I like how user friendly it has been for child check in. And their customer service has been great! They offer a lot of options and I hope we use it more. The directory is what I would like to have us utilize. I loved that they offered to send us to a training event. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our financial person had used Quickbooks for a number of years and felt like she could use quickbooks more. It would be nice to have a person stop by and help walk us through it. Technology is hard and so is change. We average about 300 people at our church on Sunday, so it gives you an idea of what we work with. The cost is also pretty high. I primarily use the People Module: It's easy to load in information and to update. Customer service over the phone is very useful and helpful, kind, courteous. ACS has improved in leaps and bounds over the past few years, and I hope it will continue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
For lack of a better word, I find it clunky to use. A user needs to go through multi steps to generate a simple attendance report. It's not entirely "intuitive". I can't usually figure out how to do something. If it's a new task, I usually need to call the help line. And, it just seems a little old-fashioned.
One of my biggest difficulties is not being able to easily convert a list into an Excel file. In some situations it works and in others it doesn't. And when it does work, it's "clunky" getting it done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It is efficient and more intuitive than their previous offering of the City. It has the backend features that a cloud user would expect for finances and group management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Several critical errors. The website version of Realm is divided into two platforms: backend admin and community. Backend stays persistent and responsive even when you navigate away or do not use it for a while. The Community side dies if you move away and takes minutes, if ever, to load pages upon your return. You will notice this on Messages and Events (Community side) but not on Groups and Giving (Admin side). Realm tech support says this is a known issue and WILL NOT be resolved. This leaves the software fundamentally unusable throughout the day. If you can log out or clear your cache, you may get it to start back up but the problem WILL ALWAYS repeat itself. Being told that the problem is what it is – is terrible support and they should not market a product that does not function that they will not fix. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
ACS has been developed with lots of options. You can do anything from database management to payroll to check-in Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It takes a lot of training to get comfortable with ACs Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We like that our information is easy to access across a variety of platforms. It's easy to find information with a variety of parameters. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Can be glitchy. We have a lot of information in our database so sometimes the bulk of information is slow in loading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The database holds a lot of information and has the ability to track several components Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The system is very cumbersome and not intuitive at all. It takes a lot
To learn how to properly run the reports to get the information that you need Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of use. The price. The convenience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The price of going to a conference to learn. I don't like on-line video learning and tend to try and just figure it out which slows me down. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our finance team members have found the accounting side of ACS to be the most helpful. Whereas, the staff members overseeing ministries have had difficulty making ACS work for their needs each week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest, it has a learning curve that is difficult to overcome. While it's powerful in creating reports and getting your information, the difficulty lies in getting accurate reports and information. The interface is antiquated and difficult to understand, especially on an Apple based computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can do almost anything with ACS Church Management Software -- really and truly, it is robust and capable of so many things. The addition of the app to access information on the go has been a game changer for our church staff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The program is not as intuitive as it could be. If you do not have some training, there are things you will not be able to figure out. There is very robust documentation online, which is great. But it has been really difficult to me to teach any part of the system to other staff members who are not technically savvy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
