Only the payroll function. I only use these for payroll and financial statements. Payroll is decent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Everything besides payroll. Transferring my clients from CSA is impossible for financial statements. Then Thomson Reuters has the nerve to charge $275.00 to fix the conversion process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We utilize a lot of thomson reuters products for our CPA firm and Accounting CS makes it easy to import to UltraTax CS Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Our firm just made the switch as Creative Solutions Accounting expired and this is a replacement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The software allows the integration of various aspects of company accounting; including payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Designing various reports and financial statements is very technical, and the help and how to is not always very helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Mostly liked the ease of install and central managed Server with MS SQL Server DB options. Product is a major upgrade from previous version where we did not have the option for SQL. Central location for a file repository make administration much easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
With where we were coming from there was not too much to dislike. Usability could still use a little improvement but I can tell with this product improvements they are heading down the correct path. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The best feature is the ability for more that one person to be in a client at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike the time it takes to post transactions. It takes a long time to refresh the page to be able to post another one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The payroll features work well, multiple users can access a single account at one time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Accounts receivable and accounts payable are a nightmare to work with. The AP and AR functions require multiple unintuitive and confusing steps, and it's very difficult for clients to figure them out and remember how to use them correctly. If the setup with AP and AR isn't done right, getting everything corrected can take days after you or the client has started booking transactions. AP aging schedules regularly don't tie to the balance sheet, even when transactions are booked right, and support actually recommend we make adjusting journal entries to fix the problem because it would be too complicated to fix otherwise.
The invoice functionality for A/R is very lacking. Invoices have strict character limitations, making it nearly impossible to enter detailed invoices. Invoices must have a quantity listed for each item, it's impossible to just list a couple items with no quantity. We actually had a potential client who decided against working with our CPA firm (we try to get all of our clients on Accounting CS) because they didn't like the invoice features.
The software is slow and laggy, whether navigating between screens or printing reports. It can take several minutes to push out a standard monthly accounting package consisting of GL, income statement, balance sheet, and bank reconciliation for a medium sized client. Booking transactions is slow and laggy, and it's a huge nuisance if you aren't importing transactions from an Excel spreadsheet or from a Quicken file from a bank website.
If Thomson Reuters could fix the speed issues with this product and fix AP and AR, I think it would be a decent choice for small businesses and accounting firms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
