Support tries to help, but is very slooooowin responding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We had a merchant account with 2checkout for 6 years.....then suddenly they closed the account. No information on WHY , but some silly generic email. Since March 2003 they can only handle payment through Paypal, how sad is that? Probably because Paypal is now also doing their "risk management" they will close many merchant accounts soon which they just do not like, especially in service related industries.
So you have been warned, open an account with 2Checkout-Verifone and its just a matter of time when they will close it and just sit on your money. I have already seen many negative reviews on other well known "merchant services" websites and its only getting worse and worse since they have been acquired by Verifone.
They have destroyed many small businesses already by closing their merchant accounts for no valid reason at all. We have been in good standing all along, no where near 0.5% chargebacks and practically no refunds. But that is not important for 2checkout-verifone, they will close your account and now we have to wait 180 days to receive the remaining amount of money in our account. The worst thing is that we have read already that many other businesses were not able to get their money back after that 180 waiting period. We've recently had quite a few issues with the responsiveness of the support team. This makes running our own support team much more difficult (e.g. providing our customers with reliable, timely information about failed purchases or delayed refunds). We've also suffered from a few bugs/glitches in the shopping cart (e.g. currency conversion errors). Our account manager has been great, though. Verifone helps me with a lot of things. It helps me run my ecommerce payment infrastructures, helps me accept advanced payment methods, Also helps me a lot with acquiring brands Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing wrong with verifone except for the fact that it has a few UI bugs here and there, sometimes their servers slow down, else its a really good service and absolutely don't regret using it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I have been using 2Checkout for over 10 years integrated with Cubecart. Mostly it has worked fine. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As long as there are no issues it works fine, but as soon as there are issues expect no support. I submitted refunds for the first time and some never got processed. Email support kept repeating the same story that they had issues and were using a third party to process. 2 months later no update and no refunds for my customers. I finally found a phone number and the phone rep was very rude and just sat on the phone not talking to me unless I asked him questions. What kind of support is that. How can you hire support who act like they don't want to talk to you and it is not their job to help you? This is the last straw and I cannot handle this company anymore.

The 2Checkout (now Verifone) team helped us with two A/B tests to improve our existing checkout experience and increase key metrics like the conversion rate and revenue per visitor. The first test compared our current template with a 3-column variation, while the second test went further and compared the winner of the previous test (i.e., the 3-column checkout) with an optimized version of the same 3-column template.
