Our integration took a lot of upfront data and engineering investment, and since then we've had to keep doing more and more steep L/XL investments to do the kind of content testing, segment testing, and incentive value testing we'd see as the minimum we'd want to do with a product like this one. 1) The first problem with GetAmbassador, is that every additional feature costs money. For a small business, the price of the service 5x-ed (literally five times the original price) in 6 years.
2) Furthermore, you can't leave (as is the case with more referral programs to be honest). We have hundreds of people sharing our links — and so if they raise the price, the cost for us to leave is very high because all of the links would shut off.
3) Also, the support is non-existent, from what I understand all of the founding team has moved on — so it's basically just running as someone's acquisition. At the moment, all of my links have been down for 2 now, and literally no one has replied. My suggestion if you're looking for a referral program is to find a service where you OWN your links yourdomain/affiliatelinke123 etc. Otherwise, if you go with a referral company like GetAmbassador you are locked in.
