Since we already use the fundraising software Raiser's Edge, they work great together. Very user friendly. Customer service support has also been unmatched - we requested a custom demo and had all of our questions answered. Quite pricey compared to our previous accounting software and still we did have to do quite a bit of customization before we were up and running. Some reports when exported to Excel still requires manipulation and re-formatting when the fields are not properly labeled. If our organization was smaller, this would be much more robust than necessary - I used QuickBooks Desktop most often in the nonprofit world and it worked great with Qbox integration (if you need online syncing). The modules on Financial Edge NXT are developed to work one way and cannot always be modified if you organization works another way. We have had so many issues with how the software is performing. There is not an issue with the product but the fact that it is not functioning as it should and the issues resolve on their own and/or are very time consuming to troubleshoot and often times with a significant delay in a resolution from Blackbaud. This has been a great asset to my role especially as we had the chance to avail of a year of training online. The ease of now obtaining financial reports and gift reports etc is fabulous. The simple things like adding emails to profiles etc have become easier and help me in my day-to-day activities.
