We have been using 2Checkout as a cart provider for a few years now. The platform is stable and reliable, and it supports the most important payment methods for a huge list of countries. The interface and dashboard are easy to use and onboarding for new colleagues doesn't take much time. It's great how you are able to build your desired cart with the long list of parameters provided by 2Checkout and their support in realizing special customizations. Also our account managers and technical contact persons have always been reliable partners that are interested in our business and do their best to improve the cart with and for us. In the past there were some problems with down times of the cart, but that has improved a lot.

The Merchant of Record model is a efficient way to quickly release new products or enter new markets. I have been involved with 2Checkout (Verifone) for nearly three years. I have watched as they have refined the product and improved the support of the product. During my early experience we had a significant amount of issues (most were related to our interoperabiity with the product). Recently our focus has been able to shift from address issues to enhancing the use of the product and leveraging new capabilities. The platform is very customizable and has proven to be dependable. We have been able to have new capabilities added to the program at our request. We process hundreds of thousands of transactions through the platform each month with few issues. The most significant complaint I have about the system is being addressed. We need our local offices paid in the local currencies. To do this we were required to pay a currency conversion fee. This was confusing as the customer transactions were in the local currency, so why would we need to pay extra to have the payout currency converted back to the currency. The other issue we have is related to the prioritzation of platform changes we request; as a high volume user of the platform the expectation is that our requests start with a higher priority. There support team and their policy can ruin your business right when you have fully depended upon them to manage your revenue collection. We used them for 7 years and at one point we found a glitch in there system about charges and they guided us to create new account as we were 'legacy user' and we were not being treated in any category like '2sell' '2monetize' so we created second account, and BANG! I am using 2Checkout.com since 2014. I got always timely response from Team 2Checkout.com. My payment got stuck due to my local banks and my local banks refunds back my funds to 2Checkout.com but Team 2Checkout.com help me in that hard time till my my local banks issuses resolved.

Their system is designed to take the burden off selling your product (or service) so you can focus more on your work. They are up to date with all legal aspects and can handle all payment-related taxes so you can sell practically anywhere in the world.
They have lots of currencies, supported payment methods, configurable pricing (subscription support which is the basis of our company), A/B testing, well-optimized templates for shopping carts and so on. Their customer support used to be good. Sadly, the changes from Avangate to 2Checkout and now to Verifone took their toll on the quality of support. To give you some context, we've had major issues this year either with their API or their shopping cart and while their impact was noticeable, the resolutions were extremely slow.
It's been two weeks since invoice generation stopped working and our account manager simply ignores our pleas for help - with each reply acknowledging the issue and promising that they will address this urgently but it seems we have different understandings of what that means. Meanwhile, our customers are turning to us for assistance and we're stuck. Invoice sending through their control panel also doesn't work so all we can do is direct our customers to the 2Checkout support - which, from what we've heard, replies in a couple of weeks and is usually not very helpful.
