Disappointing Experience with Contractor Foreman – Extremely Slow and Unreliable
I’ve been using Contractor Foreman for a couple of months now, and unfortunately, the performance issues have made it nearly impossible to rely on for our day-to-day work. One of the biggest problems is how incredibly slow the platform is. It takes forever to load projects, and even simple tasks like switching between tabs or accessing the dashboard can be painfully slow. This isn’t just a minor inconvenience – it has a real impact on our team's productivity.
We’ve had to repeatedly clear the cache to try and improve the speed, but even that doesn’t seem to help much. It’s frustrating to have to wait several minutes just to get simple tasks done, especially when we’re trying to stay on top of multiple projects and deadlines.
Contractor Foreman is meant to streamline workflows and improve efficiency, but its sluggish performance has the opposite effect. I’m constantly finding myself wondering if there’s a better alternative that actually works in a timely manner. At this point, I’m really disappointed with the overall functionality, especially considering how critical these tools are for managing our work effectively.

We use contractor foreman for almost everything. From estimating jobs, tracking employees time, purchase orders, change orders, billing, invoices, etc. Best part is the mobile app which I found to be better than most of the others out there. Customer service is amazing. I can connect to a human usually within a few minutes online and if they cannot help me they will escalate the issue and someone will get back to me by email. Intergration with Quickbooks can get annoying to set up, and rarely a item won't transfer over. Would also like a few minor things updates like more control to fix time cards, having estimates auto populate expiry dates, or being able to set defualt tax for different modules. Contractor Foreman has been a game-changer for my construction business! I'm finally able to get a real handle on what's happening in the field and in the office, all thanks to its streamlined platform. The real-time notifications are a lifesaver. Knowing where everyone is and what they're working on has drastically improved our communication and efficiency.
What I really love is how Contractor Foreman tracks our labor. It seamlessly integrates with our payroll company, making job costing a breeze. This has saved me countless hours of manual data entry and helped us get a much clearer picture of our project expenses.
The "1 build" feature is another huge win for me. Being able to manage proposals and job costing all within a single screen is fantastic. If I could add one thing, it would be a built-in material calculator within the "1 build" section. Having a tool to quickly calculate quantities and explore different options before sending a proposal would be incredibly helpful and keep everything within that single, unified workflow. La facilité d'utilisation et la liaison des modules pour éviter les multiples saisies de données. Nous utilisons Contractor Foreman depuis fin juillet 2024. Nous utilisons à la fois le site web ainsi que l'application mobile. La combinaison de ces deux éléments fonctionnant en tandem en temps réel nous aide à travailler efficacement en continu entre le personnel de terrain et le bureau. Nous utilisons des tickets de service dans Contractor Foreman puisque 99 % de notre travail est effectué quotidiennement. La seule chose qui ne fonctionne pas pour nous est le fait que les tickets de service ne sont pas connectés aux cartes de temps. Nous pointons sur un projet qui a un ticket de service, mais le temps n'est pas enregistré dans le ticket de service. Il est enregistré dans le projet. Ce serait vraiment bien si nous pouvions simplement pointer sur le ticket de service ainsi que sur le projet. Contractor Foreman has a decently helpful AI bot to help with any issues you have, but as soon as you need a human's help, you are instantly connected to a support agent. And I mean INSTANTLY. Of the many times I needed help, I received help from a human right away! I always had confidence useing the program knowing that if I ran into issues, it could easily be resolved quickly and efficiently. CF is fairly easy to use and for our small company the price is right for us. It has everything we need to track our Project, Contractors, employees and vehicle and much more. Many setting that can be added and/or removed as you wish. Connects to Quick Books as well. It has quick chat assist that is very helpful that appears to be real humans, at this point. CF has a few quirky things that are not very intuitive. When inputting invoices you have to start from scratch every time. I cannot find a way to input multiple invoices to the same project without having to put the project in every time. J'ai construit la base de données moi-même en ajoutant chaque matériau manuellement, mais je suis conscient qu'ils ont créé une base de données qui se remplit automatiquement, ce qui serait idéal pour les grandes entreprises de construction ou les travaux commerciaux. Les modèles pour les devis et les factures sont également un énorme gain de temps lorsqu'ils sont liés au CID. J'apporte mon ordinateur portable et m'assois avec le client pour offrir un devis avant de partir et ils ont une idée de ce que tout coûtera, ce qui a considérablement augmenté mon taux de réussite. Cela m'aide à paraître professionnel. Le support client semble excellent, lorsque j'ai dû l'utiliser, le membre de l'équipe était très serviable, compétent et rapide pour m'assister. En ce qui concerne la fonctionnalité, le logiciel est excellent et peut-être un peu trop pour moi puisque je n'utilise pas beaucoup des modules régulièrement, mais il n'y a vraiment rien à détester à son sujet. Il semble un peu vieillot du côté du design. Certaines des options d'email lors de l'envoi de devis manquent, comme ne pas pouvoir m'envoyer une copie du devis, mais ce n'est vraiment pas nécessaire puisque tout est conservé dans CF de toute façon. Jusqu'à présent, nous aimons vraiment le module de cartes de temps ainsi que les formulaires et les listes de contrôle. Nous introduisons lentement ce logiciel à nos équipes sur le terrain pour leur faciliter l'adaptation ainsi qu'à l'équipe au bureau. J'adore le chat d'aide qu'ils offrent. En tant que personne qui aime généralement parler à des humains (pas à l'IA), j'aime vraiment l'intégration de l'IA dans le chat d'aide. Cela me met à l'aise pour poser plus de questions et la meilleure partie est que vous avez l'option de parler à un humain.
