There are a few quirks about expert i do not like. I think it is silly that sometimes certain screens get locked by other users, even though they are not in the screen. Also the fact that we cannot use spaces in invoice numbers is forcing us to change invoice numbers that vendors send us which is not proper. We moved to Aderant from Elite since Thomson was no longer going to support it. There have been some good and bad with Aderant, but I feel like that is all software. I like that Aderant auto populates information as you type in certain fields which makes the data entry time go down and that you can attach images to your invoices and payments so all information can be in one place. There are a lot of glitches and sometimes things get stuck where you have to contact support to fix it as there is no way to fix it yourself. I think the software is good for billing but it's sometimes a lot of work to get something fixed through support. Also reports take a long time to run in Appshell. Where do I begin! The system is not user friendly. I have worked in Legal Billing for over 10 years and have worked with a few billing systems. EA Pro is by far the most complicated system to understand. I don't know if it was the product or the people training, but when you are being shown a new system, they should have a complete knowledge of the system. It was not "cut and dry" training and that is a big part of the problem. I could not follow the training at all and it was a very frustrating when you are trying to learn a system and the trainers do not have a good way of explaining. I love how we can keep literally everything that we need for a case saved within this program! I love we can store case documents, picture and anything you could possibly need all in one place. I love how everything is broken down and has its own space to be stored. ATO is so very user friendly! There are multiple ways to search for a case that you are wanting to find.
