What do you like best about Alemba Service Manager?

I like the ease of use of the designer which has a great supporting workflow that you can do complex requests and scripts.

The search feature is very intuitive and fully featured.

Customisation of the end user portal is simple and very easily to configure.

Pricing is very competative. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alemba Service Manager?

Issues with custom dashboards initially and we're now stuck with personalised ones with no tool to create new ones.

Some features that haven't worked for the last few updates still not working. This isn't preventing the system from working but something that should really have been resolved.

Due to the huge list of features (which could be seen as a positive) would be nice to have more documentation/video guides on some of these features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Alemba Service Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's providing us with a 24/7 call logging/request logging facility. With our own customised scripts (and now using webhooks) we could offer our users access to some services outside of our working hours.

ASM is cost effective compared to other products we reviewed and has plenty of features that we are still discovering Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We moved a lot of our ITIL based functions into vFire. e.g. Service desk ticketing, change management, asset inventory. Prior to implementing vFire they were all separate disparate systems. It's highly flexible (which is not always a good thing) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's very flexible which can become confusing if you lose sight of your desired finishing point. having a clear plan and desired results for implementing it is a must. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Alemba Service Manager?

The best thing about vFire is the dashboard view and time stamp on the service request.

Dashboard view offers great customization options, upto 15 types of columns can be added in a regular view.

Reports are exported in excel, they look nice and sorted.

The integration of the users information with on premise Active Directory is really good and shows a lot of detailed information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The version used by our organizations lacks modern features like AI integration,knowledge base integration, etc however it is acceptable considering the effective pricing of the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We are using vFire for routing and management of IT service management and service desk operations.

What do you like best about Alemba Service Manager?

It provides an end user friendly interface for dashboard view, export in excel option and offers a good number of customization as well.

What do you like best about Alemba Service Manager?

Besides cost, Vfire is very simple with all basic features available based on ITIL framework.

It gives you nice excel reports for your vfire tickets and Dashboard view is descriptive yet simple.

I am using vFire Core version 9.6 for incident management and handling service request. It gives me easy reports on the desired formats.

What do you like best about Alemba Service Manager?

I like how easy it is to use the application. It's very user friendly and easy to set up. I was able to remote in anywhere I had an internet connection which made working from home more convenient. I was always able to get work done anywhere at anytime. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alemba Service Manager?

There were no way to calculate depreciation. I've found some software that does and this is not a product that does. Sometimes, when the system was down, it made it hard to get anything done. If you're not able to access the remote desktop there is no workaround to work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Alemba Service Manager?

VMware Service Manager manages large amounts of virtual machines without feeling overwhelmed. Each VM tree is available and simple to navigate.I have used this on several client projects and it integrates very well with their business workflows. Most of the standard IT processes like Incident management, problem management ,change management etc are easy to setup up out of the box.This tool is just a great solution for cloud environments Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Alemba Service Manager?

One thing I didn't like VMware is slow to respond when executing scripts (or automated processes) it kind of makes you think that nothing is happening. A little more visual indicators would be nice to see to let you know that something is going on.Configuring a Virtual machine and the time it takes to configure is very long Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
