Scheduling in AlayaCare is great. The ability manage clients and their services is quite robust and solid, their customer support is also solid, although occasionally feeling dismissive. I wasn't around for implementation or integration with other systems, but that element seemed quite doable from what I hear from others. Using AlayaCare daily is a decent ecperience for me. The recently introduced monthly updates from quarterly updates cause a lot of frustration as an admin. Often there are very minimal new relevant features for our organisation, but there are always new issues introduced that causes issues and annoyances for me and other users. Because it's monthly, I feel like I'm constantly playing catchup with update notes as well as the aformentioned issues that pop up.
Additionally, there is minimal clinical features in it compared to similar systems, this has caused a lot of frustration for our clinical governance team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I like how you can add employee profile details for the clients to see within their Family Portal app, we have a neighbourhood model approach with our clients and so creating personal information about our staff for the clients to read, along with the employees photo provides a personal touch for both the client and the family. Once the system has been deployed there is little oportunity to get enhacement features added other than posting on their community board and hoping it will generate enough votes to have it added to their roadmap. Not able to use to its full potential. For example uploading documentation from firld visits to admin is a longer process & not legible so its a key funtion not being used. Running any type of report is a complicated process, should have a field tab for ease instead. Kinks like if I enter in a nurses vacation time it should block them off of offers otherwise there is no point in adding that if i have to keep track of those things manually on a calender /list to not have them getting notifications while on vacation. AlayaCare is a fairly robus tool which allows scheudlers/supervisor to communicate with front line employees. The Android App is a great tool and farily inexpensive (miniumial cell phone requirments) way for fornt line employees to acccess client data, scehdules, and clock in/out of visit for payroll purposes. AlayaCare is slow to correct/fix issues in a timely manner. They releases monthly updates which appears to be a good feature but these regularly cause issues with existing features and it is difficult to have these items troubleshooted and corrected/fixed in a timely manner. The help desk is quick to receive and review your helpdesk items but it usually takes at least 1-2 months or longer to correct/fix these issues.
AlayaCare's accounting features/fuctions (especially Accounts Receivable) is weaker than other similar software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'm not fond of the reporting feature. It takes to long to update after making a change. The Data Exploration 2.0 feature is too difficult. You have to learn how to create your own reports which is a bit extensive and the training given is very basic. Even a well seasoned IT tech would need a thorough walk through to create reports. One of the most valuable assets about Alayacare is the financial portion and the charting. Billing and charting has become so much more simple and efficient verses our old EMR system. Additionally, I really appreciate meeting with my account representative on a weekly basis to review projects, brainstorm solutions, or enhancements. Alayacare is created for organizations with W2 employees. While our agency holds W2 employees, we have a larger ratio of 1099 contractors that work with us. This affects the operations of our workflows. While we have used what we could from Alayacare, we still find ourselves having to create a new workflow that better fits our needs when it comes to 1099 contractors. This includes workflows for offers and payment reimbursement. There is also room to grow in servicing U.S. clients better. We as a U.S. client use specific verbiage and operational flow contrasting to Canadian clients. It would be nice if Alayacare was a bit more universal fulfilling those specific U.S. client needs. Great product, that have multiple features that many other rostering solutions don't have. The software has significantly stabilised and developed in the past years. The connectivity of Alayacare is very nice, the website, the app, the emails, it offers a very nice package for communicating with your staff. Customer support has been very good, when you've got a bug and submit a ticket they will respond within the day and usually the bug is resolved within a couple days. It's not 100% designed for our type of business so sometimes it gets awkward making some of our programs work in it. Further as you can't delete a lot of things it can be easy to end up with a glut of things that you just have to ignore because you can't hide them. What I found most helpful was the ability to customize about 90% of what we wanted. This allowed us to improve our workflow, cut costs, and provide quality patient care. We now utilize one software program for billing, scheduling, payroll, and patient documentation. Alayacare's mobile app is extremely easy to use even for our less than tech-savvy employees. The downside is that it does take a good bit of time and computer knowledge to customize and build forms. This was short lived though as we worked with customer support throughout our implementation process.
