Almabase's customer service is second to none, they can't do enough to help and are always super speedy with responses. The setup process was very easy, and I am able to manage the site and add content very easily (and I have no experience of website development). Almabase was very pleasant to work with. We were able to tailor my contract based on what I needed and wanted. They listened to my vision and gave suggestions about how I could impliment those ideas. The platform itself is not difficult to learn. I was able to to manage setting up the site by using an online graphic design site for the images I needed. Almabase helped with the more complex tasks. Their communication was clear, consistent, and helpful. The customer support was very responsive.
To do administraive tasks, I login a few times a week and spend perhaps 15 minutes each time, but it may not require others that much time once the initial set up is used. The features I can add on are numerous and it's able to replace a social media group. It easily integrated into our website brand and it was not hard to do a custom URL. Some of the backend organization is not organized the way my brain thinks. I had to learn to "think like Almabase". Now I have a general idea of how they organize things, but initially it was a little hard to remember where administrative tools and features were located. Fortunately it is well organized. Almabase has been a significant improvement as our online portal for event registration and email communication, and easily integrates with our Blackbaud RE database. The user experience for our alumni and friends has been much smoother, and preparing emails has been easy and intuitive. The customer support has been outstanding. For the most part, the response time to questions and problems is very prompt, and support staff sticks with you until your issue is solved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can't say that we have any particular dislikes. Almabase is still relatively young as a product, and so I periodically find things that can't be done yet. The Almabase support team goes above and beyond to make sure my questions are always answered in a timely manner. As a community college, we often struggle to find the right tool to engage our alumni. Our partnership with Almabase has helped to streamline our event registration process, cutting down on long lines and manual processes and helping us build a pipeline of engaged alumni. The system is easy to use, and the reports and donation pages are very user-friendly. One of the challenges with Almabase is how it intergates with Raiser's Edge. Some of the event report and batching processes are still in development and working with it for seated events can be a challenge. Our institution leveraged the Almabase platform to execute our seventh annual spring giving event, and our experience was overwhelmingly positive for several reasons:
-The interface was very easy to use to build our giving event site
-Our donors enjoyed the giving experience, including the functionality to share the campaign, the tribute wall, the page layout, and the ease of giving
-Reconciling the gifts in Raiser’s Edge was as easy as it’s ever been for us - the process of matching the gifts to the appropriate records made this a very smooth process for our gift processing team.
-The clear and supportive customer experience was unmatched. We had regular meetings to discuss our project; and questions were resolved quickly.
-We were impressed with the go-live support - the Almabase team was very responsive when issues arose during our three-day event.
