What I like best about Altext.ai is how intuitive and easy it is to use. The platform simplifies the process of generating alt text, making it quick to get accurate, descriptive results. It’s a real time-saver, especially when managing large batches of images, and the AI does a great job of capturing relevant details without much tweaking. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing I dislike about Altext.ai is that sometimes the generated alt text can feel a bit generic or repetitive, especially with similar images. It would be great if there were more customization options to tweak descriptions on a larger scale or add a bit more variety without manually editing each one. AltText.ai has significantly streamlined our image SEO process, saving us time and enhancing website accessibility. The ability to automatically generate accurate and SEO-optimized alt texts for images in over 130 languages stands out the most, although I mainly make Dutch websites. This feature not only improves SEO rankings but also site accessibility, making it invaluable for our web design projects.

While AltText.ai is immensely powerful, I find the customization options for generated alt texts to be somewhat limited. Expanding these options to allow more tailored SEO strategies would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Installation and configuration are straightforward and simple.
The results are excellent. It can also consider the context of the image, like the post. And it also works for WooCommerce Products like a breeze.
For photography images, it is superb (Product-Shots, Events, People, Offices, Architecture, etc. – perfect).
I also like the bulk action: Generate, for all images that do not already have ALT texts, automatically AI ALT texts in bulk.
I am using it for WordPress & WooCommerce (with the WP Plugin).
For Blogs with multiple authors, it is good because the authors tend to ignore ALT -texts ;-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only downside is that it does not work so well for rough Illustrations, Icons and simpler things, but that is no wonder and can be ignored.
And of course, it is credit-based. I guess openAI-API – so no wonder.
But the time-saving makes these small amounts a no-brainer… Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AltText.ai saves me so much time. I am a wedding photographer and I blog about my weddings, which means I add tons of images to my Wordpress site. The amount of alt text I had to write completely overwhelmed me, which resulted in me skipping this step, and my SEO suffering. AltText.ai generates the alt texts for me, and I only check them to see if they are up to my liking. Less time spent, less need to think, it's great! It also integrates with YoastSEO. If I add keywords for my blogs, AltText.ai will use these keywords in the alt text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes the alt texts are stuffing the keywords. In that case, I just rewrite the alt text a little bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

its ease of use, affordability, and customization options make it a must-have for content creators Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
occasionally find the descriptions lack nuance or require manual adjustments, especially when dealing with complex or highly specific images Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how I can give is some keywords to use when describing the meta tag information it will generate. I can also give is some negative keywords which is also a plus. It is easy to start using it. I starrted using it the same day for our agency website. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think that if they are asking me to upload an image I should be able to download it already labeled. Alot of the times I am having to copy and paste what it generated. I also wish the had a bulk upload option. I would use it more often if I could bulk upload more images. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
AltText WordPress plugin is a must-have for website owners and developers who prioritize accessibility and SEO. Its intuitive interface, automation features, and seamless integration make it a valuable asset for users of all skill levels. By ensuring that every image is accompanied by meaningful alt text, AltText not only enhances the user experience but also contributes to a website's overall success in the digital landscape. Currently, the plugin primarily relies on the image file name for automation. Having additional settings to tailor the automation process based on specific criteria or preferences could provide users with more control and flexibility. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AltText.ai provides a starting point for the alt-tags on uploaded images, which lifts some load off our team. AltText.ai is also smart about using our SEO terms, so its helping us manage SEO opportunity too without negatively impacting accessibility (which is the primary reason we use the tool). The integration with our CMS was also a snap via a plugin, and went into production quickly. This service is now in use on a daily basis for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I wish we'd found this tool for previous CMSes, though we're happy to works for our present toolset. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Let's face it - people who run blogs by themselves have to keep a lot of plates spinning, and sometimes that means things just don't get done. SEO for my images was that for me, I just never had the time to focus on that when I had so many other things to do.
That's why I like AltText so much. It needs to learn about your blog before it gets things done well enough, but it does things so much better than I was (i.e. not at all). It's been a helpful addition to my blogs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It requires fine tuning and messes up sometimes Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I know how important alt text is for images, but adding it to each image one at a time can slow down the web design process. AltText.ai instantly scans any images I upload and creates alt text that can be used as is or with some tweaking. The WordPress integration works seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes my keywords are added to the alt text in what I assume is an attempt to help search rankings, but often these keywords don't relate to the image. Of course you are able to edit any AltText.ai suggestions if you don't believe the alt text accurately reflects the image or the purpose of that image. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
