We are having a lot of defects however many of our process are manual and don’t collect data via a plc. I believe minitab has a function that helps with variable attributes

As a consultant, we used to get free use of the software (our Lean Six Sigma training had Minitab embedded in it, and we introduced Minitab to our clients as well as doing initial training of client personnel on how to use the Minitab s/w to analyze their data and often helped apply some of the additional elements that the client may never have realized could be applied to their problems or efforts to optimize operations, such as Monte Carlo simulation. Minitab does have some confusing menus, and there are a lot of submenus or options that take time to find.

Souvent, il y a des différences subtiles dans l'analyse en fonction des options choisies, et sans accès à la boîte de dialogue affiliée, il est difficile (voire impossible) de déterminer les options/configuration qui ont été sélectionnées pour ce résultat analytique. I like the fact that I can process and statistically analyze large amounts of data in half the time that took me with Excel or other equivalent SW programs. This not only increases my productivity but also reduces the burden and time needed to cross-check complex calculations and work with organized & tailored workflows. All that is needed with Minitab is a research-oriented and analytical mind, a love for complex DOEs, quality outcomes, and a passion for optimizing processes!
