Akamai has a tendency to charge "on-boarding fees" as a services charge to each time a new product is activated. There appears to be a tilt towards monetising every implementation both from licences and from service fees. We are customers that prefer to self-help and if we are capable of doing that, we shouldn't have to use the compulsory, paid on-boarding services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
