Apliqo UX is an amazing frontend when needing to roll out a planning, reporting and analytics model that was developed within Planning Analytics/TM1. It has some amazing features that the standard out-of-the-box application from IBM does not meet. While Apliqo UX offers many strengths, there are a few areas that could pose challenges for Developers, particularly those who may not have a technical background.

Knowledge of TM1 Required. As a developer is that users need a solid understanding of TM1 to fully leverage the software’s capabilities.

A working knowledge of MDX (Multidimensional Expressions) wold be needed for advanced widgets. Developers who are not aware or know MDX may find it difficult to create the widgets that they desire.

Directly access to IBM PA/TM1 cube data, be able to use the native view, subset, dimension, attributes, without staging layer for data visualization and presetation.

Quick implemenation with lots of built-in templates, as well as great level of flexibility to further customize the look and feel for a better user experience. If you want to guide your users through specific steps, you can use a specific type of dashboard that helps users to perform certain tasks in the correct order. It is quite easy to implement dashboards and get started with Apliqo UX. The setup with your Planning Analytics model is a one-time task. I am using Apliqo UX on a daily basis.
