responds immediately within a few hours. At the same time, they offer support for realizing your own projects based on Applitools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Applitools is quite an expensive tool in comparison, which of course comes with the power of the tool. It would be desirable to have a package that is structured differently for large companies with many required accesses, so that you do not have to pay per account. This makes it somewhat unattractive for a large company to roll out the full power of the tool across the entire company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

See how Applitools improvedApplitools is an extremely sophisticated organization who understands the testing world and the limitations that a lot of the product offerings today lack. They have an incredible suite of tools that enable one to be sure of any differences that may occur for anything that you're testing. We've recently done a slack channel integration with their time and they've been beyond helpful in helping me understand best practices with their software and with what I was building. Having an organization that supports testing efforts and that can be leveraged as a third party for additional questions and troubleshooting is immensely helpful. Honestly the only dislike I would have about Applitools is that some of their documentation online is out of date and thankfully because we have the slack integration with their team, I'm able to get better more up to date information that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to find. With a company as large as theirs with as many product offerings they have, it can be difficult to always stay on top of documentation, but when there is only one resource to follow and that resource is wrong or out-dated it can be frustrating during the development process. Particularly when compared to other testing techniques that I have tried in the past, the use of screenshots and image comparison technology ensures that all visual elements are being checked and validated, making it an effective tool for detecting and fixing visual bugs.
Other testing techniques I have tried in the past have not been able to provide the same level of accuracy and coverage when it comes to visual testing, leaving me frustrated and unsatisfied.
Applitools has proven to be a valuable addition to my development workflow, providing a unique and valuable service that addresses a need that is not met by any other testing techniques. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside of Applitools is its web interface, which is not as intuitive as it could be. Managing a large base of tests within the web interface can be challenging, it can become cluttered and difficult to navigate.
To mitigate this, it is recommended to integrate Applitools with a version control system like Github to control and manage your tests effectively, this allows for better organization, easier maintenance and versioning of tests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fully SAAS and compatible with most open source test automation frameworks and development languages, robust and reliable. Fits both web and mobile app testing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Cannot think of something specific. Product is great and fits all budget categories Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I want to emphasise how intuitive the application is and how easy it is to learn its various features. With this in mind and the straightforward integration of the tool into our infrastructure, we could quickly get efficient tests in both functional and time manners.
In addition, I would like to give big KUDOS and lots of appreciation to the customer success team that is always eager to answer our questions and concerns professionally and politely. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We noticed occasional false positives, but this is substantial to be mentioned as a dislike while using Applitools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
