There is a dramatic hidden cost because their customer service is terrible. Occasionally things do not work, especially when installing on new computers. On these occasions, your staff will spend hours on hold waiting for Thomson Ruters to answer the phone. Many times the system will drop the call after you have waited an extended period forcing the process to start over. In our experience, the IRS has better customer service than AdvanceFlow. I liked the concept of AF: a one-source engagement manager that allowed functionality in the field, at home or in the office. However, that's just not how it worked out. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It feels like AF wasn't properly beta-tested before release. We constantly experienced issues that ranged from minor inconveniences to leaving us dead in the water during the busy season. When we reached out to customer service, it took excessive amounts of time. If I can get a sales call 3x per week, then I should get solutions to issues even faster. The whole point of switching from engagement to advanceflow was to gain efficency and plain and simple with all the problems that have arised it is the complete opposite. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Im am not sure what is worse the customer service or the software. Extremely long waits just to talk with somebody. They allow a callback service that claims that you will be first in line well after receiivng that call back. I have been currently on hold for 1 hour and 45 minutes and have not spoken to anyone. There are many software issues that have made me consider quitting my job so I do not have to deal with this software again. For example Checkpoint engagement workpapers automitcally duplicated in a client binder for no reason and they cannot be permanently deleted. Next workpapers get linked for no apparent reason. I go to click on 1 workpaper and another one gets checked off as well. Finally the most behind frustrating thing is that when I have clicked on one workpaper to delete it a completely seperate folder gets checked off as well and deletes with it. Then when I try to delete said workpaper permanently and its the only thing that is checked off everything gets deleted instead and I have to start all over. And heres the real kicker even if I try to permanently restore the workpaper and the folder with other workpapers in it instead and permanently deletes and is gone forever. This service sucks. AdvanceFlow software upgraded the company's internal audit issues. It has been of great use and value because it brings everything needed for an audit. The files are available in real time bringing super detailed and personalized reports with options for actions, dates, users, devices. It's very safe and reliable. Onboarding/setup. We were coming from caseware and their Data conversion utility to covert caseware to advanceflow sucks. First we had some dependecy the program needed but it didn't prompt and tell you that. IT gave a debug log where you had to dig through and puzzle it together. Even their on tech team was baffled for a while. After we got the program to actually open, we had other errors where we had to send sample folders to them only to find out the program does not work with periods in directory names. Then we could not just rename the folder, we had to also rename all the files in the folder to match. Then the program would not work properly as a standard user, would not work in elevated admin rights. Would only work from a logged in admin user. This is the worst experience. In the end we wasted weeks just to get to the point of actually putting data in advanceflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At the time of the audits for our company it has been of great advantage, since it makes all the files or documents available to us in real time. It gives us a detailed report where we can see the history of all the actions carried out, allowing us to keep track of the start and end dates of each of them. It is an interface that requires technical knowledge to be able to handle it in its entirety, draw on its tools completely and obtain expected results, so that new members who do not have said knowledge cannot exercise complete management through this software without first being trained, I think a less complex interface to handle would be an attractive solution to this. For our company, despite the aforementioned, it continues to give us powerful tools and support for our workflow, therefore it is a very powerful software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Is a great tool for autiding purposes. Has a wide variety of tools and convines enterprise level processing power with the cloud. Is secure, very easy to use and you perform several tasks at once Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I used the free demo and I was able to see how great this software is. Has amazing auditing tools for data intensive sharing and streamlined engagements. Uses the go file room Platform.
