There's very little complexity yet plenty of functionality. If you use Route53 the DNS setup is simple and support for dmarc and SPF taken care of easily. Add journalling at no cost, various email flow tools, nifty mobile device management and we found the spam filters excellent. Set-up and use of Outlook as the client was good too. The web client is a bit clunky, perhaps no more than others I guess and it is functional. The biggest challenge is that you can get the Exchange equivalent for the same price. I prefer Workmail, but it might be hard to justify why you would not use the de facto standard. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Affordable, easy to setup, integrated with other AWS Services Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Two factor authentication not possible without Azure Active directoy (which is too expensive) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the main benefit of using Amazon WorkMail is that is very secure and unlikely to be infiltrated. We work with sensitive information that needs to be kept protected and Amazon WorkMail is a great option for that. We never have to worry about our conversations and information being breached. It is pretty difficult to integrate Amazon WorkMail with other devices like your phone or computer. When I added my WorkMail to my phone, which was a tricky process, I was forced to add a password to my device which I did not want to do. Adding WorkMail to my computer was also a lengthy and complicated process, which seemed a little excessive. I understand that security is a priority with Amazon WorkMail but several of the barriers to easy use have disrupted the ways I use my phone and computer and make it more difficult to access my email. perhaps the only noteworthy problem I had with Amazon workmail was to integrate it with some mail clients that had difficulty synchronizing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I really like Amazon Workmail because for SMEs it is a very comfortable solution, this tool allows me to use both the company directory and the application itself and migrate emails, work meetings or notes from the local server. Its platform is very simple to use, it is fast and meets all the basic needs that a corporate email should have. It's great that Outlook users can use Workmail from that platform using the same credentials. As for the security that this application has, it is very complete since it has a data encryption technology with SS technology, with this companies can perform a series of actions with a view to protecting their data, such as device locks or definition of requirements in security passwords. I do not like that many emails containing images are not displayed correctly, since more than once I have received images with redirection links and they are not seen correctly. Another negative point is the few languages that this platform has available, for example for Spanish-speaking users, the Spanish language is not available. Workmail does not have as many tools as those offered by other emails of the same competition, this means a disadvantage for this software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
A tool of amazon web services, has a different and simple interface, which only serves for email and calendar. Configuring is extremely easy and fast to do through the console of amazon web services. If they are implementing your solution in amazon's servers with route53, it updates the records automatically, so it makes the implementation work much easier. Really a simple application to send and receive emails. Its price is lower than its competitors so if you are implementing with aws is an option to send and receive mail. I think amazon workmail is very much behind other competitors like google suite or Microsoft Outlook. Its interface is complicated to understand, it doesn't present any kind of innovation and I really consider it to be a very mediocre tool. I have had problems to open emails, which do not load completely. Besides all this is not integrated with other applications, so it is a mail isolated from any other functionality. I find it tedious to have to open the mail from a specific link. I have tried to open by my phone and the interface is different, the emails do not open well, just this in the beta version so it does not have full functionality. really amazon has a long way to go. Amazon Web Services WorkMail is incredibly easy to set up and maintain given its enterprise grade mail features such as the inclusion of the Exchange protocol. It is also very simple to use, meaning end-users will have very few problems using the service, despite, most probably, having never used it before given its currently limited uptake. Furthermore, the pricing seems fair for what the service is - it's certainly not an absolute steal, but I wouldn't say that's overpriced by any means. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While delivering a solid and scalable enterprise email solution, Amazon Work Mail does not go above and beyond in the email world. It does indeed lack any degree of innovation, and does not seem to offer anything new compared with the existing market leaders in the hosted email industry. Having said that, this isn't necessarily a bad thing given its typical enterprise use where familiarity and stability is typically favoured over bleeding edge innovation. The interface, which is just like Amazon in that it's easy and intuitive. The responsive design makes it easy for me to stay on top of my mail on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
